Re: Sony Sounds Shook by Xbox's Activision Buyout, Says Call of Duty Has No Rival

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@Areus Thought of that myself once but now I'm not so sure.

If EA isn't going to use Titanfall, it could be a cheap buy for that ip. Even Battlefield can't beat CoD and the game has been receiving a lot of hate over the years. 2042 is the first time i haven't bothered with the series. Battle Royal for V wasn't very exciting either imo. Would be a lot safer to have something more towards the older CoD gameplay instead of Battlefield realisim

Re: Sony Sounds Shook by Xbox's Activision Buyout, Says Call of Duty Has No Rival

Beeeee-AHH-eer

They should try make a CoD type of game of their own. Buying Titanfall would be a start but some fans want a modern militery game rather than a titan one and push it to success or make something brand new and keep it multiplatform. Grow the studio over time too. If they need to, allow it on GamePass to make money through battlepass.

Killzone and Resistance would be amazing but those would be limited. Killzone was meant to be a Halo killer but even Halo can't complete against CoD

Re: Nearly 80% of All PS5, PS4 Games Are Bought Digitally

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I buy physically. Very few games, the ones i love the most, I'd rebuy them digital when they are cheap. But if we come to an end with physical games then I don't see myself buying many or if any. Think I'd have a cut down like by at least 80% or more. If we are to go all digital, then I'd be mainly getting my gaming through subscription and replay older games.

Re: Ex-Square Enix Dev Heard Rumours of Sony Buyout

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Whether it happens or not, it's a shame they didn't care enough to take on Tomb Raider. With Crystal Dynamics and some help of Naughty Dog, they could have made some great Tomb Raider games while also keeping it different to Uncharted. In fact, Crystal Dynamics could even have taken over the Uncharted jobs if Naughty Dog wanted to keep pushing forward with new games. They have the talent for that type of game

Re: UK Sales Charts: Horizon Forbidden West Soars Back to the Top

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@Matroska Same for me too. You're lucky it took you hours. It took me days! At first I liked the idea of having the game for both consoles so I'd always have access to it one way or the other but now that I think about it I don't see myself playing it on PS4 once I get the platinum for that version. Going forward I would prefer to just stick with the PS5 version. The PS5 box also doesn't come with that ugly "PS5 upgrade available" stamp on the box art too if that matters. Would have been nice to get a digital PS4 version from the PS5 if they could have it tied to the account that installed and booted the game up for the first time, but I'd favour the PS5 disc for now on.

If you see yourself playing the game again and want to have it removed from the SSD, I would recommend moving it over onto an external HDD. It's a lot faster to copy that than going through the hassle of re-downloading all over again.

Re: Harry Potter Game Hogwarts Legacy's PS5, PS4 Special Editions May Have Leaked

Beeeee-AHH-eer

It sounds nice but I hate those early access. 3 days early really pushes people to spend more money to get access for what should have been the release date in the first place. It may not seem like a long wait, but it's not nice for fans that are excited to play on day 1.

I remember when MS was doing that with Forza, it meant that people lost out on getting to play the game over the weekend unless they pay up. Wouldn't be as bothersome if it was a Tuesday launch and still get it in time for Friday for the weekend. It also means having to be extra careful for spoilers in a good story game

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Game Delayed, Is Reportedly 'Far Behind Schedule'

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@NEStalgia Me too! Loved that! Used to see it as the stealthy Prince of Persia back then. Loved blending into crowds with the slow movement. Needs to make a comeback

AC2 Bortherhood also had a great idea with the assassin's recruits so I'd like to see that again too and maybe add actual training to it. Take some notes from Watch Dogs and let us go out and find suitable assassin's with different skills to recruit

Re: Next Assassin's Creed Game Delayed, Is Reportedly 'Far Behind Schedule'

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I hope we go back to big city games again and turn it into a parkour playground again. Have the option of having multiple ways of doing stealth kills and scounting for the perfect plan. If they want to go into a big open world then that's fine going from city to city but I'd like to see the cities to be like the older games.

I'm not getting bad vibes from the delay, just think that covid might have affected the developments going forward. Just hope it didn't go back to the drawing board or I'd be concerned then. They can take as much time as they need as I'm still playing Valhalla. Haven't finished the story yet. Been on and off it since 2020. And then I'll have the expansions to do also. So I don't want to see a new game too soon or I'd be burned out

Re: Killzone Shadow Fall PS4 Servers Will Shut Down, Three Other Games Too

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@Resi32 Thankfully I have most of them done and out of the way so that part isn't a problem. The part I need to do now is the level 11 to 15 pacts. Took a long break from the game so I didn't realise i had to turn the page to see those. Could have used the help with online players as the AI keep falling and the fights takes a long time. So I've a lot of grinding to do. Had i done it online then I would only need to focus on Alice Maze.

Re: Soapbox: No Free PS5 Upgrade for Persona 5 Royal Is an Insult to Fans and the Game Itself

Beeeee-AHH-eer

It feels to me that SEGA is getting greedy lately and looking to squeeze us for more money for nothing. It feels to me if Atlus wanted this, they would have done it long ago but just like other big publishers, it's the developers that get the blame.

Making the games multiplftrom to expand the audience for more money and now charging PlayStation fans for another upgrade. That sounds like it's a SEGA thing rather than Atlus.

Was bad enough doing it for Royal which could have easily been done as a DLC or expansion and the game could have had been updated for a restructure if needed to support it. Instead we had to buy the game again to get them. Now they want us to pay for a PS5 upgrade which we won't get a big benefit from. They know PlayStation has the fans for it, so they expect to squeeze us for as much as they can get.

This way of doing business puts me off Persona 6. Why wait for a better version of Persona 6 (like Golden or Royal) when we could just wait for a PS6 version to get the best version

Re: Killzone Shadow Fall PS4 Servers Will Shut Down, Three Other Games Too

Beeeee-AHH-eer

It's a good time for people to start working on the multiplayer trophies if they still needed them. Already have the platinum for both so I'm good. Would really love to see a collection of some of those Vita games for PS4&5 to keep them alive. Just don't need to add the multiplayer parts.

I messed up the Soul Sacrifice platinum. Was making the most of the weekends to get help with the hard pacts and I didn't notice there was even more harder pacts to do. Since the servers closed I've to do them alone. In my case I was distracted with other games and ended up forgetting so try not to make the same mistake I did

Re: Killzone Shadow Fall Standalone Co-Op Mode Leaving PS Plus Extra

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I don't understand their decisions either. Would make sense keeping their own games on.

Only thing I can think of for why they leave some games out or remove them is to keep the service fresh with a lot of swapping in and outs. If there is a game you want but isn't on, you will come back another day when it does. If everything was on, you'd probably not come back when you've had your fill. Might even get you excited when they return again too

Re: Poll: What PS Stars Rewards Do You Want?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'd mainly like the PSN credits. But I'd also take some keyrings, pins and maybe even an artbook if they made those of my favourite games. Won't go out of my way to earn them.

If they want to do digital figures, maybe they could bring PS Home back to store them and to show them off!

Re: Sony Announces PlayStation Stars, a Free Loyalty Scheme for PS5, PS4 Fans

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Sounds great and I've been looking something like this for a long time now. Only thing I'm not fond of is this part

"be the first player to Platinum a blockbuster title in your local time zone"

That sounds like most of us won't stand a chance as some people get their games early. Maybe it would have been better if they pick a random winner from players that got it in the first week of launch?

Re: Rumour: The Next Assassin's Creed Game, Rift, Will Be Set in Baghdad

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@BritneyfR_ee Exactly! Wouldn't feel the same at all. If they want to go with Japan then they need to make it different so it's not seen as a poor effort GoT-clone. If they did Japan then the Samurai would make a better enemy to assassinate than it would be as the protagonist and make it a stealthy focused game not one we fight head on

Maybe China could be a good option as the great wall could fit into an open world

Re: Poll: Is The Last of Us: Part 1 Really a 'Cash Grab'?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I don't think it's a cash grab but the price is a rip off for those of us that already own a copy. For starters it's not brand new game and it's missing the multiplayer. So even though it's a remake, it should be cheaper than a brand new game. That's how remakes in the past have been priced and it's Sony that's putting it at full price this gen. The price is the problem, not the game itself.

Wouldn't go as far as calling it a cash grab as I save them words for games that are designed to make us spend money to make progress, re-release the same game without any changes or improvemnets while not making something new, and for rubbish games for a quick buck.

The game is unnecessary but we need to remember that most people here that already played it are not the intended audience for it. If you're the kind of person that buys your movies in DVD and you're happy with that, then there is nothing wrong with sticking with the original. Or perhaps you like upgrading to Blu Ray so enjoy the remaster. But perhaps you love the game enough so you want the better version then feel free to upgrade to 4k Ultra HD. There's nothing wrong with the original or the remaster so if you don't like this remake or want it, then don't buy it.

I don't have a problem with remakes happening as long as it gives developers a job to do while other parts of the team are working on something new until it their turn to work on it. Personally I don't think TLoU needed one, and that there are better options they could have done instead. But that's what they wanted to do and we should accept that. There are other games we can buy if this isn't for us.

Re: PS5 Remake The Last of Us: Part I Has Gone Gold

Beeeee-AHH-eer

The closer we get to launch the more i want it. Love the first far more than the second. Trying to stay strong and not buy this yet because that price is too high for me, especially after playing it many times over. And there's going to be so many other games I really want too that I never played before so I need to put them first.

Really looking forward to playing this some day! That's if I don't fall to my weakness and hit that pre-order button. lol

Re: Ubisoft Working on Fix for Assassin's Creed Syndicate Bugs on PS5

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Yeah I think that tweet was actually a mistake and probably meant for Origins. The person that wrote it probably didn't know which game was being discussed.

Seen this in a Ubi thread and the most recent message
"I have just taken a look into it from my end and I am afraid we do not have any updates to share. We are continually monitoring the investigation from our side and as soon as further updates can be shared, we will post it below and let you know. "

https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/102955/assassins-creed-syndicate-flicker-on-ps5/76?lang=en-US&page=4

So I wouldn't count on them to fix this as they have been saying it since last year

Re: Skull & Bones Finally Sets Sail for PS5 in November, a Day Before God of War Ragnarok

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I think it looks good and exactly what I was expecting from Ubisoft after taking it back to the drawing board. The previous attempt was good after Black Flag but after having so many ships in Assassin's Creed since then, it would have only felt so stale.

It looks a lot like Sea of Thieves with a more realistic art style which is what I wanted. Can see a good bit of Assassin's Creed in it. Not like it used to be but some still there including the style.

Only bad thing I can say is that it looks like the kind of game that would be great fun when it starts and then burns us out when we see too much of it, just like Assassin's Creed does. Sea of Thieves would age better and would be more capable to remain fun with things like Pirates of the Caribbean expansion which this one may not be able to complete with.

Looking forward to it though! Won't be playing until after God of War though

Re: God of War Ragnarok Collector's Editions Revealed, Two Have Mjolnir

Beeeee-AHH-eer

After doing some thinking, I decided neither is for me. The lack of disc in the box is the big deal breaker. But thinking of the hammer, I want to see something God of War related that includes something to do with Kratos and/or Atreus. Perhaps something like both of them together with Fenrir.

I think I'd be better off getting a statue of the hammer from Marvels Thor. Bit strange they put the hammer in for a statue when usually it's something to do with the protagonist or an icon of the game so a Leviathan Axe would make more sense

It makes it seem like it's more of a Thor game than a Kratos one.

Re: PS5's Forspoken Release Date Delayed Until 24th January, 2023

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I had a feeling it would happen so I'm not shocked. It did seem to be a bit rough and bland so it wasn't the best time for releasing it. It's already very packed this year so there would be too much competition going on so I think it wouldn't gain big success while it's going up against other great games at the same time (think of Titanfall 2 being in between Battlefield and CoD).

They could really benefit the extra time. Best time to launch it is when all the big names have staretd to die down and it's quieter. Still looking forward to it.

Re: GTA 6 Is Rockstar's Focus as Red Dead Redemption, GTA 4 Remasters Reportedly Shelved

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Disappointing news. I would have bought GTA Trilogy in a heartbeat if it hadn't been a mess.

I would really like to see Red Dead Redemption being remastered or remade to look more like Red Dead Redemption 2 (similar to the Last of Us remake). And would most certainly throw my money at it again. It's their own fault for messing up the GTA trilogy so if they want my money then not releasing it as a mess would be a great start
