@Intr1n5ic I haven't played the game, but I'll wager I do play it when it's massively discounted, very soon after release. This is bad for the developers, also. If this game's budget is as nuts as I'm hearing for this production, that isn't a good thing. There's a few of you here correcting misconceptions of a whole lot of others...if they are actually misconceptions. The point is perception is not in the game's favor. I can't see it doing well at this price, and if that price was necessary to recoup production costs, that was probably irresponsible.

@Intr1n5ic what does that have to do with the reality of video games? Were you around when publishers told us that a digital future would pass the savings from retail space, shipping, disc production, plastics, manuals etc on to us?

@Intr1n5ic the vinyl that I've collected since I was a teenager is all on my hard drive and ready to be burnt or copied at any time I choose. Damn right games are different.

@dark_knightmare2 so wait. It is or isn't the same thing? Is this significantly improved or not? Movies on different formats are not the same thing as a remake of a game. You can digitize movies from any format and own them forever. Completely different situation.

@dark_knightmare2 I was being a silly goose. Like if I really liked a game or was excited about it and was sick of negativity surrounding it so I went and wallowed in that negativity because other people made fun of it. Silly like that.

I'm definitely getting popcorn blockbuster vibes, but I'm not sure that's what I'm looking for. Especially out of a western RPG, where I'd like my choices to matter more. Those things seem like they usually don't go super well together. But who knows. I keep buying big games, feeling empty, and playing Doom or Quake. Or something on my Vita.

...unless Shadows doesn't meet expectations.
Their next "break glass in case of emergency" setting would be future city, I imagine.

I'm really interested to see where they land on monetization with all they've learned from GTA V. I mean all that they know they can get away with now, lol. I'm sure it will be rad. The Fast and Furious setting looks like hell to me.

I was enjoying the new Doom campaign from Machinegames, Nightdive, and id. Then Archviles showed up so I'm not sure if I'll continue with it. Been great so far, but I don't think Doom is fun with Doom 2 Archviles...just like the Spawn in Quake 1. As soon as they show up the game gets much, much worse.

I have three Dual Sense controllers. One is pretty much unusable because drift, and another is almost there. It's really, really frustrating that there's so few third party controller options on PS5. The Dual Sense is great (the drifting is annoying, but the kids use the thing allllll day), but barely any games use its features anyway, so Id rather have some more affordable options. And the track pad is stupid. And more games should use gyro.

@UntilRespawn that is part of what was said. Wada said in a famitsu interview that they were "not considering a revision like with Persona 5 to Persona 5 Royal, which involved significant changes and additions to the original title."
But then he added "fans can rest assured knowing that Persona 3 Reload offers a complete experience." Eh, so it's a little dicey. Either way, seems best for me anyway to wait about 18 months after any Atlus release to get the complete game.

@Oppyz666 that's the thing about comedies. There's only so many ways to say "that's not funny," but you KNOW you are right, and explaining why something is funny just makes it worse.

Anyway, I tried to like BL3, but the cacophonous stream of constant quipping in the world was way too much for me. My wife even put down her book and said "What is that you're playing that won't shut tf up?!?"

So it's a Guardians of the Galaxy like, and also an Overwatch-like? Pretty idiotic they thought it would carve out its own market, when it is built off a current market.

@dark_knightmare2 I don't hold it against anyone, enjoying Concord. It also would not surprise me if it was delayed. Even if the game is great, Marvel Rivals is going to eat its lunch.

I was just talking about this last night. Hogwarts is a tough act to follow, for sure, but the game SS should have been is obvious. Arkham but with Squad members that have strengths and weaknesses, and maybe you need to break them out of Arkham first. That's it. It wouldn't have beaten out HL, but that thing was a beast and HP fans be cray cray.
