As an old guy gamer, I've been playing final fantasy since it started , I feel it needs to modernise after the same turn based, waiting for a bar to load gameplay for over 20 years . There are retro alternatives if you still need the turn based game like octopath traveler, 2d-hd version of earlier final fantasy games, dragon quest and recently like a dragon. I am a massive fan of recent DMCV and played a big chunk of ff14- still need to do shadowbringers dlc at some point . Hopefully ff16 success will also help Final fantasy 7 remake part 2
I have absolutely no interest in live service games after playing destiny since 2013 , I got sick of it. I've bought thr latest expansion buy thst will most likely stop . Its very strange considering how well the arkham games were to this monstrosity. I get Sony want to earn thr money due to how well gtav have done but likely ely skipping on this, I never touched the avengers either.
Probably wait til it's on sale. Have plenty of games to play with the likes of like a dragon issen, octopath traveler 2 and with legend of dragoon and wild arms 2 being released for ps4/5(wild arms 2, never came out in uk til now)
Kinda strange. Back to front. If it's going back in time does it also mean the power youve built from drinking those potions from wis get reversed , as goku and vegeta are at least a couple billion in power levels
Been waiting a good 10-15 years to play this, although from reviews I've heard it's quite dated I'll definitely give it a good go, until like a dragon 8 comes out
What about the issue with the game not loading if you have the ps5 beta installed. I contacted Sony directly but they refused to take any responsibility instead blaming discord 🙄
Excellent game, easily an 8/10 game. I'm used to the cringy dialog as I watch loads of Japanese anime , plus the plot is quite a common theme in anime. Gameplay is awesome. The works is empty due to a disaster thst happens. So it's actually part of the story. I bet people complaining haven't really played it
Software sales isn't that surprising, compared to ps2 Era, not many companies are taking risks or releasing fresh idea. Majority is remasters or sequels with incremental changes. Coipled with the fact everyone was gaming in lockdown so now that its over less sales. Saying that next few months are full of games so hopefully software sales increase
Replaying persona 3 + fes on ps3 wouldn't touch the portable version as it loses too much , especially without fes; feels like half a game . Not picked up p4 as have it in steam and vita may purchase it later in the year
Very unlikely that a ps5 pro will launch considering the ps4 pro flopped. It didn't sell well and Sony discontinued producing them after a year . If the ps5 pro did launch it would probably need a hefty price tag if it follows the ps4 pro with a bigger storage drive
I'm glad we're at least getting the game over here, I'm not too bothered about slight graphics update. Though saying that zero was pretty dated and shame there was no English voice acting
I'm a fan of one piece. Need to catch up in anime as stopped watching after 900 episodes 😅 and dragon quest . I'll probably buy it but the story been told before in a lot of the mosou style games. Probably wait til it's in the sale as skint lol
I really don't see Sony dropping the ps5 physical version especially with the supposed slim version and rumored ps5 pro unless they redesign the digital version with a bigger hard drive or an extension to allow to increase the hard drive that was speculated when the ps5" was first announce in April 2020
@LP09 that's not the Scottish slang lol. Also it's a rare occurrence but it can happen. Folk moving their ps5s about, breaking the box liquid cooling is in; mainly because it's a corrosive substance and can damage the box over time. Plus standing it vertically, there's a risk of it falling over and getting damaged
Someone in my gaming group had some of the liquid metal seep out, as I shared a post about this yesterday. I did suspect it could be a wider problem if it has got out. I never stand any of my consoles standing up since ps1, as there's a risk of it falling over and being damaged plus I don't have room for it vertically anyway
Considering fallen order came out in 2019 and wouldn't touch fallout with a diseased barge pole 😅. Although saying that I'm looking forward to jedi survivor
Cant really give a full review as only played an odd hour as been snashing musnight suns and other games but so far 8.5-9 actually prefer it over dead space with melee combatant was scary crawling by that killer robot . I'm quite a scarey cat so horror games are way out my comfort zone but thought I'd give it a go 😅
I'm about ten hours in. The difficulty curve isn't nearly as bad as x-comm games. Aa someone who's been gaming since the nes on 8mb graphics, graphics aren't that important for any game . Voice acting isn't the best but enjoy the various characters you can interact with snf build relstions ships along with strengthening attack moves.
In terms of software sales I'm cutting down on buying games as a lot are graphically pretty but lack the longevity as only 15-20 hours for $/£70 pricetag., lot of remasters etc hardly any games companies taking risks. Valkyrie elysium was poor, boring missions of beating up enemies , slightly different palette color etc but same enemies . Plus the fact a lot of games have been delayed to 2023 also have no interest in the subscription model as I don't game enough to be worth it as games rotate every 3-4 months plus hard drive space though ii do have 2 ssd on ps5 main drive and second 2tb nvme still doesn't last long
I love the max Payne games so be interesting to see where they go with this. Control was interesting but bit too hard got about halfway through the game but couldn't best thst obstacle course to get thst shield power so gave up may go back to it at some point. Never played Alan wake but may get the remaster in December
as i've said many times before, graphics have been too much of a focus, 30 fps is almost unplayable. as this late stage in the game, current gen consoles should easily do 60 fps . graphics should never be the focus
I personally can't wait, it reminds me a lot of star ocean 4 from what I've seen especially with the android samurai much like bachstein. Hopefully it does well enough for another game or possibly star ocean 3 remake considering its set 200 years before star ocean 3 . I'm not bothered by visuals , too many games this gen and last gen have focused too heavily on graphics. Really hope there's more star ocean games in the future after disappointing star ocean integrity and faithfulness
Wouldn't be surprised if it was a loading screen in disguise. I mean gow is still gonna be held back by old gen to some degree. Until its done away with. Which will probably be end of 2024 at the earliest. Hopefully the rumored ps5 pro helps with this
This why I'll probably never sign for anything more than the basic ps+ games usually change every 3/4 months. Unless Sony is in the middle of changing things but in the last few years Sony hasn't been transparent since Jim Ryan took over sk its not unsurprising.
@emj2010 yeah the story length for zero isn't that long in terms of time as its only 5 months January to may then azure starts in august of the same year and finishes in january 1205 .
@Athrum considering they were all psp titles that would've been a hard thing to do. It was only from trails of cold steel 3 that Nihon falcolm decided to start doing it straight to console as trails in the sky games, crossbell games zero/azure and trails of cold steel 1&2 were all psp ports with the added bonus of speeding up the gameplay
@Athrum it is the same game technically with improved gameplay additions it's one game split into 12 parts so far , I guess you've mot played the trails in the sky games or tried the first crossbell game. In my opinion graphics don't make the game
@belmont yeah but reverie has 3 different characters you control , 3 different stories thst will meet at certain points. Also calvard arc ties in with two criminal organizations that are in the crossbell games, they have there own military school like trails of cold steel games. I wouldn't say the empire were afraid it was just due to certain supernatural things. Plus there's also a supernatural element that comes up in the crossbell games
@dancingmind yeah the calvard story arc follow a certain plotline from zero without spoiling things new main characters but characters from previous trails games show up as cameos. As reverie as the end of erebonia/crossbell saga as the gameplay also has changed its gonna be a big change like going from from crossbell to trails of cold steel . As Nihon falcon has added option for it to be more like an action rpg. The trails of cold steel gameplay is still an option

@Ajfennell77 themes wouldn't work with ps5. Every game technically had there own theme when you select them

Did they fix hogwarts legacy though ? As when I ran the beta , hogwarts wouldn't load?
