Re: Poll: Would You Be Interested in a Detachable PS5 Disc Drive?

Pusher2021

If I had a Digital PS5 definitely (if it works on every PS5 + to save money) but maybe it could be a cheaper solution when your drive stops working properly after many years and repair costs are higher?

  • I would never buy a new PS5 Pro console but I would buy some sort of upgrade add-on if that was possible & pricing was affordable.

Re: Naughty Dog Can't Wait to Show New PS5 Projects

Pusher2021

This is my overall fave dev and, as a consumer, I haven't been disappointed for a long time now (except in Sony's pricing the remake). They are very good in what they do so I can only expect polish and overall quality! Very curious on the creative approach!

Re: Questions Over Free PSVR2 Upgrades Raised by Moss, Moss: Book II

Pusher2021

It's a nich market & I kinda knew they would re-release a lot of those first generation games . Only a few, maybe, give a free updated version of the first one, and sell the sequel? (if the last one is a new title). Sony seems to believe in it so they most think more people are up for it? Big gamble! Half-Life: Alyx can make or brake this thing imo!

Re: PS5 Games Likely to Remain $70 as Xbox Bumps Prices

Pusher2021

@Uncharted2007 I found GOWR for €60 new physical but seeing a digital €80 price on PSN makes it more easier to let games go and wait for a price drop. And GOWR is a polished title! I bought Grid Legends SE full price but the DLC is/was questionable & in hindsight I should have waited, lesson learned!

It's all personal if a game is worth it. Even if it costs more to make, the market has grown a lot too ...

And as if Sony was going to lower their game prices ... Xbox bumping prices feels more justified for Sony? I really think they don't care about their consumers.

Re: Need for Speed Unbound (PS5) - This Stylish Arcade Racer Has Substance to Match

Pusher2021

I want to see the Burnout franchise return but didn't like Paradise too much. Crash model was great but I missed something.
The NFS series is not for me and I tried. I didn't like the car handeling at all. I get it is arcade but looking at other games in the race genre:

FH franchise
FM franchise
Wreckfest
Circuit Superstars
Dirt franchise
Project Cars franchise
Gran Turismo franchise
Grid franchise
HW Unleashed
WRC franchise
Art of Rally
Hotshot Racing
Real Racing 3
Crash Team Racing
F1 franchise
Horizon Chase Turbo
Rally Rush
Ridge Racer
Mario Kart
Test Drive Unlimited (older ones not so much)
+
older games like PGR, Burnout (1-3), Split Second, Daytona USA, Sega Rally, ...

After a few hours I could find a certain groove on those presented in the list. I did like the overall presentation but Unbound is not my cup ot tea, sadly. Maybe because besides the art style they didn't change a lot and played it safe. NFS franchise is my least fave race game series. I did really play NFS Underground 2 to bits but I wonder if that is nostalgia talking?
Seen a lot of people enjoying it though so sales must be good on this one?

Re: The Callisto Protocol (PS5) - Just Like Dead Space, for Better and Worse

Pusher2021

Saw this coming but the game is not entirely bad, I blame the hype. The dev clearly has potential by trying some own creativity/ideas. The next one will be better as lessons will be learned. The facial animations/gore look amazing! I like the genre & Dead Space & will play this when it's a bit cheaper. They need to stop the "squeezing" feature in games though!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 454

Pusher2021

Taking my time with GOW R & restart Stray + Rollerball (PS).
If there’s enough time I’ll begin with (Edit: on Game Pass) RTMI if completed A Plaque Tale R. & Somerville. This week it was FH5 & Grid Legends mostly. Started playing Gun Grave (Edit: via GP) & even though it’s dumb fun, there are better games in that area but I like the variety in playing games. Some games are better than others but as long it’s not too bad I want the experience. Haven’t touched my NS for awhile now (did a couple of short sessions but they don’t really count imo).
There’s the WC so … + almost went for a buy because of it If it had the 2010 SA FIFA atmosphere I would’ve caved for sure

Re: Sony Accidentally Sends God of War Ragnarok PS5 Bundle to Customer

Pusher2021

@GamingFan4Lyf I get that! (& feel his frustration). So far I managed to do so but on Twitter you never know.
Was reading an Asobo Studio’s - MS Flight Simulator article and someone mentioned A plaque’s Tale Requiem and before I knew, two tweets later they spoiled the whole story. I’m just past chapter 2 😢 (what happened or didn’t happen to the main characters in like 2 sentences)

Re: How Does the $1,500 Meta Quest Pro Compare to PSVR2?

Pusher2021

Release the PSVR2 at a price that people who never thought about buying one just decide to go with the flow & try it. What would the price tag be? PSVR had + 5M sales & Sony thinks to sell 2M at launch. I truly wonder what their plan about PSVR2 is. Since they made a successor they surely must have a plan and not just copy the PSVR1 road plan?

Re: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for October 2022 Announced

Pusher2021

Good games, already in the collection 🙂

Edit: HW:U has a good base game but they ruined it with the amounts of payed DLC imo. The game is now available for under €15 now but every DLC pack will set you back double that. Nowadays a lot of DLC gives me questions, is it part of the game (like in the old days) or are they a bit greedy at times?

Re: PSVR2 Not Looking Cheap as Impressive Features Debut in Hype-Inducing Ad

Pusher2021

The generational leap is bigger than people think. That’s what I wanted the PS5 to do, PS5 games only from the start. Difference with VR is that the PS4 was/is a bigger succes than PSVR1 and Sony couldn’t afford to just let that generation go. They probably discussed the BC thing but chose for innovation.
I also think the PS5 price hike is partly because of the PSVR2. VR is still a niche product but it needs profit to stay alive and have the ability to keep making games for it. Imo they can not afford to sell this for + €500, but hey, since some people are willing to pay the Steam VR price … I like to try it out but not going to give them more than what I payed for my PS5, that’s for sure. + it needs awesome games and those are not for free either. Amazing tech for an amazing price? Very curious how Sony will handle this one …

Re: PSVR2 Hands-On Previews Praise Hardware and Games in Glowing Write-Ups

Pusher2021

Wow, I was hoping the highest possible price would be like €400 and before the shortage of chips I thought it was going to be €300. People really thinking it will be around the Steam VR? I mean making games for a select few? I wanted to buy one this time but not going to pay more than what I paid for my PS5!
Curious how much profit they made with first one …

Re: Assassin's Creed Finally Goes to Japan as Ubisoft Takes on Ghost of Tsushima

Pusher2021

@JohntheRaptor I think you're missing the point here imo. Gameplay elements always age in time & it has nothing to do with replaying the first AC. When the AC games started they had something magical. I don't feel that anymore, it's more of the same, a lot of clutter/filler imo. I do agree, gameplay wise it has been improved but most Ubisoft games feel the same, too familiar to be special on their own. I used to love Ubisoft but they just use the same sauce for decades. Some people like to play AC 245 ... I'm not one of them (nothing against people who like them either). I liked the viking setting at first (loved the TV series) but I got tired of it after a while. The settings always attract me but after 10 hours in ...
And I can not put my finger on it why I liked GOT so much better (besides atmosphere/music).
Maybe the AC series became too much of having a RPG feel for me?

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Make of Microsoft and Sony's Call of Duty Quarrel?

Pusher2021

Multi console player so if -at the end- I can benefit from it, all good. I get they are corporations but MS is actually trying to be consumer friendly when trying to make profit (for now). Sony PS is keeping games from Xbox for years & most people don't even flinch about it. That said, I honestly think this deal will be good for competition (meaning -> Sony PS will hopefully be more consumer friendly because of it!). If Sony wants to pay enough money to keep COD for more years on PS, MS would just agree imo (if that's the best strategy). Sony will lose a lot of profit + market share but it needs to react as a big boy & go with the flow, accept it & surprise us consumers with new ideas/think out of the box. They are the biggest market leader for many years now & nobody seems to mind their buying spree with that position while MS is getting heat for trying to compete? MS has to spend more money than PS for the same thing, just because PS is the biggest gaming platform.
I played good FPS on PS so Sony doesn't really have a problem on that departement (just no more easy COD money for them after this deal). Stop focussing on 3rd person games alone ...
