This was as much a Playstation show as it was Xbox as most of this will be on PS5 sooner or later. And in all fairness, Sony has NEVER done a virtual showcase that was overwhelmingly great. The last truly great presentation I can remember is the 2014 E3 PS4 rollout.

I must be the only person who enjoyed DA2. Ya...Spam A was lame. And everything was a reusable asset, but I still enjoyed it and every piece of dlc.

I'm so tired of rhe ftp 5v5 crap.

More gameplay! Less CGI Hype! I saw a 'leaked' promo of this two years ago and it looked amazing.

It was ok-ish. Many of the indies looked at least interesting. Most of the AAA looked boring. Not showing Gameplay of Wukong was criminal. The Remedy guy was quirky fun. Geoff scolding the industry was some needed cringe.

There's nothing compelling or original about Concord. The entire thing looks like it was built by AI. Even the gameplay was primarily bots.

That 60$ price is better than I expected. 70 for the DD version. Not bad. Not bad.

I think they'll do this in waves. AoE, MFS, Forza, Starfield are all easy, low-hanging fruit. Xbox doesn't have a whole lot of exclusives as is. I doubt they will port the first MFS. But the 2024 version might get a dual platform release. I am gonna laugh if they can hit 4k/60 with MFS on PS5.

-Halo Wars 2
-AoE 4
-State of Decay 1 & 2
-Redfall (sell it discounted)
-Rare Replay
-Dune Imperium

I remember the first Kickstart for Shenmue 3. Yu Suzuki was like...let's finish this up! Then it's done...and he's like 'It's OK we need to make 7!'

So...imma pass on this.

@PuppetMaster if Sony gets smart and sells Astro-Bot at a budget friendly 50$. It sells 20 mill +. If they push for 70$...8 mill, if they're lucky. It's a shame they went PS5 exclusive with it. Could have reached some really stupid levels of popularity.

Concord is DOA in its current visible form. At least for me. Nothing in that reveal sparked anything resembling interest.

Astro-Bot on the other hand...

Till yesterday, I had no idea SGF was happening this week. Wish I could forget I found out. I expect very little. Maaaaaaaybe a Silksong reveal but that's it.

@Pistolega don't forget the Remasters over Preservation tactic. As the not-so-great Jim Ryan said 'if I can get you to buy the same game more than once, I'm doing my job.'

Steam and Nintendo being years ahead of the two nincompoops Sony and Xbox, constantly amuses me.

If that works on a Steamdeck, I might be down for it.

Ok...I cast my vote and immediately laughed at seeing it hit 73% for AstroBot. The game looks straight up delightful and full of joy.

The PSN requirement of a single player game is asinine.

But that leaves what...TLOU2, Spiderman 2 , Stellar Blade, Demon Souls and now AstroBot for major exclusives left that are likely soon headed to PC. Ok maybe not Astro Bot...but I can dream!

Aside from GoW2 on pc, this was the only highlight of the entire presentation for me. This looks delightful.

I'm kinda curious if the next wave of Xbox titles gets announced here or at the Xbox showcase. I have very low expectations from Sony otherwise.

I'm waiting for the day of AI rights and protests against AI crunch, while humans have devolved to inhabiting Spaceships and we never walk. We just float around in big comfy chairs while AI bots do all our work for us and Earth is uninhabitable...

...wait that's the entire plot of Wall-E!

Straight up, this is probably the best Sony exclusive port playabe on SteamDeck at launch that I've ever seen. It looks and plays rock solid, without any of the streaming asset problems that plague Horizon 2. It's an incredibly well done port.

THAT HAVING BEEN SAID! I am extraordinarily upset over the complete removal of Legends mode for Steamdeck players. How is this mode any different from Helldivers 2? Both are co-op multi-player. NOT competitive. I had no major issue with signing in to PSN, but Nixxes REMOVING multi-player entirely from a particular popular machine? I have a huge problem with that.

The Xenosaga trilogy please.

It's been hit and miss of late. But generally hit. A BIIIG miss with TLOU and less so with Horizon 2. But I personally love having most of my Sony exclusive library available via Steamdeck wherever I go. Just wish they would adjust the coding on Horizon 2 to run at PS4 levels as an option instead of this ultra high grade crap.

Every day I'm glad I got a Steamdeck...all the console drama is absolutely tiresome.

Just rename the Steamdeck as a porta le PS5 and be done with it.

The game is kinda boring tbh. I signed up for PSN to HellDive and it's included with Essential. Good looking. The physics with the foam are pretty cool. But booooooooring.

Dangit I was gonna get a Happy Meal this summer! Guess I'll just have to make the sacrifice for the cheapest great time sink there is.

Serve: For Super Earth!

It plays with the Topspin 2k game with 120$ version that doesn't include many stars. Just wait for a year, then buy it for a nickel. Outlaws looks bland and boring anyway. That whole 'story trailer' was terrible.

@GamingFan4Lyf my favorite is the VERY small taste of how terrifying the open sea can be in a storm. They nailed the vertically that can happen. I didn't know about the cloud functionality with that tho. That's interesting. I put a solid 200 hours in on the One X and the sailing alone is worth the price of admission. The PvP I could care less about however. I'll probably do the Safer Seas mode. Even if it removes Ship Loadouts.

Considering my Series S now occupies a prized position on an abandoned closet shelf...it is a little tempting to enjoy the best sailing mechanics in gaming. Even if I still don't care for the always on, live service model.

Just gimme an order of Hashbrowns: Smothered, covered, capped, peppered, chunked, diced and topped. Hold the country. That's for eggs n biscuits. Pretty sure you can do most of that while Tekken-ing. Oh and one pecan waffle.

The model is awful...but the VA seems spot on from the little I've seen. Silly Mulltiverse Joker.

Wait....so Embracer bought them from 2k. Then they bought themselves out from Embracer. To sell themselves back to 2k? Is that the rough timeline?

I love Top Spin on my old Vita...but there's no chance I'm plunking down 120$ for the Ultimate BBQ XL version. I'll wait for a year or so and get it for a nickel. LIKE EVERY OTHER 2K GAME.

Bring em on. I was just debating upgrading to 8tb. As soon as they had that silly Business Podcast, they might as well have waved the white flag. It's a safe bet that all the exclusives are now being built for PS5 compatibility. The new Fallout Complete pack for PC. The new MFS 2024. Etc.

If they are looking for a wishlist, here's my top 5.

-Rare Replay
-Age of Empires
-Gears of War (the rumored compilation pack)
-Starfield
-Forza

Long as I can play it on Steamdeck, I'm happy.

And yet it will hit 30fps in 1280 X 800 on Steamdeck. The little portable PS5 makes me wonder why even have the big brother anymore. If Ghost lands as predicted...I can probly pack it up.

No chance this lands in a good state this year. After Anthem, Bioware is on a short leash. It's gotta be perfect. I'll lay odds on 2026.

My backlog is entirely sufficient to fill my leisure time for several years at this point. I'm still a bit surprised that AAA is falling off a cliff this harshly, but after 2023 and the dearth of big releases, it seems rather foreseeable. Microsoft probably sees the same thing, thus the new multi-plat strategy.

Well it's gonna be a helluva week till we find out. What a dramatic turn of events...

@IOI Xbox isn't flopping. But the Series is definitely not succeeding. They have however positioned themselves as a potentially very high grade publisher.

This is like Deja Vu with Sega after the Dreamcast flop.

Considering the VERY short list of Hit Exclusive Xbox titles it comes across like a short term cash grab with long term effects. It has the potential to destroy the Xbox brand. Completely.
