@MrMagic Those were examples I found after seeing John Linneman tweeting about it. And people who had the physical disc, which wouldn't install their game, even after clearing their cache, seem still a problem though (hanging on 36% during install).
@themightyant I always expect bugs to happen nowadays. The cars' thing was kind of funny, but you know this will get fixed ASAP. I'm interested, though, what causes this to happen (and why people have them and others don't). Insomniac Spider-man games always had minor bugs, so I'm surprised there are so many to see. I hope the day I install my game, most of them are gone.
Either way, I'm still looking forward to play it, now I finished SMM NewGame+
That's what I was alluding to . Haven't seen this in other games like I experienced it with TLOU games. ND are my fave devs, but I really thought we would be going to see this in more future games. It's like, "Who is there?", but on a much deeper level. They are very good in mixing/weaving elements like gameplay/story/AI tech and all that attention for detail into something special imo. The interaction with enemies felt so real sometimes.
I really hope we don't have to wait long to be able to play their next project!
If you can stick it out +25 years in a company & even get to lead the PS division, you're doing something good. At the same time, you got to applaud the customers too. Price hikes in games & consoles, fans, are still there. Releasing expensive hardware like the PSVR2 is maybe a bit less what they expected but in the current climate, still remarkable. Portal also seems going to be a success, even with Sony choosing their proprietary PS Link wireless standard. I used to buy every piece of hardware they were releasing, but life threw a few challenges at me, so that has changed a bit. As a brand, PlayStation seems almost too big to fail, and I always look forward to some new exciting SP experience they bring us. The only "bad" thing that could happen to PlayStation, is losing some market share. Same thing actually applies for the Apple brand, and their investments towards gaming.
I do wonder if someone we already know is going to replace Jim Ryan? Like him or not, big shoes to fill for sure!
@Sakai There was even an email from CFO Tim Stuart who said "It bothers me that F76 is on PSNOW without getting much for it" (after the acquisition, when it was about the whole portfolio -> or title by title)
@mrbone I got a good deal on Amazon (via app) below €60 physical. There will be a digital add-on, so I cancelled my digital DE copy. The price of the DE seems more reasonable than the base one (€80 = crazy).
Looking forward to the game but I hope we get to see some new IP's after this. Maybe some snippets from stuff that are in development. Three Insomniac Spidey games is enough for the time being (for me).
I will play this eventually. My wallet is hurting right now. ACG & Skill Up are my main review "so-called influencers" before making my own mind. Score doesn't really matter. I didn't have high hopes for this one, but I almost know I will enjoy a playthrough. I also think this game will go down in price very fast.
A younger me would've def bought it, but my PS5 is partly hidden behind my TV. Surprised these faceplates aren't more of a thing worldwide (also in terms of availability). Consumers (+ manufacturers) could've benefitted from this but Sony said no!
To me personally, FH series gameplay, is the best in the business (I like the GRID/DIRT series too). If the handling is more like FH, I will def take this up. FH needs some competition! TDU's handling still seems off & is more of a lifestyle kinda race game. I didn't like NFS Unbound either, just because of the handling (a pity consoles don't have the mods like on the PC side concerning this game).
The Crew Motorfest looks really promising (seeing gameplay & previews like this) vs The Crew 2 (super cheap now). I do hope the boats & planes getting a huge gameplay upgrade.
I bought it physical myself and considering there is no PS4 game, this is not a bad release if 10% of PS5 owners bought FF16.
The fetch quests are horrible imo but the action displayed on screen is wild. Sometimes the game looks awesome but in other area's it looks a lot less. Not the best game for me personal but it is a FF made for almost everybody.
I'm pro physical (cheaper too) but it will disappear because the full game isn't even on the disc any more + the internet is always needed because of patches etc. I get that part. A game not been playable any more when you are offline/internet or servers are down, is a bit of a concern tbh. I hope there will be a final download to use a game offline when the game is like, too old.
@Titntin got all Motorstorm games and wished they would make a new one or a compilation of the previous games with PS5 and QOL features and some fine-tuning = an instant buy!
I was playing on my PS3 today and it's still full of video's dl from several outlets, E3, ... (what a great feature that was) and found the PS Gamescom 2013 showcase. It's there where they announced the Gran Turismo movie was going to be made. It took them 10 years so not so easy as I thought it was.
Phantom Blade, new game from Giant Squid, Spider-Man 2 (no release date and felt a bit more of the same like GOWR but that’s ok) and some indies have my interest. Although I always lower my expectations, this was not very good overall. Missed Naughty Dog & SuckerPunch tbh …
MGS with a Bond theme 😄? Foamstars, a Splatoon clone from SE? And stop showing PC footage in a PS5 show.
At least good for my wallet and still enough games to play …
@Kidfried Besides 11-11 Memory Retold, Season A Letter to the Future, there is Valiant Hearts The Great War (bought it on PS4 but it’s available in PS Premium) & the sequel is playable if you have Netflix. Also looking forward to Planet of Lana.
Tbh, I thought it was further away and wouldn’t make it in 2023 so it’s a nice surprise it gets a release this year. In hindsight, the game not being on my radar on a more constant basis is a good thing. We know the built quality is going to be stellar and that’s what counts imo.
Game looks awesome, the waves I saw were gorgeous but as a game it never clicked with me for some reason. But for the fans: may you enjoy your Aloy gaming days 😉
I'm in doubt of actually buying a new FF game. And FF7 on the PSX was my fave one but it didn't grow with me (don't like the time based mechanics anymore), even on the remake I had doubts but I liked the idea a whole lot. Actually when the director said it will be more like GOW, that took my interes to a new level, maybe the buying level one
Expected this since it’s 3x bigger than Fallen Order. Previews look very promising too. Loved the first one (except maybe the map?). It’s not open world but has open world gameplay if that makes sense. Looking forward to the more dynamic Jedi combat!
@LordBakemono Depends on who you ask and I totally understand when someone have played the game all over & over again. I usually don't mind when the game is kind of old and new gameplay elements can be added to stand the test of time (+good memories & nostalgia). And a lot of players can enjoy a game they never enjoyed before. GTA5 & TLOUP1 Remake is not needed imo but I'm just one gamer. And that last one I do want to replay it again, just not at that price point (bought it twice already). I have friends who never play a game twice. If it's done, it's done, not even 20 years later. They want to see new creative things in gaming. To a point I do agree with them because I would like to see some new game mechanics we never seen before or weren't possible before. Others can complete a game 4 times in row. It's not always complaining, people have preferences.
RE4 is the best RE for me personally (one of the best NGC titles) so I didn't mind a remake of this game. Normally I'd rather like to see new IP's but in the RE case I wouldn't mind a Dino Crisis of Code Veronica. I would like to know how much work/costs the RE remakes are in compairison to a new RE. I mean they have the experience with 2 & 3 so they most getting better at it! Or do they have a special Capcom team for these remakes?
I understand cross-gen the first year (if already in development) because of money related reasons (sales) but as a gamer I want it ASAP. Now we see PS4 games with PS5 features instead of a full blown PS5 game not even possible on a PS4. It's not even fair to PS4 owners having a lesser game because of it. If a dev releases a game on PS4, a PS4 owner has the right to expect a good quality game even if the gen is old.
@Loamy I don't disagree . "Big tech" companies became too big and there is no rewind button + in the game industry Sony's acting like one of them imo. In the gaming space MS is small compared to others and they need to compete (they don't stand any chance in Japan imo). ABK doesn't make them suddenly the number one in the industry. They still need to prove themselves in a way Sony already did, like in SP experiences.
Buying ABK doesn't mean succes instantly, so I'm very curious what will happen long term. There will be exclusives but a lot of them will stay multiplat, I'm sure.
Maybe I'm naive but MS as Xbox is doing something different. Gamers can be very loud if they aren't happy (the always online thing in Redfall).
The landscape will change, no doubt but I'm more curious of what Embracer Group and Tencent are doing between now and 5-10 years. Will there be another competitor on the market?
Will Apple make another console?
Google tried and failed but what if they had 3 new succesful IP's like a Halo, GOW, ... etc.?
What is next after ABK for MS but also for Sony who has to adapt?
Spending a lot of money is one thing, being succesful another.
Nintendo is also coming with something new (maybe it will feel like just an upgrade maybe they add something unexpected?)
Because at the end of the day, games are lucrative, hence making movies, series, ... about those games. Interesting times!
@Loamy Monopoly? As long asThe Embracer Group & Tencent are around (to name a few) no way that is going to happen imo.
I hope this deal will be good for gamers entirely. PS4 was the best generation with no real competition (Ninty doing its own thing). Sony was acting like Apple with making everything more expensive. They are businesses who want to make money, we all get that, but, do something that benefits gamers too. Playstation will stay at his number one position but it needs to be more creative than before. Maybe now these studio's can stop focussing on COD alone and make some new IP's. I'd rather have this than MS overbidding Sony everytime they are trying to moneyhat a 3rd party. Sony needs to invest that money into devs or new IP's. I remember how gamers reacted when MS tried to double the price of the service. The fact they didn't go through with it says a lot imo. They all need to co-exist!
Capcom is really killing it with these remakes. Can't wait since RE4 was always my favorite (former OG GameCube exclusive)! Didn't expect the 10 though.
A remake I will enjoy (loved the short demo) . One of my fave GameCube titles (& RE1). Revelations on 3DS, the rest are PS titles & only 1 Xbox (360) title, RE5. A franchise I like a lot! I hope Code Veronica or Dino Crisis is next on the list for Capcom! About spoilers: there are always people who never played the game so … Personally, I think it’s almost been 15 years since I replayed the game myself and we’ll worth to revisit!
Not worried, there are a lot of games in development. I wouldn’t mind some updates on how those are going. Maybe some returning IP’s! And PSVR2 ofc. I really want to hear about some stuff regarding ND & SP. After ABK is done, they can concentrate back on themselves, like Ninty always does!
