Imo you need good unknown actor’s like when The Wire series started. If they would make a GTA adaptation it must be very raw made story with crazy plots
@GamingFan4Lyf I get that! (& feel his frustration). So far I managed to do so but on Twitter you never know. Was reading an Asobo Studio’s - MS Flight Simulator article and someone mentioned A plaque’s Tale Requiem and before I knew, two tweets later they spoiled the whole story. I’m just past chapter 2 😢 (what happened or didn’t happen to the main characters in like 2 sentences)
Release the PSVR2 at a price that people who never thought about buying one just decide to go with the flow & try it. What would the price tag be? PSVR had + 5M sales & Sony thinks to sell 2M at launch. I truly wonder what their plan about PSVR2 is. Since they made a successor they surely must have a plan and not just copy the PSVR1 road plan?
Lol @ MS is throwing money on things vs PS is nurturing things. Top euphemism 😄 Probably MS offering their gamers a FOC upgrade instead of letting them pay for it. They are not keeping the game off the other platforms. Xbox players still waiting for that FF remake. Even the PC release was almost 1 year ago. Weird there isn’t even a release window yet either.
Big letdown! Next gen needs to be 60 fps (unless it isn’t a fast paced/action game then maybe 30 fps … maybe). If the game is good, PC players will be happy
Edit: HW:U has a good base game but they ruined it with the amounts of payed DLC imo. The game is now available for under €15 now but every DLC pack will set you back double that. Nowadays a lot of DLC gives me questions, is it part of the game (like in the old days) or are they a bit greedy at times?
Not a fan of this version. XSX & PS5 are the first consoles standing tall, behind the LGCX 65 TV, only showing the drives. XSX has a drive on the left & the PS5 has one on the left. Perfect
The generational leap is bigger than people think. That’s what I wanted the PS5 to do, PS5 games only from the start. Difference with VR is that the PS4 was/is a bigger succes than PSVR1 and Sony couldn’t afford to just let that generation go. They probably discussed the BC thing but chose for innovation. I also think the PS5 price hike is partly because of the PSVR2. VR is still a niche product but it needs profit to stay alive and have the ability to keep making games for it. Imo they can not afford to sell this for + €500, but hey, since some people are willing to pay the Steam VR price … I like to try it out but not going to give them more than what I payed for my PS5, that’s for sure. + it needs awesome games and those are not for free either. Amazing tech for an amazing price? Very curious how Sony will handle this one …
Don’t pre-order much games anymore but GOW R is one of them. Always loved the Tekken series but when they started the whole DLC route I stopped buying them. I waited to buy T7 + DLC only when they released the complete edition on 50% (sadly no next-gen upgrade available)
Wow, I was hoping the highest possible price would be like €400 and before the shortage of chips I thought it was going to be €300. People really thinking it will be around the Steam VR? I mean making games for a select few? I wanted to buy one this time but not going to pay more than what I paid for my PS5! Curious how much profit they made with first one …
@JohntheRaptor I think you're missing the point here imo. Gameplay elements always age in time & it has nothing to do with replaying the first AC. When the AC games started they had something magical. I don't feel that anymore, it's more of the same, a lot of clutter/filler imo. I do agree, gameplay wise it has been improved but most Ubisoft games feel the same, too familiar to be special on their own. I used to love Ubisoft but they just use the same sauce for decades. Some people like to play AC 245 ... I'm not one of them (nothing against people who like them either). I liked the viking setting at first (loved the TV series) but I got tired of it after a while. The settings always attract me but after 10 hours in ...
And I can not put my finger on it why I liked GOT so much better (besides atmosphere/music).
Maybe the AC series became too much of having a RPG feel for me?
Multi console player so if -at the end- I can benefit from it, all good. I get they are corporations but MS is actually trying to be consumer friendly when trying to make profit (for now). Sony PS is keeping games from Xbox for years & most people don't even flinch about it. That said, I honestly think this deal will be good for competition (meaning -> Sony PS will hopefully be more consumer friendly because of it!). If Sony wants to pay enough money to keep COD for more years on PS, MS would just agree imo (if that's the best strategy). Sony will lose a lot of profit + market share but it needs to react as a big boy & go with the flow, accept it & surprise us consumers with new ideas/think out of the box. They are the biggest market leader for many years now & nobody seems to mind their buying spree with that position while MS is getting heat for trying to compete? MS has to spend more money than PS for the same thing, just because PS is the biggest gaming platform. I played good FPS on PS so Sony doesn't really have a problem on that departement (just no more easy COD money for them after this deal). Stop focussing on 3rd person games alone ...
A full priced TLOUP1 (with no MP) + price hike PS5 but Sony wants a "free" deal from a nearly 70 billion dollar MS investement? Totally logical ... Surely they can't believe to get the same profits from COD, right?
Tbh, in the beginning I was under the impression they would remake it and have all the TLOUP2 gameplay mechanics copied & implemented to Part 1 and give oldtimers a new gaming experience although already knowing the story (but with a few surprises along the way, like, something I was not expecting). Oh well ...
@TommyNL probably not the same people. Big ND fan myself & bought almost every ND game (since PSX) on launch but they are losing the "customers" plot (Sony included). I already owe the PS3/PS4 version & could get the base game for around €60 but it felt wrong (no more FOMO)
Not really surprising when seeing what people are willing to pay to scalpers smh. Sony gets away with a lot (they need more sponsors for their acquisitions). I love gaming but €80 for a game took the fun away (+ €10 upgrades) with PS. I used to buy a lot of €60 games but with their price hike it felt like they like to offend me as a customer. Even PS/PC games (Rollerdrome) can have a difference of €10. With crazy prices, like energy, people will be attracted to Game Pass even more. Was excited for the PSVR2 but that will probably have a crazy price too.
As an owner of the Akira Kurosawa collection I played this game with the JAP voices & it was a great experience! ENG wasn't badly done but preferred the JAP voices, it gives just something extra when playing the game. Movies is are the same way for me. Give people options ... but I'm a fan of the OG idea!
I used to be so excited for new sports games many decades ago. Like putting wind factors, weather implementation, futsal, ... instead they started to implement MTX ... and more MTX For me, it took the desire out of those games & learn the mechanics but nowadays I seldom play them. A shame really because they look cool & without the MTX (or other f*ckery), a lot of fun
Rockstar can make great sandbox games but I hope they learned a lot on how to put the perfect control scheme on it because I hope that GTAV had an overhaul buying i for the third time but the joke ws on me ;-(
To steep for me because owning 2 versions already but even though the game is worth it when never played before, not tweaking gameplay elements in a remake is not a good sign, if true oc. That said, a poll Spawn Wave made said only like 25% wanted to see gameplay tweaks & the rest was fine with just a visual upgrade.
Definitely a cash grab (for me) when the same game is made several times over & asking for a full AAA price tag. If you never experienced the game before maybe it's not. Bought the OG + remastered version (and a big ND fan) but the €80 is to steep for me
RE2 remake is better than RE3 remake but still very good imo. RE4 is still my fave RE so really looking forward what the Remake will look/play like. This PS5 upgrade is a win & it's FREE too (other genre, but the Wreckfest payable PS5 upgrade was a huge disappointment, especially concerning DS implementation).
They should include some tech stuff, like what gameplay mechanics we can expect in UE5 (like COD balance physics - reminded me of Uncharted). Devs should experiment more!
Oops, guess I’m the only one who thought TLOU Part 1 looked impressive, like TLOU Part 2 (including gameplay mechanics). I get that it’s the 3rd time this game launches & a full price will not persuade me to buy it again but I love to revisit it someday. The reason they did this is because they know it will sell like crazy when the TV show launches (first footage I saw was quite authentic to the game). I’m dying to know what ND new project is about!
@JamieO Took the recommend & went for it. Used to love this genre but didn't pay attention the last couple of years. Loved playing the older Raiden, Gradius, Ikaruga, Xevious, ... Last one I bought was Raiden V on NS, so I'm taking a chance because I like the inclusion of the OG Cotton (Cotton Reboot = €20 for me)
Have this on PS3 but don’t think of rebuying it. Also own Geometry Wars, Super stardust games + Resogun. Games to play between other games, like in short sessions. Not a fan of the Recharged collection, though.
Unsubscribed last year but not going to re sub. There is no value for me personally. Still have my OG PS3 (old games comp) hooked on the TV. GP will do it for us in matters of value tbh.
Don’t mind last gen games but as an PS5/XSX owner I would like to see some next-gen only gameplay mechanics. Experiences that feel new, even experimental so we can see some evolution in the gaming industry imo.
Played a lot of Tennis games since SNES (also play OG Pong) and Virtua Tennis & Top Spin are the best ones imo. Also liked Mario Tennis. Deepest are still the Top Spin series. This one is on the level (more or less - played demo) of AO Tennis.
Love the Virtua Tennis games (very arcade) but Top Spin is a lot more deeper. The first game rocked on the kinda new Xbox Live. Played this demo on Steam which is not bad but not spectacular either (graphics & gameplay).
But it would be lit if they brought a tennis game with all the legends, male & female! Still play VT on the PSP
@Apfelschteiner S series has RDNA2 features. I see a lot of parents with younger kids buying this console + game pass (best value). If you don’t have a 4K TV, you’re good. You don’t have to pay €80 for a new game either. I, myself, stick with the series X, PS5 & Switch (far away from next-gen but selling like cookies).
