Absolutely, my verdict will most likely change, once I played through it completely. There are only small things bugging me right now. Major one is, that there is no challenge whatsoever right now, way to easy as of now. Anyone else got that feeling?

Something not related to my rating of the game, but has to do with AstroBot. It received an update today and since then, it crashed 2 times within the hour, before that not once.

Anyone here got the Welcome hub and if so, which region are you?

Sony should have tried a 49.99€ pricetag. I am in world 3, found everything on my own so far and it is a great game. Nowhere near the 95 on opencritic in my book, probably a 90.

I wish them good sales. Japan is hard to read, Switch still sells 70k units a week, that is crazy.

I always find some smaller games in those sales.

Man, it is amazing being a gamer in this day and age, always something to laugh about.

The criticism from my point of view is very understandable.

Let's start with presentation of the PS5PRO, they do it by "celebrating" how awesome the base PS5 is BUT there will be something better out there and how do we show this off, here goes:

They show lackluster comparison "pictures/videos" on YouTube, which is a joke in itself. No word about power consumption, noise level and so on. Given some peoples problems with the PS4PRO noise level is baffeling.

The Pro is addressed to enthusiasts and such, so I would assume that many of those people had a base PS5 (day one - so no detachable disc drive) and have also a huge library of games (digital and most likely also physical).

So of course Sony asks: why a version with disc drive and lets remove the vertical stand while we are at it.

I addressed the different pricing for US/UK/Europe already, so I will not repeat myself there.

Sony is acting like a bully right now, lets hope someone comes along and puts them down to ground level soon.

Sadly not, 699$, lets add 100$ we are generous (normaly around 10% taxes) and transfer that to € - we are around 725 €.

I do hope they show more videos with the improvements in some games, before the preorder starts. Fingers crossed.

First off, the intro for the PS5Pro was very meh, not what Cerny said, but the few "pictures or comparison videos they showed".

I was expecting a price of 649€ without disc drive in Europe, put the vertical stand in and a disc drive and we are talking, then 799€ is hard to swallow, but okish.

What I do not want to see anymore is how any company f's over their loyal "fanbase/customers" and takes advante of certain regions in the world with the pricing.

Further, I do not believe that let's say a GTA VI with RT will run 4k, 60FPS without any compromises on this new shiny box. But this is just me, the future will let us know.

Well true, however taxes go from around 10% all the way down to 2.x %. Do the math 800€ is still very steep.

So we get effd hard by Sony.

I wish for MS to get out of their slumber and put some pressure on Sony.

Also, nice to have 2TB, I already have a 4TB internal, this could have taken a bit pressure of the price as well, sad.

Just checked the price of a disc drive in germany 130 €, so in total 930€.

Nah, the controller is not the console. PS4 Pro came with terrible firmware and bad updates (no signal to TV, therefor no picture)
Several games performded weaker on the Pro than on the base PS4. Boost mode was somewhat broken.
I had a good PS4Pro, no loud sounds or anything, bought it way later tho.

Let's see what Sony can offer. I sure hope they remember the terrible launch of the PS4 Pro, there were plenty of problems.

Anyway, as my name suggests, I HOPE for the best, as always.

Does it really matter how we call this update/live service?

Release functioning games and add content if you like, for a fair compensation ofc.

We gamers (many, not all) are complainers and often very mean - me included, however I try to be better.

Concerning the extra Bots they added, nice freebee. The puzzles were a bit weak on the hints or my brain is rotten, you choose.

I understand your statement, however I have to disagree. It was quite logical that there will be no Spiderman nor a new God of War game that soon.

Sony not recognizing what they have in the pipeline or downplaying a game because of its genre or maybe because it has not yet made a name for itself is alarming.

This game comes close to the best ever reviewed Mario games, this is huge. No way around it. Sony should promote it, support it, push it

It was a 10 for me, but since it crashed 2 times in endless mode, I changed it to a 9.

This shows how disconnected Sony is from it's own developers and products. They claimed no big releases in 2024, oh boy, they dropped the ball yet again.

Congratulations to the developers, I hope this game sells like hot cakes.

I just watched the ACG review on YT and this game looks phenomenal, lots of things that remind me of the Mario games and lets be honest, there is not a better platformer out there to take notes from. Also the advantages or lets say unique features this game has over the Mario series are way better graphics and for Playstation gamers all the Bots that remind you of well known games.

I preordered on Amazon,since they sell the game for only 50€. My niece and I will have so much fun with this one.
Can NOT wait.

Hey Liam, I have a couple of questions. Why didn’t you mention the feature (after the first playthrough) in which you can jump to certain scenes where it let you see in how many other ways it can play out. I find this quite good.

Second question, did you play through the game a second time?

Watched a few minutes. His explanations are flawed in my opinion. Example I never cared for the numbers in a Mario game, also I deactivated damage numbers and sound in vampire survivors.

What I do fully understand is, that there are people out there that get nothing out of vampire survivors and I am ok with it.

We all have different tastes in some regards and that is totally valid. However, saying this game should be free is disrespectful to the developers. You don't like it as much as the next guy, good but free.... come on man.

Also, saying it is on par with Java games from 2000, really? Show me a game with that many unlockable and content for this amount of money, that also generates even half the amount of fun.

Easy 10/10 for me, case closed!

Everything came to a stop since Vampire Survivors. So simple, yet so addictive. Highly recommended.

There are a few games (BG3, probably GTA VI) that deserve to ask for more than 70 bugs. I very seldom buy games on release day anymore, FROM Software would be an exeption.

But not in digital form, at least for me thats a no go.

Ok, I just lost 5 hours in the game. Outstanding fun.
Very few games that are on this level, Guitar Hero and EDF come to mind. First time I started those games up, I thought THIS is what videogames should be about, pure fun.

No worries, I am old enough to have played Herzog 2 back in the day, but I must admit, it wasn't for me.

I would consider Herzog 2 the first RTS game ever released on an electronic device.

Dune II refined it by a mile.

I have the internal WD 4TB and external I have the 8 TB WD Black. Would love to have 8TB internal storage, but it is not the right price for me.

I do not need to see more of Astro and games that got covered already, however it’s clear why they show them to the masses.

As always I „hope“ for a new SOCOM game, preferably one close to SOCOM 2 regarding multiplayer and yes I know how ridiculous this sounds.

Other than that as little of the host of gamescom as possible, much appreciated.

After playing so many games at the same timelast weekend, I try and stick with just one game, which is Actraiser Renaissance. I am in the Northlands playing on hard. It’s a slow and fun game, a bit repetitive.
