Hopefully Kingdom Come 2 is an improvement, because I bought that first turd at launch and felt hustled. Doing chores around my house was more fun than playing that game. I think I turned it off to change my cats' litter boxes and never went back. Really excited for the new Dragon Age and Astro Bot though.

The only reason I wish there were less is because obviously I would prefer development teams make game that I AM interested in. I did love Elden Ring, but I also used Save Wizard to neuter the hell out of it. Otherwise, hard pass on soulslike for me.

I don't think that physical games are ridiculous, it's good to have options. I DO, however, think people who are dying to tell you how they ONLY use physical media because blah blah blah ARE ridiculous. Great, you don't value convenience. Not everybody does.

And the whole "what happens if you lose your accont..." all I can say is, if we are ever at a point where major infrastructure is falling apart to that level, I think my library of digital games will be pretty freaking far down on my list of immediate priorities.

See guys, if you throw enough of a tantrum online, you CAN get an empty, hollow apology from the giant corporation that is really just them saying "okay, you win, please shut up now" and you really didn't actually accomplish anything. You'll feel like you did though, so that's a win!

To me the PS4 Pro made sense, 4K had blown up since the release of the base PS4, and the upgrade felt significant. I was in the middle of playing Horizon Zero Dawn when I switched and it was a massive difference.

There really isn't a need for a mid-generation upgrade, especially when last gen doesn't even feel over yet. It's a cash grab, and I'm not falling for it.

@DETfaninATL I agree with you, Odyssey was phenomenal and one of my favorite platinums on PS4.

I'm having a retirement ceremony for NCAA 14. It served me well for 11 years.

MS best console was the 360, which had a horrendous first year(s) on the market with RROD running rampant...and that's the high water mark as far as Xbox consoles go. I'm not trying to start a flame war, just pointing out the absurdity of it.

No offense intended to anyone, but spending an extra $30 essentially just to play 3 days early is a genius way to help idiots part with their money. I'll never understand the mentality of "OMG, I can play 72 hours earlier than everyone else? That makes me feel important! Of course I'll pay an additional amount equal to nearly 45% of the regular price!" Phrased that like it sounds ridiculous.

When nearly 50% of answers are basically either "too busy" or "don't care", you have to ask yourself if this poll is even necessary? Most likely someone on staff has a soft spot for this game and is trying to hype it up or something?

It still feels like 30% of new releases also have PS4 versions, so can someone please explain why we need a PS5 Pro already, when it seems fairly certain the power of the existing PS5 hasn't even been maximized?

This definitely cools my enthusiasm for the game some.

The more I hear about this game, the better it sounds. I think it might end up surpassing a lot of people's expectations.

@Athrum I spent almost 700 hours playing BG3 and not once did I think "this game needs a proper pause function."

Who cares about a re-enactment group freaking out over the equivalent of a clerical error? There are actual real problems on this planet you know?

The fact that they took a month to get this back up justifies my apathy towards it, I feel.

Sonic Frontiers is the first Sonic game I've played since Sonic Spinball back in 1994 or something, but I thought it was great and could be a great foundation with maybe some RPG mechanics added.

@Slippship every week someone comes in whining about this, and it's so pathetic. If the prices aren't low enough for you, DON'T BUY THE GAMES. Any other 1st world problems you want to get off your chest? Does your ice water only have 3 cubes instead of 4? I mean come on man.

Similar to the first game, I gave it an honest go, but there's just enough jank for it to be off-putting for me. But it's worth noting that I'm am the one guy who doesn't really feel Capcom games in general so not surprising.

This is easily the best lineup, in my opinion, in at least a year. 3 games I would actually at least try out. Can't remember the last time I said that.

If the physical boxes just have download codes or discs that require additional downloads, then what exactly is the point? At this point I think some people just get off on making their lives as inconvenient as possible to be honest.

That said, Elden Ring using Save Wizard is some of the most fun I've ever had in gaming. Without SW though, I would never have considered buying it.

I don't know man, I mean if I'm not having fun with a game, I stop playing it and find something else to do that is fun. It's really not that hard.

So I've come to the conclusion that a LOT of people find complaining fun for some reason.

@LifeGirl the only word more overused today than "toxic" is "entitled" and your use of it here is overblown, bordering on sarcastic. Nobody is protesting FromSoft headquarters over this. It's not entitled to want to be able to enjoy a game that everyone around you seems to be enjoying.

I'm actually concerned VI is going to be the last single-player GTA that we see, and they're going to devote full time resources to GTA Online after that. It's where the money is sadly.

@WhiteRabbit so you routinely buy games with user scores that low? If so, kudos to you. Personally I don't touch anything in that neighborhood.

Both Lords of the Fallen were stinkers honestly, though it's ironic that the 2014 version has a higher rating (3.93) on the PSN store than the 2023 one (3.69) and let's not pretend that 3.7 is a good score or anything...if they really deliver a sequel that fast, it will be like Dragon Age 2 where every asset is reused to death and will most likely feel rushed.

So now they're going to churn out Turd #3, outstanding. Does the world really even need ANOTHER mediocre Souls-like? I mean, why don't they just go all-in on a live service looter-shooter while they're at it.

Without Save Wizard, I never would have even tried Elden Ring.

With it, it's one of my favorite games ever.

To the people asking, Banishers is a pretty good game I thought (8.5/10) and definitely worth picking on sale!

I'm not usually into the samurai thing (I'm the one guy that didn't love Ghost of Tsushima) but this looks pretty cool, and looks very different from Valhalla, which I'm happy about. I skipped Mirage just because of how burnt out on the series that Valhalla made me. I don't ever want to see that game again.

@get2sammyb you're right, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is probably the most realistic game I've ever played...and I found it to be no fun at all.

Xbox needs to go, Microsoft needs to get out of the console business and become a 3rd party publisher. I'm NOT SAYING that Sony should have no competition (read that last sentence again please) but what I am saying is that ANY possible new competitor to the market would be an improvement and could not do any worse than Xbox has.
