Re: PlayStation's Domination of Europe Set to Continue with Renewed Champions League Sponsor

@ChrisDeku

Thanks for the numbers, however regarding the PS4 sales, it had 4 years longer to get to those numbers and up to that day, it is still available in stores. Let alone it had price cuts after a few years, if I remember correctly, Switch had none so far.

PS2 was great, yet I would guess that around 8-10 million sales were for the DVD player use only (worldwide). Still quite good numbers.

I do not see the dominance in the current day and age anymore by Sony (PS5). Do they lead by the end or even now, most likely, but dominance? Come on.

Re: PS5 Sales Reach 60 Million Milestone, Now at 61.7 Million Consoles Sold

I find the decline in sales compared to the Q1 of last year speaks volumes.
Also the 80% digital sales statistics, are there only games included that you can get on disc or did they include AW2 and BG3 ( I am aware it’s available in physical form but not everywhere and quite expensive) and all the other digital only games?

Again late to the party, the weather is just so good right now. Playing New Star GP and I am loving it, also kudos to Sony for finally bringing us Jeanne dˋArc.
Bought around 15 games in the ongoing sale, I am a sucker for cheap games.
Let’s hope by the next weekend I have finished at least one game.

Have a good week everyone.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 536

I just finished Nier Automata (all relevant endings). Such a great and unique game.

Now I am playing Bioshock 1 from the collection. Somehow I got the urge to replay it, finished it back in the Xbox 360 days and how much I enjoy this game. Great artstyle, capturing story and environment.

Later I will watch football in the hope that England starts to realize there potential and finally will deliver a decent game. In general this Euro is pretty weak, I think the players, well most of them, are out of juice. Too many games all year.

Enjoy whatever you are doing, no illegal stuff, naturally. ^^

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 535

I finished Tales of Kenzera, very mediocre game, technical issues and it felt quite empty.

Right now I play Nier Automata, not to far into the game yet, however in one section the game crashes 90% of the time. Bah.

On the Xbox I started State of Decay again, rough around the edges, but so much fun.

Happy weekend yˋall.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 534

I finished Sea of Stars, maybe my taste is off because I can not see how this game got such good reviews.

Started Tales of Kenzera, just finished the first act. The game feels pretty empty, on the side I play some Far Cry 5. But mostly I watch the Euro 24.

Enjoy your games and weekend.

Re: Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (PS5) - Familiar FromSoftware Brilliance

I do not care about the score, it is often just so obvious, that reviewers in the pro/contra section write something down, only to fill a quota. And in this case it makes very little sense to criticize that it is more of the same.

What I would appreciate is, if the main PushSquare reviewers could write down their philosophy on reviewing a game to get a better understanding in general.

Re: Preview: Astro Bot on PS5 Could Be the Best 3D Platformer This Side of Nintendo

@get2sammyb

Yeah of course several Nintendo platformers, however I excluded them. I just wanted to hear some opinions and recommendations.

I love Astro Bot and looking forward to play it, my niece is also very exited about the game.

@Ralizah

I think I have those games in my huge games archive (can't call it backlog anymore) I will try them. Thanks for the tip.

@Dodoo

If you have the power to declare things offical, can you bring Sony to remake SOCOM II, much appreciated. ^^

Re: Reaction: PS5 Livestreams Are No Longer Speaking to the Fans Who Built the Brand

NoHope

I can only wonder, what were people expecting from this SOP?

We knew there will be no big games from Sony til next year, plus the timeframe. 30 minutes, would be insane to show a PS5PRO. Summer Games Fest around the corner.

Show was ok, a tad long to introduce their Service game, but I bet they have high hopes for it.

Looking forward to the VR games, some others sparked my interest and then there was Astro. Good stuff.

More gameplay less CGI would be my preference.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Reveal Trailer Is Already the Most Disliked in Series History

@Uromastryx

Do not mistake me for people that dislike that a black Samurai is the main lead charakter or so. And is this even the reason for the dislikes? Why are so many offended by MY opinion, it is my first impression.

For example to this day I can not stand Tobey Maguire, did not like him the first time I saw him act and it never changed. I do not like Nathan Drake, to generic (optics only). Do not like Will Smith.

Am I a racist now? No, I just stated my first thoughts, likes and dislikes.
Maybe Ubisoft gives him a good story, makes him intertesting and I might change my mind. Nothing is set in stone.

Or lets go with another example certain smells, cinnamon. I can not stand the smell of it. Did I choose this, I did not. But I can also not tell you were this is coming from. Gut feeling maybe.

@TheArt

Yes, that's what I stated. Something wrong with that? You never have a first impression of something/someone, a first impulse? Feels just out of place and he looks so bulky. Might be because I just finished Ghost of Tsushima a few weeks ago and I realy like the main in that game.

It has nothing to do with the colour of his skin, if he would be purple, yellow, white whatever. This would still be my tirst impression, well if he was purple, it would be weird on top of all.

Besides that, I do not care for historical background.
