Does anything light up inside the PS5 that would be visible through this? That might be kinda cool

Disappointed there wasn’t a far cry reveal. Yes, really. Maybe avatar scratches that itch, but not a big fan of the movies.

They should’ve punted this to September or something. Releasing this close to Diablo is suicide. They can’t see that?

I’d say Alan Wake 2 is a winner and a loser. Winner because it looks like it’ll be good. Loser because it’s digital only. Vomit.

Oh, another thing, way back in the day I actually sold my PS2 so I could get an Xbox and knights of the old republic. I know it’s a 20 year old example, but he’s wrong.

@dark_knightmare2 agreed, time is limited, and trophies are what really keeps Playstation as my main. That said, I’ve owned all of the Xboxes at one point or another and I’ve made time to play all of the halo games, gears games, and some random odds and ends throughout the years. Xbox has definitely profited off of me because it had great games.

@LiamCroft while having great games on Xbox may not lead anyone to sell their PS5 it would drive people to buy Xboxes, which they’re not doing now.

If great games aren’t everything then why is Xbox losing? Could it be that the other consoles have great games? It’s like a chef saying great food isn’t everything. I don’t think I’d trust this guy to pick up my dry cleaning, much less run a business.

Xbox was successful when it had great games on the 360.

I think gamepass will ultimately have to change due to the fact that there’s very little incentive for the developers to put out anything but “good enough” games because they’re getting paid the same regardless. The lack of quality will lead to consumer apathy. I struggle to name one microsoft exclusive gamepass day one game that I’d consider to be a system-seller.

The Sony model makes a little more sense due to the fact that games really aren’t added to the service until their peak selling days are long gone. The quality is still there. The problem with that is that I’ve played most of the games I’d be interested in by the time they hit the service.

I don’t think subscription services are going anywhere, but I’d guess they’ll look very different in 5 years.

With so many people just now able to get a PS5 announcing another version now would be a slap in the face

Dead Space 3 was amazing until it got planetside. The large, open zero-G part was one of my favorite sequences in the entire series. I’d welcome remakes for all three as long as we get #4 and a true ending.

Has Amazon made any games for consoles yet? I just wonder what this would mean for the future of TR on consoles. Maybe they’re making a lot of games, I really don’t know.

@Lavalera that was my last trophy. The grind was almost unbearable, but don’t forget to do the threat room everyday. Use Wrath (free modifier), then Wild Strike 5 times on the strongest enemies, then last sight, end turn, last sight, end turn, last sight, end turn. It gets you +2 dark balance in 5 minutes or so once you’ve got the pattern down.

I’m not interested in another of the “older style” AC games as I was completely burned out on those around the time Unity came out. That, and Basim was an antagonistic jerk and I have zero interest in a game centered around him. If someone’s into that then more power to them, but I’d venture to guess this game doesn’t outsell any of the last 3 AC games.

I really like midnight suns, but if poor sales means we’ll see xcom 3 then I’m fine with that.

The PS5 already takes up a lot of space. Who wants it to take up even more?

The only way I’d watch this is if it were the Greek storyline done in the style of the original Clash of the Titans movie with the stop motion animation. Otherwise it’s just another turd on the streaming pile of crap.

I’m sure elden ring is great, but I’m terrible at souls games so I don’t bother.

I’ve got about 10 hours into this game now and I can say if you’re a fan of xcom, fire emblem, and maybe a small touch of persona you’ll like this if you can get past some of the worst graphics I’ve seen in a very very long time. The graphics are right out of a PS3 game. That said, I am loving the game.

The regular dualsense is a great controller, and a little too nice already for me to consider an upgrade, especially at that price. Xbox series X, however, came with one of the cheapest feeling, loudest, worst controllers in recent memory, so I had to upgrade to the elite.

@Mikey856 I’m guessing it’s because this one seems to have taken everything wrong with the original and improved it (we’ll see how the asteroid shooting section goes), versus barely changing anything like the last of us

Meta Quest: Hubris Edition

God of War. I mean the original, I’d hate for someone at Sony to think GoW 2018 needs a remake.

I see people complaining about announcing all of this too early, but it was announced on an investor call (by my understanding), and they’ve got to get those stock prices up or they go out of business (not to mention pay for everything they just announced). Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

I don’t know why I thought this was going to be cooler than it is. It’s a thinly veiled way to get you to buy more digital games. That’s it, really.

@Perturbator I think they’re gauging interest with this release. If people buy this I’d expect more dead space in the future, so even though I think the original holds up I’m still buying this on day one

Degrading the margins for scalpers is going to help get consoles on store shelves and off of eBay. It’s not like people haven’t been paying more than this anyway. It’s not a good look for them, but it makes sense.

Wasn’t Days Gone a “Daryl from the walking dead” simulator anyway? I loved the game, but it’s already derived from film. I’d rather have a sequel to the game.

There was nothing “fun” about defeating the last Valkyrie in GoW. Even on the easiest difficulty. I thought he said this list would be fun.

What’s the difference between paying a block fee and, I don’t know, buying a company? One’s just a cheaper alternative.

A remake of the first Uncharted would not only be welcomed, but the price tag would be way more justified. I’m just starting to think ND is creatively and morally bankrupt. Sony needs to step in before all goodwill is gone with this studio.

Why not remake a game that actually needs it like the first Uncharted? I mean, the Dead Space remake feels absolutely essential compared to TLoU.

Nervous that they’re going to kill off kratos. Sure hope not.
