I don't really care how the main character looks like, I'd rather care about her personality. I just hope she's not going to be another annoyingly "cool" character like heroine in Forspoken.. Game looks very promising so far.
Normally I always buy physical , however I just decided to buy FF16 digitally as i had a top up card of 70 pounds... Well I'll never make this mistake again as the game is just not for me couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried. So it'll sit in my library forever without touching it . I'm afraid digital only future is inevitable because that's what publishers want, but I hope I we can enjoy physical releases still for a couple of years
Well...I'm not totally sold to be honest. This is my first Final Fantasy game ever and I expected something very convincing. The combat is my biggest concern as I found it too easy and boring. A flashy numbers and effects are quiet distracting but I'm sure there'll be an option to turn it off. Graphics...well not too great in my opinion. Everything looked a bit blunt overall. The story looks interesting enough to keep my eyes on this. Overall it was an okay experience for me, keeping in mind I'm not a Final Fantasy fan. I can imagine fans are really enjoyed it
Here I am I've never played any of these games. I might give a go to Final Fantasy 16 as it looks more appealing to me than any other FF games. It looks a bit like a western rpg and I'm ok with that.
@Dloki And another one here. Was one of my most anticipated game this year , still is, but no chance to buy it full price on digital. Will be waiting for the physical release if there'll be. I love physicals
@KaijuKaiser No, sorry, I mean not in numbers but time. I fear half an hour from the 1 hour show would be Spiderman and maybe Wolverine. But it's ok, I know many gamers are looking forwards to those. I hope it will be a great show for everyone!
@jrt87 Thank you very much for the detailed review. It helped me to make the decision buying the game. I was a bit worried about the parry mechanism, I was feared it's something like it was in Sekiro. I relieved it is more forgiving. I completed all the Nioh and all the Fromsoft games several times and I really love them. But Sekiro was a different beast...it's like a rhythm game which requires perfect parry which I failed on many times. Anyway, long story short, I'm going to start it today. How you're getting on with it?
@Sakai just curious, is it harder then the NiOh games? I really enjoyed those , they were challenging indeed but you didn't have to parry all the time to succeed. I'm just afraid this game is all about perfect parry
this game was a positive surprise for me really. I really liked the atmosphere and gameplay. Game looks absolutely good and I think combat is fine if you get use to it. At least I enjoyed it. I played it through 3 times already on normal and easy. I'm doing the hard mode at the moment which is very tough Also I recommend to play it with 3d pulse headset or other good quality headset, it's amazing!
@Lord_Beerus_87 yeah i played both standard and medium security. Normal enemies are fine on maximum security but I have hard times with the four legged monsters. I mostly use gun against them though but they're too quick and there are many of them on your way to the hangar. I always die there. I keep trying though
I'm happy with this remake. A lot of people haven't played this game yet including myself. And I don't want to play it on PS2 or even the "remaster" on PS4 which doesn't look much better then the PS2 version... Personally I am very excited to play this.
I think it looks great. I'll definitely give it a go. Though the first thing I'm going to do is to set the dialogue volume to zero and turn subtitles on.
If this game is anywhere near as good as Mortal Shell then it's more than enough for me. The mixed reviews prove one thing. Never trust a review blindly. Even if it's a pushsquare one
Amazing.. all collector's edition sold out... Why GAME always has exclusivity on these things in the UK?!? They 're just feeding the scalpers all the time
@Kairu Ok thanks it's probably better to level up a bit before that fight...what was your character and weapon level when you faced him? I'm level 35 now with +5 weapon level.
Anyone who fought both Margit and Godrick, which boss is the harder? I bested Margit but boy, that was hard! I read forums and they say Margit is the more challenging. What is your experience ?
Very helpful guide Liam! I'm currently fighting myself through the mini-bosses you listed above. However find one tough guy(s) which is not on your list and it called Semi Demi Chief (actually there are two of them) boss in coastal cave in Limgrave. Was a tough fight indeed!
The game is just amazing! Graphics too! I have around 10 hours and just wondering around admiring the world. I haven't noticed any technical issues so far on PS5. I'm playing in resolution mode with disabled motion blur ( absolutely pointless in any game in my opinion) and the gameplay is absolutely fluid. I came from Dying Light 2 which is a great game and I enjoyed it but Horizon is a totally different league. Worth every penny in my opinion
How do you guys get it 1 day earlier?!? I'm sooo jealous! I ordered the collectors from Game and the Special ed. from Amazon but they're both shipping tomorrow.
@OM1993 seems it's going to be the same story as it was with Days Gone few years back. Many reviewers judged too early after a few hours gameplay and clearly not after completion.
Well I'm in and hoping the best
@RevGaming Fair point. I'm more excited for those two as well but I give this one a go before they come out. I just don't like the trend people judges too easily after reading some reviews. I've learnt the lesson with Days Gone: don't trust the reviewers blindly , try yourself and if you don't like it you can still sell it with minimal loss (if you buy physical of course). Time is a valid point for sure
Sounds absolutely fine to me. Also I don't understand why people consider a 7 or 75 percent as a bad game and skip it?!? Also these are just reviews from random people like you guys(players). For me the reviews seem solid enough to try it. If you're interested, don't skip it because it doesn't have 8 or 9...
i was wondering if Activison has the Sekiro ip which I think they do as I'm currently playing the game and there's a huge Activision banner on the screen.. So who has the Sekiro guys? Fromsofter or Activision(Microsoft)?
Gamepass and game streaming is the death of the gaming industry unfortunately. This step is just another nail in the coffin. Exactly the same like netflix's doing in movie industry. You'll get quantity over quality. Not good at all. My only hopes with Sony and Nintendo. Probably we'll have a few good years left
I think it's time to replay Days Gone again. I was thinking what to play this weekend... now decision made thanks for the articles Pushsquare:)
And for those who defend Sony tirelessly in this case: I really love Playstation in every aspect but no doubt that Sony is exactly the same cold hearted business machine like any other big company. Nothing matters only numbers and sales.
If Bend studio would have been an independent developer then Days Gone would be definitely a clear success with millions of copies sold and I'm sure there would be a sequel by now. But because it's a Sony IP that's simply not enough for being considered as success.
This game is a special one from the start. Received mostly bad reviews from press however It was very well received and rated highly by gamers from the beginning. I don't know why is the big difference but I remember that was the moment when I decided not to trust reviewers blindly. For me Days Gone will always be special as it was the first game I platinumed out. I definitely think it would deserve a sequel.
