Re: Minecraft Is Dropping PSVR Support Early Next Year

Yozora146_

A real shame for me, loved seeing certain world like the jurassic world pack in VR. Never thought PSVR support was something that would need to be taken away. However seeing as my VR1 is packed away and my VR2 is out, I guess I'm part of the reason they can drop support lol.

Hopefully VR2 compatibility is in the works, but seeing as it too could be removed what's the point.

Re: Feature: PS5 Pro's Been Clowned on By the Entire Internet, and the Memes Will Make You Laugh

Yozora146_

@NEStalgia My comment wasn't really about value it was just about how the "improvements" the pro introduces are just what generally differs the price points between components for pc hardware.

As for value my honest opinion is that until I see actual analysed footage of pro enabled games (console in hand of say DF) throwing numbers is theoretical. Example for me is how MH wilds will work with pro and what difference it will make versus base ps5 and equivalent PC builds. I also want to see what VR improvements it brings.

I'm largely trying avoid bias these days, noticed people are using this news to either sell people crap, or to justify their own purchases. No disrespect to anyone but I want a collection of data from reliable sources before I pass any judgment on the PRO.

Re: PS5 Fans Think Sony's Accidentally Leaked a Wireless PSVR2 Headset

Yozora146_

Don't know why, but I thought a wireless accessory pack could be a thing. No idea how it would work lol. Unless sony are trying a new much cheaper revision of VR2 (given most peoples mindsets on this site sub £200) can't see this being a thing tbh. Although it seems sony are happy with the roughly 2 mil they've sold already.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Finally the Right Time to Buy PSVR2?

Yozora146_

@LN78 I wish bud, I think I'm on the younger side as far as commenting on this site goes, but I've got an old 3D harry potter blu ray that I'd like to try from back when my dad had a 3D tv. But given what companies are like these days can't see it happening unless it prints fortnite money lol.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Finally the Right Time to Buy PSVR2?

Yozora146_

I've stayed largely out of PSVR discussions for a while, but I have seen people's views. While I too am very annoyed at sony for lack of 1st party support (namely at least some type of astro bot content) I have noticed some things. It seems that a lot of people are just anti-VR in general and very clearly even if they won't admit it, wanted it to fail from the start. I mean have you seen the reception to the batman Arkam VR game? I knew it would be niche, I didn't think it would sell more than 5 mil but I would've considered it a success if it did. I like my VR headset for what is worth (obviously even more of if I got it at this price lol). I prefer it wired, means I don't have to bother with a battery which is especially useful for my extended GT7 plays and never had any issue with tripping over a cable, as honestly if your moving that much I think your overdoing it a bit.

Re: PS5 Sales Reach 59.3 Million as Sony Falls Just Short of Fiscal Year Forecast

Yozora146_

I guess I'm happy the multi billion company is doing all right?

But damn what's happened to push squares' comments section recently. Its become filled with fighting, troll bait, and honestly a bit of tin foil hat theories lol. Can't we all just get along without blowing things out of proportion. I thought games and its relations were meant to be stress relieving not stress inducing.

Re: Battlefield 2042 Support to End with Season 7 as Next Game Ramps Up

Yozora146_

Given how much I hate the direction that game took I'm glad its ending, I knew it was being codified, when they removed being able to zero your weapons, and the terrible map design limited vehicles (seriously 1 jet for 64 man teams) to boot. Looking forward to the next entry however especially if it is like BF4 or BF1.

Granted I don't know if they fixed what I put earlier but thats how put off I was.

Re: PS Portal Is Proving Everyone's Predictions Wrong

Yozora146_

@Th3solution I agree with you, its downright silly how personal people are trying to make it.

As to the reason, if the comments here are anything to go by, it seems that many are still burned by the Vita flopping, which I feel is why many seem to love to trash on the PSVR2 and its relatively low (not necessarily poor, thats up to sony) sales. And that any similiar kind of hardware must've only been bought by fanboys or idiots for not buying a vita instead.

Re: Sony Allegedly Pausing PSVR2 Production Due to Surplus of Unsold Stock

Yozora146_

@EfYI I think you're right on the money about the industry being less than expected, people are making out that VR is this massive behemoth in sales when in reality its still very niche, as I keep pointing out the MQ3 hasn't sold too well at the moment. If the VR industry is doing anything its due to the MQ2 but even then it has retention issues.

Re: Sony Allegedly Pausing PSVR2 Production Due to Surplus of Unsold Stock

Yozora146_

I think for the price you're simply not getting enough, although that comparison is largely due to the MQ3 which isn't flying off shelves either.

That being said it, what it does well, it does well but its held back by hardware limitations (PS5 isn't powerful for max res of the headset) and awful lenses which is my biggest gripe as after having to reuse my psvr1 headset even that has better lenses. The wire for me is a non issue as it means I don't need to care for a battery, and I'm yet to trip on it.

Re: Video: One Year Later, Is PSVR2 Doing Enough?

Yozora146_

@JayCee-007 I think that its not so much the headset but that the PS5's blu ray player doesn't support 3D output, but still hopefully for an update maybe one day. But with the death of mass market 3D media I can't see it happening.

Re: Video: One Year Later, Is PSVR2 Doing Enough?

Yozora146_

@Mikey856 GT7 in VR is so good, its damn near impossible to go back to the old flat version. Makes me excited to think. a PS5 could improve the visuals further. Its why I'm happy the headset isn't wireless, that way I can race without worrying about the battery dying mid race. Got my first pole position, 1st place, clean race ever using the headset on laguna seca.

Re: Video: One Year Later, Is PSVR2 Doing Enough?

Yozora146_

I think there is of course room for improvement but damn I think people expected this thing to fly of shelves when in reality its done about as well as other VR headsets, in fact the only headset with a modicum of succes (that I think people expect) is the MQ2, cuz even the MQ3 isn't exactly flying off shelves. I think people still haven't realised how niche VR still is.

It also seems that most who enjoy VR (not necessarily VR2) like it and those who were on the fence or don't own one believe its failed horrifically. I honestly think its done about as well as sony expects which probably explains the price.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of PSVR2, One Year Later?

Yozora146_

@TrickyDicky99 I gotta be honest I'm not entirely sure how reliable gamertagVR is (we're on about the youtuber right) I learned a long time ago that people often push their own agendas (background deals etc) they stretch the context a bit. Sales of certain software could fall of a cliff eventually pretty sure that always happens at some point but if its the video or twitter. But he has also given praise to VR2 and certain software recently from memory.

The biggest concern is the fact that sony themselves have admitted that its more a nascent business than a core business and they expect organic growth rather than an explosion of sales, but hey it's at least made more money than the last of us online am I right lol.

Its also not like the MQ3 has been flying off shelves, current popularity of metas platform is being driven by MQ2. Point is VR still isn't mainstream and sonys PS5 exclusive hardware for now is still a small product in a very niche market.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of PSVR2, One Year Later?

Yozora146_

@TrickyDicky99 I usually agree with a lot of your criticisms as many are fair, but if given by sonys last statement on the product was anything to go on, it seems that Sony priced the hardware so they could maximise profit per unit because many VR players spend a lot on VR software and truth be told I'm one of those, I've probably got more VR software than native PS5 flat games at this point. So sony probably doesn't count it as a flop as they're making money off the software.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of PSVR2, One Year Later?

Yozora146_

@Member_the_game At least its a better point to explain that you don't feel that the price tag is justified by the product.
Its like people who brag about their high end PCs and come up with lame crap like "oh just admit you're poor" but for some people, extra frames and resolution isn't worth the price tag, or more specifically a couple grand more.

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of PSVR2, One Year Later?

Yozora146_

Am I happy with mine yes, could it be better yes, the lenses do need some improvement and I would say if a PS5 Pro exists it should upgrade some games to use the native resolution of the headset. But I do wish it would have some first party games, even if they were mini games like The Playroom VR, or ports of say wipeout.

Re: Sony Testing PSVR2 Compatibility on PC, Aiming for This Year

Yozora146_

I love my VR2 for all the pros it has but, yeah I gotta agree with a lot of people sony pooped using those lenses they're not good in fact the OG VR1 lenses offer a clearer image. Still I prefer wired over wireless just because I play mine for much longer than any battery lasts.

I do agree a quest 3 is a better PC headset as most PC software won't use the VR2s features at this point.

Re: Xbox's 'Everywhere' Future Outlined in Company Memo from Phil Spencer

Yozora146_

@__jamiie They probably have made profit, but as I'd like to think I've done my homework on this, but microsoft have never released publicly how much profit (if any for that year) the xbox division makes that is a fact I believe so there's no way to confirm that. But in my opinion I do think they make profit but this shift in strategy (probably from shareholder pressure) just highlights if are they are making enough profit, to keep the shareholders happy.

Point is they'll be fine they're just looking at the long term for growth I think.

Re: Xbox's 'Everywhere' Future Outlined in Company Memo from Phil Spencer

Yozora146_

@__jamiie the numbers wasn't so much a quote as a hypothetical and either way you have no way to refute the possibility, and your statement that just because its microsoft is just as nonsensical Microsoft have made bad business decions in the past the xbox arm in particular made a huge blunder with the launch of the xbox one something no doubt undoubtedly they're feeling today.
