Please make this happen and please let 4 be the end. Dudes vision is great and all but I will truly be dead before it ends if he wants to make so many more installments. I looooved 3. And it's NOT for everyone. But I'd you grew up on 1 and 2 and how mind boggling they were for their time it was easy to love 3.

The first Horizon released days before BotW and is Lifetime over 20 million. FW releases right around Elden Ring is no big deal imo. And actually Sony NOT shifting either release speaks volumes to the confidence they have in their teams. I for one went FW first and will get to Elden Ring down the road. I can't be alone in that.

Only if Sony bought SE would I have any faith in them touching that IP for a full remake or sequel

@Bleachedsmiles all in development well before gamepass became a thing though. I'd imagine part of that is pure coincidence. And Halo 5 wasn't missing Ppromised features after a year delay or after release like Infinite still is. Considering you named 3 games, 2 of which are from very well established franchises, I don't see the point really. Not being a d*** but they SHOULD be putting out some bangers and Halo x and Forza x shouldn't exactly be a surprise for quality (add Gears in and that's the Xbox tri fecta of quality reviewed first party titles for the last several years). Loved Flight Sim and Psychonauts 2 just fyi

They shouldn't. I genuinely believe that quality of content would greatly suffer if they did. They aren't an infinite war chest like Microsoft. I've yet to be disappointed in the overall product of a SWW studio since the start of ps3. Even the shuttered studios such as Evolution and Sony Japan (among others) made either a critically, commercially or niche fan favorite game.

Knack VR just seems right

Jean d'Arc was just as good as War of the Lions imo, Patapon and Crisis Core stand out as well. The GoWs are nice too. Especially chains of Olympus

The fact Herman said "we will never stop making single player games like TLoU, GoW, GoT and Horizon" makes me happy lol. Jade Raymond has held the highest office in games and tech and flat out said Sony just hits different. No company is perfect. But I see the amount of hate around GT7 (game also reviewed great every reviewer noted the crazy amount of content for the asking price) and get a little saddened. Sony is Nintendo quality with less baffling decisions regarding IPs and their dormancy. Her comments along with Herman's should give everyone some big picture perspective. They are a huge company who enjoys profit but also really loves games. Tl;Dr 😂

I never get the outrage unless it's a full msrp game with pay to win mechanics. If this game can be played in its entirety and you can be competitive then Just. Don't. Buy. And if you're a super into cars and they hid your fav behind an MT then I bet youre willing to pay. I don't like shady practices and am not here to condone them. But plenty must be purchasing the MTs because they haven't disappeared.

16 years of support...well minus the infamous outage. Started the indie boom as well on console. It also was supported well with classic titles from older generations. Especially ps1 imo.

Every once in a while a game just hits different. This is one of them. Gameplay loop, graphics, music, lore...everything is just spot on.

Horizon is amazing and has its hold on me for sure. Been a while since I've enjoyed a game this much

Shame it's in such a crummy launch state. I'm just not sure how sooo many publications gave this game perfect marks. Regardless of concept if the game isn't technically sound that needs to count for something. The entire industry seems to ride From pretty hard...don't get me wrong I loved demon souls OG and bloodborne a lot but reading about all the crashes, unstable framers, save fails etc just makes me wonder how this game reviewed so well. I think the concept of From and GRRM combined had the entire industry fanboying over this game. I guess once Horizon FW is in my rear view I will find out myself...or hopefully it's just been patched several times in the next several weeks and becomes a more stable game.

@Nf157 I have a rule of thumb for your situation. I will buy a game at full launch retail pricing to support devs that make something special that I know I will really enjoy. It probably happens 3 to 4 times a year. Most recent game I bought at launch but was backlogged was Kena. Doesn't work for every budget but I probably spend 150-200 a year on games I don't play immediately

@themightyant I think I read somewhere that performance mode on ps5 seems to alleviate the weird aura around Aloy. I could tell a big difference when jumping from resolution to performance

@OthmaneAD graphical fidelity doesn't have much to do with a well thought out and realized vision. Horizon and Sifu both have that and both released to great reviews and hopefully sales. They also both look amazing in entirely different ways. The fact Cyberpunk ran and looked like ass on multiple platforms is only part of the failure.

Shame they just didn't delay it. But Horizon: Forbidden West and Sifu are my games now. From quality devs that care about their fans

Will finally sit down to Sifu later today I think. Then just waiting on HFW. I've been in a bit of a funk lately unfortunately. I know when I don't wanna pick up the sticks my mental state is bad. Here's hoping I can get back on track

Not sure why they went after this game anyways. The first game was great but didn't sell to warrant a AAA sequel all these years later. I don't understand some of the poor decisions these massive game companies make. Where is a new Rayman Ubi? Seriously

I've read on other publications it's a mess. Corrupt saves and severe crashing. And then I've read some reviewers hardly mention it. The fact I can't play on my ps5 with friends on ps4 is a joke though. Was looking forward to this. Looks like it's getting the back burner for Sifu and Horizon

For Sony- SE, Capcom, FromSoftware and Konami make a lot of sense as they already make and have made games exclusively for Playstation platforms.

For MS- who knows...those pockets are deep and market valuation won't deter them from stroking a check.

I think this leaves D2 as a multiplat title... even the eventual D3 could stay that way. Factor in TV/movie potential AND Bungiev resurrecting an IP like Resistance exclusively and I think you have a winning formula. All conjecture at this point but that's what I would do if I were Sony

@nookie_egg great devs for sure but that's why they were so much cheaper. Sony didn't get the rights to any IPs with Insomniac. They still pay a license fee for every game they make. I'm not going to put a worth on Destiny but at a million +active players on a live service this far in and the best shooting mechanics around...I think this makes bank for Sony. And maybe they get Bungie to reboot Killzone or Resistance exclusively while keeping Destiny Multiplat
