@Northern_munkey But if they poured the money to hire more devs to compensate for the idiotic deadlines the game could be optimized, and gamers will be happy.
The hardware is less of a bottleneck now, the real problems are horror development cycles.
@Lavishturtle I do not understand the "appeal to modern audiences" because the "modern audiences" are just too small of a number to make a profit. After all it is all about making a profit Or is it about the Joker's way of sending a message?
I know the big companies have money to burn but it will eventually come to an end, we see many studios closing because of such financial "maneuvers".
This weekend will be the start of my fight against laziness! I am cleaning up my project and starting to actively make additions to my game Castletoria!
In the meantime, I will casually continue with Echoes of Wisdom and the Half-Life port on the PS2
@Northern_munkey Actually, on the top of my head the only games that I know of this crap are Hogwarts Legacy (ofc) and the latest Ubicrap titles - Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar, The 2 Jedi games and possibly Assassin's Creed Shadows. We are not counting games that require constant online connection like Diablo 4. (those are not even games, those are services )
I am trying to remember of other games that do not have the playable base game on the discs for PS5 (and couple of PS4) but that is it.
Isn't that hardly 6 titles and 1 of them is not even released?
So physical games are still in an "ok" state. That is why I am so frustrated at such releases.
@Moj500 Then just release the game as a digital only title if you can't provide a playable physical copy. @Czar_Khastik is right, this just an expensive coaster.
UNFORTUNATELY the delivery of Echoes of Wisdom is late, and I will get it probably on Monday I wanted it for tomorrow as it is the second half of my birthday present from my wife, the first one being the Meta Quest 3 :
Anyway, this weekend I will juggle between Resident Evil 2 Remake VR and Half-Life 2 VR. Those experiences are fantastic! And I love playing them in little bites! Instead of worrying about motion sickness, now I worry about Mr. X chasing me
I will also try Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon as I saw that it is hilarious!
And last but not least, The Last Faith A good mix of Blasphemous and Bloodborne
This weekend will be exciting for me as I entered the world of VR, and my first experience was to find a way to conquer motion sickness And I can gladly say that now I can play with smooth movement without wanting to puke!
So, I am playing one of my favorite games EVER Half-Life 2 but in VR! I am about to enter the buggy section of the game! Short sessions in VR is the key to enjoyment!
In the meantime, I will continue with Resident Evil Village and Skyward Sword
@LikelySatan Never heard of Odallus, Lords of the Fallen did not grow on me and I have to try it again. As for Bloodstained RotN it is average at best for me. Curse of the Moon 1 and 2 are fantastic!!!
I have started the Darksiders franchise again, so Darksiders Warmastered edition is first. Currently I am in the Iron Canopy making my way to Silitha. My plan is to beat all 4 Darksiders games on the Switch
I will continue my last playthrough of Resident Evil Village, this time on the PS5.
And a little dash of retro nostalgia with Faxanadu on the NES. This is one of the best hidden gems in gaming

Re: Konami Quiet as PS5 Pro Players Report Issues with Silent Hill 2
@Northern_munkey damn! Sorry sometimes I Really can't pick up sarcasm! It's 50/50 I guess

Re: Konami Quiet as PS5 Pro Players Report Issues with Silent Hill 2
I have a feeling that Sony forced the hardware division to release something just to give them a spotlight for the press
Instead of that they should've poured the money for the PRO in the gaming studios they own.
Re: The Game Awards Confirms DLC, Remasters Can Win Game of the Year Days Prior to Nominations Reveal
Well Shadow of the Erdtree is better than most full-fledged games released this year, so I hope it wins
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 555
This weekend will be awesome!
I am playing WarCraft III Reforged with the new 2.0 update!
And on the consoles side Red Dead Redemption, TMNT and Painkiller!!!
Have a nice weekend people!
Re: Hands On: PS5 Pro Injects More Magic into Hogwarts Legacy
@LogicStrikesAgain Thanks I will try to not over post it, and someone make a meme about it
PS: I made the same one when NL was milking the OLED Switch.
Re: Hands On: PS5 Pro Injects More Magic into Hogwarts Legacy
@NEStalgia At this point in the articles the whole "We are PS site and cover PS news" is becoming:

@Blofse
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 554
This weekend I will focus on Terraria (Switch) and Resident Evil 2 Claire A/Leon B (N64)
And for more casual play Baldur's Gate 3 and Pokemon FireRed!
And it is me and my wife 17th anniversary so we will also celebrate!
Have a nice gaming weekend

Re: Assassin's Creed Boss Says Series Is Inherently Diverse, Just Like History
@LikelySatan Okay, they are known for less of that. Especially the ones I played.
I just wonder what was so "inappropriate" about my comment ...
I hope this is not the IGN overlords pulling the strings.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 553
This weekend I have decided to be ALL about Castlevania
There are many unbeaten CLASSICvanias by me so I will focus on that and if things get too hard, I will relax with the metroidvanias a little
Happy gaming weekend everyone!!!
Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Comes Out Swinging, Already EA's Biggest Single Player Game on Steam
@soyabean135876 "It's almost as if they were just an angry loud minority making a lot of noise about it on social media and comments sections."
Did you really had to formulate it like that when there is a really angry and even smaller minority every time you "misgender" someone?
The argument does not go just one way.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 552
@NEStalgia Haha
Forever physical the rest is just a bonus VR is a bonus
PS: Ohh and GOG ofc!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 552
@Perturbator Yep, I am trying the vanilla experience now and I will start modding. But I have to use a guide FRIK is a must!
Other than that, I will try to avoid mods that add greenery and stuff like that to Fallout 4. I prefer the wasteland vibes!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 552
This weekend I will play around in Fallout 4 VR Really excited about that!
And for some traditional gaming I will enjoy Divinity Original Sin 2 and GRIME
Happy gaming everyone!

Re: Mini Review: Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred (PS5) - Hard to Hate This Meaty Expansion
The only good thing left about Blizzard are the cinematics and their older games.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy PS5, PS4 Could Be Getting Up to 15 Hours More Content
@Flaming_Kaiser Sure it is bad. There are some game that are optimized so badly but still you have something functional in hand
Re: Hogwarts Legacy PS5, PS4 Could Be Getting Up to 15 Hours More Content

Re: Hogwarts Legacy PS5, PS4 Could Be Getting Up to 15 Hours More Content
@Moj500 Ahh so it is a win to release a physical edition that does not contain the game in a playable state?
A friendly advice for you, next time instead of trying to hurl petty insults, THINK before writing something. You will benefit from it
Re: Hogwarts Legacy PS5, PS4 Could Be Getting Up to 15 Hours More Content

Re: Hogwarts Legacy PS5, PS4 Could Be Getting Up to 15 Hours More Content
@McTwist Yes, the physical edition for PS4 AND PS5 are useless right now.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy PS5, PS4 Could Be Getting Up to 15 Hours More Content
I hope they make a proper physical edition where at least the base game is on the disc ... not just the intro ...
I really want to play the game and that is the only thing stopping me from buying it
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 550
So, this spooky weekend I will start with Castlevania Order of Ecclesia
I will play some Resident Evil 4 Remake and also continue my playthrough of Echoes of Wisdom!
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 549
This weekend the main thing is The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom! It is fantastic!!!
I am also getting addicted to Majesty 2 again and I managed to run it on the Steam Deck!
And I still did not finish Half-Life 2 and Resident Evil 2 on the VR.
In HL2 I am about to escape Nova Prospect and in RE2 I am in the sewers with Leon
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Silent Hill 2 (PS5) - The Horror Great Remains So in This Excellent Remake
Definitely getting it and I am ashamed to say that I have never finished a single Silent Hill game (mostly played 1 and 4 for about an hour)
Time to change that!

Re: Fans Appear to Be Coming Around to PS5 Pro
At this price and the missing parts, it is not worth it.
But if people have money to burn it is their decision
Also, a reminder that my negativity will not die down
Re: Poll: Did You Pre-Order a PS5 Pro?
Not a chance!
IF I had the money, they should've put an ALREADY PAIRED disc drive in it in order to make it viable.
Re: Feature: PS5 Pro's Been Clowned on By the Entire Internet, and the Memes Will Make You Laugh
@get2sammyb thank you for the shoutout!!!

Re: Talking Point: Is PS5 Pro Way Too Expensive?
@amatmulisha lighten up, it is a joke, but ultimately yes
Re: Talking Point: Is PS5 Pro Way Too Expensive?
@EddieGallad you wound me

Enjoy
Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November
I am so happy that I will keep my FAT PS5!
I am not a graphics snob, and I love physical releases so the PS5 Pro is not for me
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 545
@Perturbator I have put some games on my Steam wishlist and just waiting for discounts. Skyrim VR is one of them!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 545
@get2sammyb it really is. I was so damn skeptical about it! Now I see how fun it is! There are communities that make wonders in VR.
First to the key, first to the egg!!!

Can't wait for the Assassin's Creed Shadows flop as well
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 544
@KyushuTrail It is my fourth time playing it but first time on PS5. It looks good
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 544
This weekend I will pick up Resident Evil 8 Village again.
Some Castlevania Aria of Sorrow will also be played yet again!
And for some retro vibes StarCraft 64 and Resident Evil 3 Nemesis!
Have a nice weekend everyone!

Re: Castlevania Dominus Collection Gathers Dawn of Sorrow and Its DS Brethren on PS5, and It's Out Now
I play them regularly as a Castlevania zealot/fanatic and I will play them again ... and again ... ah yes! AND AGAIN!!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 543
I will have a nice relaxing gaming weekend with:
1. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Horn of the Abyss on the Steam Deck
2. Machinarium - such a wonderful point and click adventure
3. Post game web swinging in Spider-Man 2!
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 542
@amatmulisha The game is big, but I think it is as long as DS1 without the DLC content.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 542
After Darksiders 1 and I am steadily progressing in Darksiders 2! Currently on a hunt for dead lords that went rogue!
Short bursts of Baldur's Gate 3, still feels weird to play that game when I have played so little of 1 and 2.
More short bursts of Painkiller as I absolute LOVE the atmosphere of the levels!!!
And finally, just a small game time dedicated to Pokemon FireRed in memory of Rachael Lillis.
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 541
I have started the Darksiders franchise again, so Darksiders Warmastered edition is first. Currently I am in the Iron Canopy making my way to Silitha. My plan is to beat all 4 Darksiders games on the Switch
