@Medic_alert $45 is a steal for a set like this. Licenced sets, like Star Wars, are often more expensive than the standard $0.10 per piece. This set has 768 pieces. If they were priced like other sets, you're looking at $75 or $80 easily.
@PerpetualBoredom Considering the scale, it's the best you can do. They look great for this scale. Yes, you can do a 2000 piece set that's not minifig scaled and way bigger. I'm sure that would be more detailed, but that's not the point of this set. I'm kinda glad they're in scale with minifigs.
@IntrepidWombat The character first appeared in The Playroom on PS4, then it got a VR game: Astro Bot Rescue Mission, to this day one of the best rated PSVR games. So 3 or four games including the upcoming one.
Astro's Playroom is more than a tutorial how to use the PS5 though. Don't let the fact that it's free deter you. It's a full game that takes a couple of hours to fully complete.
@riceNpea Not really. ALL of them have stick controls, so there's no reason why they also can't offer it as an option. Stick controls are basically mandatory if you want some form of camera control. Other options like mouse instead of stick controls are not really possible on a console, so the console makers already have a mandatory way of control in a way since the devs are forced to use their controller. It's not going to hurt anyone by including it.
@MikeOrator The Tallneck in the game seems to be bigger than the LEGO one, by a bit. They completely redesigned it, so it wonder if they're going to release another one to match the one in game, but they're going to be expensive sets.
@OnlyGaming You already need an online connection to even install this game, which is incredibly stupid. So either way it's unplayable if they pull the plug.
@ChrisDeku Season passes are tricky. They already have the money, so they know how little they can spend on the DLC. There's no risk anymore, but also no reason to entice people to buy it whenever everyone already bought it.
@Balosi Yeah, I sometimes play a bit of survival for fun, but the point of building something big is completely pointless when you can't use it as a vantage point.
@sanderson72 Load times and draw distance are molasses on some consoles. I doubt it's going to improve, but the game doesn't run great for having such simple graphics.
@get2sammyb Imagine being a dev on one of the other 9 projects, knowing that five years of work will be cancelled or shut down in a year or so. I wonder what it does to overall productivity in the industry.
@LifeGirl The moment I saw this game had Fortnite-style base building I knew it wasn't going to be a good Dune game. But it has shooting and a big worm, so it's all fine, right? Right?
I really hope MM comes out swinging with a good new game soon. Dreams was cool, but ultimately didn't catch on with the larger public, and I think it was quickly forgotten about. Out of all the games that made their way to PC, Dreams should've been the first. Kinda baffling they didn't do this.
Their last ''game-game'' (so not counting Dreams) was 9 years ago with the release of the Tearaway remake on PS4, so it's been a while.
@Benjiro It doesn't say they're looking for a publisher, just that they are in talks about publishing, which I understood as releasing.
''We have genuinely started discussions regarding publishing and once this clears out, hopefully we'll be able to answer what everyone wants to know.''
It's just a cryptic quote, and I wouldn't read too much into it. What everyone wants to know can be a multitude of things; could be release date, could be platforms. Would a Sony backed game be PS5 exclusive, or did they find another publisher to go multiplat (they got some backlash when Sony announced it in their State of Play).
Keep in mind that the devs are based in SK, so translating issues could also be at play here.
Either way, they're still working on the game, which is good to see. I'll come out eventually for sure. And it looks like it's progressing well. Yeah, framerate looks a bit shoddy, but they also said they just wanted to release some footage to prove it's still alive, and with no release date, I can only assume it takes at least another year or so. Let's hope they can get it running a little better when it comes out.
The only thing I'm worried about is time consuming traversal in a unnecessary large world; a molasses slow tutorial; and long-ass unskippable dialogue.
Nothing about a JRPG set in a vast desert screams fast-paced.
@rjejr I still try to keep up with the news, so I'm on here from time to time, but life's busy so not on a daily basis. And I haven't played a proper game in months hah.
@AdamNovice Considering Astro Bot will be a lot cheaper to produce, it also doesn't have to sell millions to reach the same level of profit as a GOW or Uncharted.
The console will be four years old by the end of this year, so yes, it will probably be in the second half of its life cycle. The wording on this is always a bit tricky, because inevitably there will be people that read it as the PS5 ending next year.
For Okami I don't mind something more along the lines of a spiritual successor. Okami works great as a standalone (the DS game already proved that), so I'd rather see them try new stuff instead of trying to recreate the game as a sequel. Different characters, different story, different time period, different main character, etc. But gameplay and visuals in similar vein, with updates of course.
@TheGreyandTheRed LMAO, I don't know either, but a lot of people seem to hate it with a passion I've not seen before. I don't know why people are so bothered by it. It's a fictional character, yet they're all acting as if Neil Druckmann entered their home and killed of their entire family.
I think another Joel and Ellie story would've been boring, it would've been just more of the same. And for a character that died within the first chapter, there was an awful lot of Joel in the game still, so I don't understand why people are that mad.
I think Part 2 was one of the best games in a good while. Gameplay-wise it trumps every story-driven game that's out there. It's way better than 1 in that regard. And the amount of content that they managed to cram in a single game is bonkers, for a narrative-driven game at least. I took me like 40 hours to finish the whole thing, more than double the length of the first one, yet equally as thrilling.
@Kidfried I just love how they pump these 10 minute trailers out full of nonsense. You can watch it all and still have no idea what's going on. The story in 1 was also bonkers, and if 2 is as solid as 1 then I'm all over it!
Troy Joker fighting a baby samurai mech with an electric guitar. You can't make that up.
@naruball Ni No Kuni isn't like Pokemon at all though. It's a classic JRPG with some monster collecting as a side thing. You still play as yourself in battles, and the focus isn't all so much on the familiars. The level up system and battle dynamics doesn't come close to Pokemon which is a monster battling game at its core.
The battle gameplay is really good, even in Scarlet and Violet, it's just everything else that sucks. Other games have better stories and look way better, yes, but none come close to the intricate battle system Pokemon has developed. I'd like to see both, but that doesn't exist unfortunately.
@UltimateOtaku91 Exactly. Yes, it's straight up ripping off Pokemon for its designs (and not as in a nod to, no, it's straight up copying and combining existing Pokemon). But the gameplay is nothing like it. So when people say it's a good Pokemon contender they're completely missing the point.
I'd really love a true Pokemon competitor, because Pokemon has been garbage for quite a while now. The indie copies like Temtem don't come close I think, even though I don't think it's difficult to make a better Pokemon game. Yokai Watch had some potential, but they killed in outside of Japan before it had a chance to take off.
@ChrisDeku LMAO it's amazing that even after nearly four years, the game manages to draw trolls from out of the woodworks by merely mentioning this game. You don't see me going to comment sections of games I don't like so that I can comment for the umpteenth time that I'm really not a fan of said game. But somehow TLOU manages to do that. Even the haters love it so much they can't leave it alone.
@thefourfoldroot1 But in terms of PS5 games, the only new game this year was Spider-Man. And MLB, but that an annual game, and it doesn't even come to Europe, so I'm not counting it. Usually, they have 3-4 games a year.
@itsfoz It's been a quiet year for Sony, and next year looks empty as well. Such a shame what could've been better years with a few more titles if they hadn't made this sudden change. It just feels like a very expensive experiment gone wrong. Oh well, we will never know.
@Gabrielmpf Nobody said you have to feel sorry; that's not what this article is about. You don't have to condone hacking, and favour these giant coorporations, they're not mutually exclusive.
@Gabrielmpf That's quite a bad precedent. Let's say you steal a few thousands from the government; should you not face repercussions because a few thousands is nothing compared to a country's reserves?
@AverageGamer Because it's pointless, because everyone has their own opinion and it's never good enough to satisfy everyone. Like, a painter isn't going to showcase their work every few strokes so that you can give an opinion on the update. Or a cook isn't going to let you taste every step when making your food. It's just a stupid idea.
@ShogunRok Ciri and Geralt get captured, and are sent to the future. Ciri is locked away in an expensive phone and is forced to answer questions from peasants for eternity. Geralt is cast in season 4 of declining TV show, can he still save it? Meanwhile, you play as Roach, tasked to retrieve both of them from the future. Maybe you will make some mistakes and you can only bring back one. Who will it be?
The thing with these kind of "presents" is that it's a stupid present. It's like getting coupons, vouchers, or plain cash. It's just boring, no thought put into it. Might as well do a cash transaction.
@__jamiie I'm not angry at you. I'm just saying that if people buy it thinking it's a console, it's really their fault. It's not like box doesn't tell you what it is and what you need to use it.

Re: Ghost of Yotei Is the Ghost of Tsushima Sequel We Needed, Slashing to PS5 in 2025
Let's see. The first one was good, but there was definitely repetitive content. I'd argue the game was too big even.
And usually sequels suffer this fate. Horizon Forbidden West suffered from the sequel bloat as well. I hope they don't go for bigger with this sequel.
