@DanteDevilHunter Spiderman 2 was crap. It was the second pile of crap just behind Horizon 2 that I didn't play to full completion because of how crap it actually was.

Putting aside the sheer volume of bugs the game had on launch, which should be unheard of in a first party title with a 200 million budget, the story was an utter mess and the side missions were literally the most soul destroying garbage I have ever encountered.

@Cloud39472 I have no idea why they bothered, but the remake train needs to stop and the industry needs to start thinking for themselves again instead of mining the depths of moria.

We will get to the point that 187 ride or die gets remade and no one wants that.

Although I think giving a 20 year old game with a new coat of paint a 9/10 was a bit silly, trying to change the scores on wiki is pointless.

I was in the queue at HMV when the hype was real for this back on PS2, and thought it was massively overrated when I played it, I just can't motivate myself to play it again.

Oh god, remaster city.

November to February isn't a long time in development terms, will only give them time to delete things and barely gives them time for polish, especially since they will be off for a good chunk of December. This is more to let the storm calm on the product than anything else I think.

It will be a while before I notice this, haven't had a reason to turn the PS5 on since Rebirth, and based on the upcoming schedule it will probably get removed by next year.

I've stayed offline since Socom 3 and Midtown Madness 3, have no plans to start now.

Literally first Sony console I haven't bought at launch going all the way back to picking up a PS1 from HMV. I just cannot find value in it because I'm at the point where my PC is more powerful than the pro and there just isn't enough exclusive and compelling content to warrant the purchase.

Do they have children working for these companies?

What kind of response is that for a company who wants people to spend money?

How many times do we have to see a company have that attitude and then go bust?

I was on the fence, now I will take his advice and keep my wallet closed.

I already own the PS4/PS5 version, as well as the PC version which will still look better and run better than this "remaster"

Wouldn't it make more sense to have the new protagonist as the spin off and let us enjoy the character we invested in?

I'll pass on this franchise until they release a Jin "Spin off". There was still more story to tell with Jin, as they could have followed the 2nd Mongol invasion, and that could have taken him to the mainland.

I think the Torii gate debacle was the final nail in the coffin for this garbage.

Ugh, it was utterly depressing for me, arthouse indie games, dark souls clones, remasters and then they cap it all off by retiring one of the most interesting characters Sony has ever created and bringing out a ghost 2 without him.

Sony just seems to be doing its best to make sure I'm not spending money.

@Vaako007 10k could get you a PS2 and all 4.5k games that were released on it I reckon.

I really enjoyed Remember Me and Vampyr, but Banishers characters didn't appeal to me.

Really excited about this, I'm only here for the single player content, but what they gave us was excellent.

The teams have run out of ideas. Remasters are the easiest way to rinse us, low cost, low effort, full price.

Even when they do come up with either a sequel or a new game they seem to be very badly written (I'm looking at you Forbidden West), packed to the rafters with unnecessary filler that stretches the game way too thin (Ragnarok) or just an overall shambles of the most inane side content I have ever seen (Spiderman 2).

Sony need to stop chasing trends and go back to creating rock solid 10-15 hour experiences that kept you from ever putting it down.

I do love me some PS2/PS3 Japanese jank, but not nerfed Japanese jank.

I'll pass on this, along with Dead Rising.

I've been buying FF games since PS1 as they passed my by during the SNES days and haven't missed an installment, but good lord 16 was dull. It started off really strong with some great side quests and story content then descended into an absolute slog round about hour 20. I just didn't connect with most of the characters with the exception of CID, they were just irritating. I've been loving the 7 remake and can't wait for the third, I just hope there is still an industry there by the time they release it. Quality overall is going through the floor.

I'll just wait for it on PC now. I'm pretty sure it will look better on my 4080, and I won't have to spend an additional £700.

It isn't running at native 4k, it's normally running at around 1080p and is being upscaled. If you are doing a like for like comparison to a PC, the PS5 pro is the equivalent of a pc running with a 3070 graphics card. You can actually get a mid range PC for roughly the same cost with the same performance.

@Fakeplastictree the problem with that statement is that the Pro is upgrading to the equivalent of a 30 series card, not a 40.

£700 to "upgrade" to a last gen graphics card. They are having a laugh.

I really can't get excited for this one, just like Veilguard, the more I see the less I want to play it.

Only playing the campaign on PC at the moment, but loving every minute.

So refreshing to have just a solid single player experience with a good story.

I've decided on the PC version of this on this occasion because it was £35 cheaper for the ultimate version on Steam, but cannot wait for the 5pm unlock!

I'm more amazed that people still buy Ubi games at launch, nevermind earlier.

It will be £30 by Christmas.

@dark_knightmare2 I've been buying Ubisoft games sing the Commodore Amiga days, simply look for yourself and compare graphical fidelity of AC Unity to this.

They have lost the knowledge on how to create compelling content.

This thing is 100% UbiSlop, and anyone giving this garbage more than a 5 are bought and paid for.

Just look at facial animations from AC Unity to this to see how much Ubisoft have fallen.

That looks like an exact copy of Deadlight, even down to the levels.

What gives?

Games like this make me feel like I own an Ouya rather than a PS5.
