I think I'd prefer a beefed up Steam Deck that could run the PS ports decently as well as a slew of other PC games. A dedicated handheld from Sony would take a lot of convincing for me personally.

@Mostik Ah yeah I hear you. Games like Squadrons and Astro are big pulls for me bc I really don’t think they’ll end up on VR2 any time soon, but saving toward the newer model is probably wiser in the long run. Thanks!

I know I’m in the minority here, but for someone who has yet to take the plunge into any form of VR that $200 off is very very tempting. I’ve loved trying out friends’ headsets and my partner and I have a decently long list of games we’d love to play with it.

That, or PSVR1 is now under $200 on Amazon and I have access to a handful of those games for free. Honestly enough on my list to play from that library to maybe justify the older model instead?

Finally, a game protagonist I could reasonably portray in a live-action adaptation!

A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! Hoping for some QOL improvements as some cheap difficulty on the PS2 made it a slog to retread levels after blowing through a very limited number of lives. @Kienda The two I referenced don’t even really qualify at this point. Smash Bros. spoiled the first one for everybody long ago, and the second reference was kept vague enough that only people who’ve played the game should know it. Appreciate your input, though!

Mountain out of a molehill imo, this one’s up there with the likes of ‘Sheik = Zelda’ and ‘the cake is a lie’; anyone who doesn’t know is likely too out of the loop to really care.

Those segments in TLOU2 were unforgettable! Love these types of integrations and will be eager to try both of them out in the new year.

I’ll stand by the appreciation for preservation of some more obscure older licensed games. But why so few and why seemingly just the most unremarkable or straight-up terrible ones? Toy Story 2 is like the only of these I’ve seen that has an actually decent reputation. Give us the PS3 version of Toy Story 3. The PS2 Battlefront 2. Not just one bad movie tie-in from 25 years ago…

Man, why not at least the PS3 versions of these games to stream? The PSP alternatives are so inferior.

I’m fine with this as long as they don’t beat us over the head with it right out the gate. Let the Wolverine game stand on its own, no more than say a fleeting reference to anything regarding the larger Marvel world. Then maybe expanding into a Wolverine-adjacent side quest in Spider-Man 3 could be some cool connective tissue!

This is really awesome to hear. I’m a big advocate for actors having access to professional intimacy training and coordination. Whether it’s full motion capture work or even just voice acting alone, all actors deserve to feel safe in their work environments just as everyone else does.

Moving to Orlando in the fall so I’d love to hit this up!! I’m big on the theme parks and this just seems like a match made in heaven

Definitely lacks some of the emotional weight the video game was afforded with having more time to let these story beats breathe, but overall a great ending to a fantastic season. Each and every episode had me hooked, though I totally understand why some familiar with the game may feel differently. For me, it’s easily the best television I’ve watched in awhile and I cannot wait to see how season 2 is tackled.

Love me some Tintin. Hope it’s worth checking out!

Love the look of it! Wouldn’t play it before access to the first game on PSVR2, though. Not gonna buy two headsets just to get the full experience haha

@zupertramp I would implore you to check out the official TLOU Podcast, hosted by Troy Baker with a good balance of input from the creators of both the show and the game. They make really solid arguments on the changes that were made in adapting the game into a series!

It’s just so good. I’m baffled by those who criticize the pace, the action, the character development, and the deviation from the source material, because it’s clear this was never meant to be a 1:1 remake. If that’s seriously what you’re looking for, go play the PS5 remaster!

For legal purposes this is a joke but it is nice to see something that shakes up the formula a bit more than the usual fare. Love a good local multiplayer campaign!

All in all, good to hear. Would’ve been nice to play over my spring break and it does make end of April into May look pretty packed for my interests, but if working out the kinks means a smoother play on day one then I’m all for it…

…That and I’m still working on my Kingdom Hearts binge. No way I’ll be done by March😵‍💫

They continue to outdo themselves. This was wonderful. I don’t even know where to begin. I love being the sole person in my watch group who’s played through the game and can still be pleasantly surprised by deviations like this. I know the main beats and the inevitable fates of many of these characters, sure, but they’re doing a fantastic job of keeping all audiences on their toes. And the exploration of the relationship on display here, just wow. I’ll be surprised if this particular episode doesn’t win any awards.
