gonna pre order it on play asia XD

I thought this was suppose to be one of the worst gaming generations ever, and this year had no games.
we had 3 bangers in less than a month with astro bot, silent hill 2 remake and now metaphor. I cant keep up at this point Dx

checking smyths its 800e for the console and 120e for the disk tray attachement. thats almost 1k. and if i had that kind of money to burn I would just buy a 4080super and finish my pc build.

I knew the ps5 pro was going to sell well ever since people started losing their marbles of a plastic grey case and controller design for the ps1 30th anniversary edition. brainwashing at its finest.

same people here complaining about lack of new games and too much remasters and remakes ended up being excited for horizon zero dawn getting a new paint job.

and you wonder why sony are they way they are this generation. XD

@LifeGirl we have been hoping for a good state of play for 5 years now. XD I guess hope is all we have left this generation XD

the 16% of you who are interested in spending almost 1k euros for this have more cents than brains.
it was almost 20 year agos sony trying to release a ps3 for 600 bucks and everyone grilled sony for it. and now fast forward to today this is ok.

the excuse pc gaming is too expensive, has truly gone out the window. this will only encourage sony to charge 800-1k again when the ps6 comes out.

This is Playstation fans chance to speak with their wallets and let Sony know this is exactly what we want. Quality Single Player games. if this game doesnt sell 5-10million copies, then theres no hope

The ps5 4yrs old at this point so its not surprising the console is showing its age. 60fps should always be the standard. People saying otherwise forget that ever since on the atari and nes, games were 60Hz. it was not until the PS3/360 era this 30fps thing became a thing.

Are games still playable 30fps ? ofc but its not the ideal to play any action game.

I dont know whats more difficult. Fromsoft games difficulties, or pressing a couple of buttons on a keyboard and doing a bit of research before buying something then complaining about it later..

people are way to entitled these days and love to moan about everything. at the end of the day no one forced you to buy the game. and if people still cant grasp the fact fromsoft games are difficult all the way back from the ps1 era, then thats not fromsofts problem, thats your fault

I had 19 games ready to buy this year before the nintendo direct started. Im pushing near 30 games. thats not counting indie games or the expansion dlcs for elden ring and FF14 dawntrail. RIP My Wallet

@naruball Factions 2 wasnt cancelled because it didnt look promising though. sony cancelled it because they didnt know how to monetize it. thats why it was scrapped.

Even though 99% of the games that were shown at Xbox showcase will be multiplatform, these type of presentations still matter to generate hype surrounding the brand of the big 3.

The fact Yakuza and Metal Gear are being first shown on Xbox platforms and not Sonys where it originally started means Sony is in a tough spot if it doesnt start providing excitement to its customers and to the people who are still playing games on ps4 they are trying to convert.

Sony might be generating alot of money with the ps5, but the sales of the consoles are in need of a serious boosting.

we are 4 years into this console lifecycle, you cant tell me in that time they have nothing to show, not even a trailer of some sort

My memory may be a little foggy, but didnt the Atlus dev say in an interview that The Aegis Dlc was developed alongside the main game but it ended up being scrapped, and then later revivied ?

if thats the case, then it isnt content that was held hostage just to be sold later to make extra money.

Anyways the fault isnt atlus, but players who dont know any better and still buy games day 1, knowing later down the line these games end up getting complete edtions.

you know Atlus track record already.

The only chance this game has if its free to play. otherwise its Dead on arrival. theres nothing groundbreaking or interesting enough about this game compared to the 100 of other hero shooter games that are on the market already. its a saturated market enough as it is

Cosmetics for first person shooters seems so pointless. you cant even see what your character is wearing. whats the point XD

what an absolute clown show the gaming industry has been for the past 5 years now.
Both the Sony and Microsoft Fanbases were all championing these Mega coporations to purchase every dev they could get their hands on, and what did we get ?

Lay offs, studios closed, games cancelled. all promises and no games.

I hope this will be a lesson for any other upcoming dev, to stay private and be far far away making deals with these bigger publishers. They are all rotten to the core.

Even worse Microsoft just made 22 billion+ in profit and you are telling me they couldnt keep these studios ?

they could have at least sold off arkane and tango if they didnt want them.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered doesnt belong on the list

All games should at least target 60fps, but for a lot of genres it isnt a dealbreaker.

Fighting games, rhythm games, Platformers, Racing games, Shooters, Action games have no right to be 30fps, when input delays can seriously ruin the game experience.

outside of these, 30fps is fine.

Hopefully they will bring Playstation back to Japan again.
This is the first generation really they gave total control to America and it Failed.

You only have to look at the state of the western game divisions across all publishers to see its in an awful state atm. While the likes of Capcom, From Software and Nintendo are carrying this generation with no lay offs

Fun fact Sony released more games on pc than their own platform this generation.

Keep in mind Sony profits are up and Playstation is still breaking records. its just margins are costing sony big time with game development too high and is hurting them.

Sony cant even afford to drop the price of the PS5 because some of the parts sony use are too costly and they cant afford to cut price to try to get more people buying the system.

@naruball seems far more realistic to turn a profit on a smaller game, than investing half a billion into something that would tank no ?

I cant even imagine how much sony invested in those Gaas. and still after 3-4 years not 1 of them released

The days of letting AAA budgets increase to 200-300million needs to be put to an end. its bleeding creativity dry, and since a console average lifespan is 5-7yrs, there will be far less games releasing the longer this continues.

I hope this is a wake up call for all publishers. if a game like lethal company, among us, rocket league can have massive appeal with far less budgets and devs working on it, then Sony and Microsoft can so the same with the bundles of talent they have working for them

@RubyCarbuncle Youre right! anything can break. but that doesnt make digital goods less of an issue. whats been happening for the past couple of days with playstation removing content, banning accounts, and today proves that. I have a ps2 from 2001 that still works and plays games. with or without internet.

• Increased the price of ps5 2 years after launch ( First time in console history this ever happened)
• Playstation first company to increase game prices from 60-80 Euros)
• Increased PS Plus prices
• Big Push for Games as a service
• Paid upgrades for PS5 exclusives ( when every other company did it for free)
• The closure of Japan Studio

I went in watching that direct with no expectations, and still thought it was a letdown.
but what I found that was the most insulting was, near the very end of the direct they had the nerve to show a movie trailer for Gran turismo.

During the playstation 3 era Sony were the first company to introduce online passes that if you bought a used game, you were locked out half the content on the disk unless you bought a key to access the online portion of the game.

Sony once upon a time offered free online, but then saw the success of xbox live and then made it mandatory if you wanted to play online.

Or how about in 2011 when Psn was hacked and 77 million accounts were compromised and peoples Credits Cards were stolen, but sony had to make a public apology about it for keeping it hush hush to the consumers who were affected ?

Ken Kutaragi founder of playstation once said that playstation fans are too stupid that they wouldnt mind paying 600 euros for a PS3.

and then lets fast forward to this generation. Sony are the only Console maker that dont offer free next gen upgrades to their exclusives for people who already bought the game, and demands people pay a extra 20 euros if they want it.

is that enough for you ?

Sony have been just as bad if not worse than Microsoft this Generation. No company should ever be championed. they are all greedy at the end of the day.

Sony were the first to put up the prices of their games to 80 euros, and are still the only company to slap a extra 50 bucks on a console when it was already 2-3 years old.

dont be fooled into thinking sony do the best for their consumers. they have been dreadful this generation

Great show, problem is there was not alot of games that are coming out this year. but next year is already looking to be one of the greatest years ever for videogames. my poor wallet XD

well I expected it, since it was exactly the same on ps3 with the ps classics.
