Back again to one of the best franchises ever - Horizon Forbidden West. Just as games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne missed awards for releasing in tough years, Sekiro and Elden Ring got all the awards in their stead. One day Horizon or Guerilla will get its awards due. Btw made it to Isshin for the 2nd time in Sekiro, hmph...what a guy.

Re: All The Game Awards 2024 Winners

People were ridiculous thinking Erdtree will win GOTY. I was thinking it would win some other categories but I see the backlash was so much they were scared to give it anything. Nice to see Metaphor winning some though.

Re: Ex-PlayStation Boss Thinks the Days of Consoles Are Numbered

Wow people didn't read the article or are misunderstanding him, he's not even talking about streaming or Google Stadia. If I understand him correctly, he means it won't matter anymore if you have a PS4, PS5, PS6, PS7 or their Pro counterparts or Xbox, a lot of games are going to be cross-gen except a few. Xbox has started porting to PS, only a matter of time PS sends exclusives to Xbox. Which console you have won't matter anymore, like the PC space, it'll just be about the games.

The Magnus brothers are back in the story and my interest in Metaphor Refantazio has shot back up - Del's ever wide-open eyes suspecting everything 😆. Plus, back on Shadow of the Erdtree, found a dismantled fire golem/wicker man at the right side of Shadow Keep(in typical hiding in plain sight ER fashion) under the deep blue evening skies. Right there, that scenery, further emphasized SotE is a force to reckon with in TGA Art Direction category.

More Metaphor for me here also, though I'd say it's easy to fall off and then jump back again when the typical Atlus TEXT gets overwhelming. Still tarrying in the game that has no competition - RDR2. Still appreciating FromSoft signature art direction in Eden Ring, Bloodborne, Sekiro.

Re: Review: PS5 Pro - An Impressive Yet Inconsistent Upgrade

TheArt

I mean a lot of people try to genuinely criticize and come to conclusion like this review but they get called jealous broke haters so...Midgen refreshes aren't that necessary. People don't even remember the Xbox One X and cash grabbing MS of all people haven't even thought of a Series X Pro.

Can't believe the game I have the most screenshots is Elden Ring. 600MB worth of screenshots, game's just too artistic. Trying to find more hidden bosses and areas in ShadowOTE, I've left that Consort bored up in that tower. And some evergreen Bloodborne on the side. Still on the fantastic Metaphor Refantazio but take breaks because y'know your average Atlus game can be overwhelming with all that TEXT sometimes. Plus tarrying in RDR2 and GTA5.

Re: Out Today: PS5 Pro, the Most Powerful Console Ever

TheArt

Honestly I like the design of this, followed by the Slim, base PS5 should've looked like these 2...why? The strip in the middle makes all the difference. Base PS5 is just too plain. If you're going to have a flat bland surface, there should be some sort of line across or something - like the PS4. Just the art side of me observing.

Atlus are just good with the stories, nothing straightforward, still Metaphor Refantazio. Went back to GTAV, been ages, still aging well, timeless! Trying to craft outfits I haven't still crafted before after 6 years in RDR2 and hopefully uncover some new secrets.

@colonelkilgore You'd think if Rockstar loved money so much, they would've released GTAIV for PS4/5 like they've done with RDR recently. I miss it.

"even the most scratched copy of GTA: San Andreas."

So I wasn't the only one who thought San Andreas was the most scratched game back in the days. Lent my new copy to a friend, who lent to another friend, came back really scratched. Bought a second one used - came heavily scratched, bought a third used - came fairly scratched and I think I stuck with that one.

Still Metaphor Refantazio. I just love the immersion in this game, it explains how a mechanic is possible instead of just slapping it on unrealistically like in other games. For eg. it explains a teleportation machine resonating with the protag in the gauntlet runner, makes it possible to teleport anywhere you've ever been. Townspeople react to how you're back all of a sudden when they thought you travelled far away.

It explains the protag's sword has an elevation magic that makes it possible to ride instead of running around town like an idiot when everyone's walking. Again townspeople react to how a kid's riding a sword about. Recruitment centres explain how bounty target information is available across all towns. The immersion is just sublime. Gorgeous art, superb soundtrack, diverse accents(it's not a Japanese setting, no need avoiding the English voiceover 🙄), outstanding gameplay. Game is just sooo good!
