Re: Shocking: Sony Doesn't Want Game Pass on PlayStation, Microsoft Has a Pop at PS Plus

Beeeee-AHH-eer

If they want to give gamers a choice, perhaps they should allow PS Plus onto Xbox.

Having Game Pass on PlayStation would mean Xbox will have to leave the console business and just become the new SEGA with streaming. Makes no sense adding Game Pass to PlayStation when they won't allow PSN or Plus onto Xbox.

Gamers do have a choice. They just sound a bit bitter like they want to dip into the PlayStations playerbase that didn't care enough to buy an Xbox for their service

Re: PS Plus Premium's Logic Doesn't Even Make Sense to Sony

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Just a thought but I wonder if the poor attempt with the Premium could be with people stacking PS Now before the new tiers launched. Maybe they need those people to pay the full price and not the cheaper option. So until some or most of those expire, we may not see much of an improvement.

There is also the 50% off in the UK last year they could be waiting to expire too. Should be ending either this month or November.

Re: Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden Get January 2023 Release Date on PS4

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Would really love to jump back in but after hearing a rumour that there is a possibility of a Persona 3 remake, it put me off for the meantime until we see what happens with that. Knowing Atlus, it could happen and it makes me wonder could Persona 4 end up having one too after that.

Don't like that the games are digital only so holding off while I wait to see what's happening with the P3 Remake means I'd also be waiting to see if they do a physical version of those two. And if not, then someday I'd get them cheap.

The way they handled Persona 5 is another reason why I'm holding off too. First they did a Persona 5 then a Royal soon after on the same console and then a PS5 version without an upgrade or save transfer. They have put me off day 1 launches and pushed me into the wait a bit longer path instead.

Re: Hardcore PlayStation Fans Seem Dead Against a Horizon Zero Dawn Remake or Remaster

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I've been playing a bit of it again on the PS5 recently and thought to myself it still looks amazing and feels great to play even after HFW so it's really not needed at all.

Love the series but the remake/remaster isn't for me. There are plenty of other IPs I'd have prefered to see instead but more importantly new games.

I get that they want to do it for the TV series but it feels like it's just filler while they work on other games. That they can't get the other games finished soon enough to keep releasing something new. I remember during the PS4 days they released games like almost every month that kept me spoilt with choices so we were eating good back then.

Now it's like they are leaving us hungry so that makes it tempting to buy the remake/remaster when the TV series comes out but on the other hand I want something new and if i don't get anything new to play then it only sends me to their competitors to fill that void. That is if there isn't enough third party games I'm interested in (but I do have a big backlog to work on so I'm good!)

Re: Sony Will Continue to Make PS4 Games Moving Forwards

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Maybe it was a mistake to make a PS5. Probably should go into a new generation the phone way like Microsoft did with Xbox. So they should have made a PS4 Super Pro or a PS4 Pro 2. PS5 already feels like it's made for a new gen which hasn't properly started yet. So it feels like we are just playing games on it like it's still part of the PS4 generation only that it looks different

I'm looking the PS5 to be a brand new traditional gen with new games made for it that last gen can't run. But the way things are going, the PS5 is basicially just another PS4 that complicated things like BC, save transfers, which version of the game we play, etc.

I don't mind them making games for the PS4, especially if it's multiplayer but when it comes to single player games, I don't like that the PS4 will hold back the PS5

Re: Bloodborne Movie, TV Show Could Be a Thing in the Future

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I always wanted a Bloodborne series! Maybe I'm in the minority but I'd love a live action one. An animated one would be welcome too but a live action might pull us into the atmosphere better while animated might come off as a cheap and poorer version of the game. With the right actor and great cgi, it coud look amazing and pull us in. If a live action worked out then it could make a perfectly good studio tour for tourist to visit and feel inside that world too..

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster for PS5 Reportedly in Development

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm interested in some co-op but I'd like it if they make it for a third game. Won't be buying the remake/remaster if true.

If this ends up true then I think I might start cutting back on buying Sony's games since they love remastering and remaking. I want new stuff, not repeats of what I've already played.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West's Lance Reddick Outs Mocap Work

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Would love to have more! Such a great game and it remains as my GoTY so far until God of War comes.

I'm in mixed minds which game I prefer between this and HZD. The gameplay, open world, flying, more monsters are all so much better in this one. But I prefer the story from HZD and it feels a bit less bloated so it's hard to say which one has the better size. Big open world can be a lot of fun to explore but sometimes smaller is better, especially when you've already done the exploring and want a simplier play.

It took me ages to find better weapons for this game so I felt HZD did it better and more simple with that. Taking down the Thunderjaw was more satisfying in HZD too as HFW world is so big with a lot of shelter.

Then there is the cauldrons, in HFW, there was nothing in the game that was pushing me towards doing those. I forgot about them while I was off doing side missions making them my priority. Eventually I realised I should be doing the cauldrons so it wasn't until near the end of the game I started those. Would have been so much better to have done them sooner.

Both have good points and bad points that makes one better than the other. But this is a great sequel and I want more!

Re: Toss a Coin to the Third Season of Netflix's The Witcher

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I really enjoyed the show, especially season 2 but there are two things in it that I didn't like at all which makes me favour season 1 more. One of them is about Eskel that has been commonly talked about. Prefer not to mention the other reason as it would be a spoiler for anyone that didn't watch yet.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2.0 to Be Separate But Integrated Installs

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Good news to keep them seperate. Hated the way they handled the first. They deleted parts of the campaign to force Warzone updates in. And it really sucks that the game had so many updates when I had no interest in Warzone so the game was eating up my space and broke the campaign for nothing.

They should do something about that cross-play too. Really pushing for it to be enabled. I have no interest in using cross-play at all but why do they need to keeping doing my head in with reminders so often? The servers also seems to be struggling to get games running (probably on purpose) to push us to switch it on.

Before i consider playing this game someday, I'd like to see the changes they make. See what they do about Cross-play (so far not looking good in the beta) and if they can fix MW2019 so that the campaign can go back to how it was before they broke it

Re: Video: Here's Why The Last of Us: Part 2 Is Better Than Part 1, But It's Nothing Without It

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I like the direction part 2 went into so it was a pretty good sequel. It stood out different to other games. But I don't like that it's a game that just leads to hating this person and that person. At first I had this strong hate for Abby and then after we play as her, I was seeing this really bad side to Ellie that I hated her. Can't forgive Abby for Joel and can't forgive Ellie for the lives she took including the dog. lol

Part 2 has much better gameplay but I feel that story belongs with movies/series. Part 1 wins as one of the greatest game of the generation for me. Not playing as Joel in Part 2 was a downer and it changes things up too much for a game. Part 2 went quite serious in a realistic way while I wanted more of Part 1 with Joel and Ellie together. I get that Joel got what he deserved after the end of Part 1 but this is a game and for a game I just don't care about what he did. Movies or series would be a different story but not for a game. For a sequel game I wanted more with him.

I wouldn't mind having a Part 3 someday. But Part 1 will always be my favourite and my go to game. Part 2 is just to get the full story but not a game I'd be rushing back to. Can't see myself pre-ordering Part 3 though after seeing how Part 2 goes off into it's own direction so I may wait for a price drop. Will only be good for the story closure

Re: Sly Cooper Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Some Sweet Swag

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I need that plushie! Poster looks amazing too but I've nowhere to put it

I only became a Sly Cooper fan during the PS3 days when they made the collection. Was more of a Ratchet and Clank fan throughout PS2 so I didn't know of Jak and Daxter until PS3 either. Ended up loving them all, especially Sly.

Would really love to see that collection again for PS4. Streaming is terrible with my internet so the PS3 and Vita is the only way I can play them. Really want to see them on PS4&5 consoles.

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Teases Next Tombs of the Fallen Update

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@Mikey856 I would advise going after the collectibles around the whole map first. It's very boring and sucks the fun out of the game but you don't want to put 200+ hours into it only for the game to hit a bug and you realise you can't go back. It's unlikely to happen but you don't want to be forced to start over.

If you take one area at a time, get all the collectibles and make sure they have counted when completed. Especially the Mysteries! Keep multiple save files too with one of them being reserved for the start of a new area until it's completed. Once you get all the collectibles out of the way, it makes the story more fun. You don't have to do all collectibles at once, I just say it because you will reveal parts of another location and it worried me if some of them collectibes ended up getting bugged out.

Good luck! Took me near 300 hours to finish everything. lol

Re: Soapbox: Bring Back Warhawk on PS5, You Cowards

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm not sure I want to see Warhawk return. At least not as what it was on the PS3. If they were to bring it back I'd like to see a new one with better gameplay. The flight was my favourite part of the game but the boots on ground was terrible. It did look amazing, just didn't feel that way.

For StarHawk it went the other way, flight was rubbish but boots on ground was amazing.

If they were to bring it back I'd like to see better boots on the ground.

Re: EA Announces Iron Man Game in Development at Motive Studio

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Can't wait to see it! Has me excited at third persion, single player and being led by Olivier Proulx who has experience working on Guardians of the Galaxy. Just hope it doesn't use anything of Anthem. Really enjoyed Iron Man in the SE Avengers game so I hope this standalone version will be so much better

Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite PS5, PS4 Game Shown at Sony's Latest State of Play?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Voted for God of War Ragnarok because that trailer was just sooooo damn good! Loved that moment when Atreus fired the arrow into the sky and the very ending with Thor. Really impressed me

Had God of War not been on it, then I'd have went for Tekken 8 for another impressive trailer that blew me away. It's a hard choice with Hogwarts Legacy, Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade being hard competitors for my favourite trailer

Re: Poll: Was Sony's Latest State of Play a Show to Remember?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

It was soooo good! Really enjoyed seeing the God of War trailer and the controller. Tried not to watch the trailer so I could enjoy it properly when it releases but I couldn't turn my head away or close my eyes.

Tekken 8, Rise of the ronin, Project Eve, Hogwarts Legacy and Star Wars VR 2 has me excited!

I was expecting the show to be very average but it was better than I thought it would be.

Re: Talking Point: Is Assassin's Creed Moving in the Right Direction?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm looking forward to it and I always want more Assassin's Creed. The biggest issue I had with the earlier games was that they kept launching every year that it was feeling like CoD. That was dangerous because it caused a lot of burnout that was putting me off and sending me into the 'fed up with the series' direction.

But skipping a year helped a lot. It made me miss the game so that when they launched the next, I was able to appreciate it more. Take too long and it's a downer like waiting for a GTA 6 to happen. They need to keep the game very much the same while trying new things to freshen it up.

The worry I have with Infinity and going all out on AC, is that it could cause that same burnout problem again. It could also lead to having fear of missing out. Like having to buy the dlc/expansions or having to play whatever free missions they add to follow the story properly in the next game to avoid spoilers or missing out on things. We all have other games to play too so may not always be in the mood for that. That can lead to getting fed up with the game. A problem Pokemon Go has these days, it pushes people to take parts in events or complete tasks before certain dates or miss out. It became more of a job than fun.

Re: Reaction: Publishers Are Getting Worse at Nintendo Direct-Style Livestreams

Beeeee-AHH-eer

They have gotten worse for sure. The older E3 days and Gamescom were just the best. Left me thinking about the games days after the reveals. Over time they have become stale and showed us a lot of filler. Showed us too many repeats too.

These recent showcase have far too many things being thrown in that are of no interest for me. Take Ubisoft, shoving all that phone, Netflix and Apple TV down our throats but it's really Assassin's Creed that we showed up for. The AC parts were fine, but the rest of it before that wasn't. Gamescom made no sense adding game awards when there is already a show for that.

I don't think any of them really have much worth showing so they settle for what they have for the sake of having a showcase. They need to create a great playful one. Mix it up too. Don't be shoving phone game after phone game, Netflix games and then Apple TV or Black Adam at Summer game fest or even kojima at Gamescom with nothing to show.

It needs games and lots of it. Needs to be fun and exciting. Not phone after phone, TV then more TV, trailer after trailer without gameplay, bringing on hosts that go on and on with so much chatting (big problem with some of Microsofts shows). We should be seeing all those great games we will be playing, getting excited for them and having the snacks ready to enjoy the show. Don't want to feel like I'm sitting in the cinema watching just ads in bordom.

Re: Assassin's Creed Arrives in Ancient China, But on Smartphones Only

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Such a pity they aren't making a main game for consoles.

I understand it's good for China fans that game on the phone but Assassin's Creed 3 was a console game and AC 3 Liberation was made as a handheld game. So even though China has this phone game, the console could have also had one that also takes place alongside the events of the phone game just like AC3

Re: Skull and Bones Shows Us Lots of Exploding Boats in New Gameplay Trailer

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'll play it someday but not on day 1. Been looking a pirate game to play on PS that is similar to Sea of Theives. SoT is a great game but none of my friends have it and it's not fun to play solo. This game is like the next best thing. But feels like it's being sent out to fail after development trouble. And now the push to release it over that government agreement with Singapore.

Doesn't help much that the game is releasing on the same day as Sonic or that it's one day before God of War.

I want the game to do well enough to see a sequel or at least be given a second chance and maybe then the developers will have a much better and clear idea how the game can be made better. This is the closest pirate game we have for PS and we may not see another. Xbox and PC already have a great pirate game sorted.

Re: Assassin's Creed Is Dropping PS4 with Infinity's Red, Hexe, and Beyond

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@Gladio We will have to wait and see. But to me that's how it looks to be heading this generation. Doing it slowly so we adjust to it and accept it later

The physical box of Dawn of Ragnarok is a code in the box.

The official Assassin's Creed Twitter account posted the picture of the collectors edition for Mirage and it says "Exclusive Steelbook [no game disc included]". I don't see any mention on the UK site about the lack of disc though so it might be a US thing.

It's been pointed by someone on Twitter that Just Dance 2023 is a code in the box. And then there is Sony recently did Horizon Forbidden West collectors edition and now doing God of War collectors edition with a code in the box. So who knows what will happen

Re: Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Last Chapter Arrives 'In the Coming Months'

Beeeee-AHH-eer

Still playing it at 270 hours. Currently doing the missions in Dawn of Ragnarok. Been so on and off with the game since launch but the way I played it was went after every artifact, wealth and mysteries first taking one place at a time to avoid a trophy being locked out incase of bugs. That part was so dull. But eventually I cleared the whole map which left me open to playing the main story in one go. Repeated that for Ireland, Paris and Svartalfheim.

Taking breaks can help a lot to prevent burnout. Once all the collectibles are out of the way, it meant that the story could be enjoyed properly.

I'm ready to end it with that last chapter. Need a break after this and get back to my backlog

Re: Assassin's Creed Is Dropping PS4 with Infinity's Red, Hexe, and Beyond

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@Gladio I could be wrong but it sounds to me it's just a hub that you go into and then play any game that's on it from one place.

I'm betting physical buyers may have to consider getting the games digital going forward (unless it's forced that way) or we would have a different experience having to keep putting the disc in for the game to boot up.

Re: PS5 Overtakes Switch as UK's Best-Selling Console of 2022

Beeeee-AHH-eer

@UltimateOtaku91 Should think about calling it new gen if you're not ready for current gen.

Personally I considered the PS5 new gen from the first year of launch but now consider it current gen. Both PS4 and PS5 being current gens but I prefer to give the word to PS5 now as PS4 fades out. At the moment I call the PS5 new gen and PS4 last gen so neither get current

Re: Assassin's Creed Finally Goes to Japan as Ubisoft Takes on Ghost of Tsushima

Beeeee-AHH-eer

The comparision I make between this and GoT is the gameplay. GoT has taken the gameplay a good leap forward while AC remains the same while taking baby steps forward. If Sucker Punch was to make a Viking game then I'd make a comparison with Valhalla for the same thing.

Still looking forward to playing them all anyway. I just hope Red is like the main games. The art style in that video makes it seem a bit more like Chronicles

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Make of Microsoft and Sony's Call of Duty Quarrel?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I don't really care anymore. Both sides are looking out for their own interest. Doesn't matter what we want or think. They do what they gotta do to make themselves the most profit

Not a fan of either side buying up big publishers like this. Studios I'm fine with but not publishers that should be growing themselves. It also means that MS doesn't need to try taking risks anymore like they used to and I don't want to see that happening as i've enjoyed some of their work. Only reason why MS isn't paying for third party is because they don't see their investments back like Sony does. And with Sony being in the lead, MS would have to pay even more to secure a deal. Sony will always keep pushing forward putting in the work to try new things. MS will just rely on their usual games + Bethesda and Activsion to do everything. They have so many great ips that will never see a sequel

Haven't played the last few CoDs and the price certainly puts me off. The older games I used to have a great time playing with friends. Over the years more of them started getting on with life that very few even plays or have time to join at the same time. We had some rare days that a few of us jumped on but a lot moved on years ago. If anything this pretty much kills it off for us entirely.

I mainly just go for the campaign now as i don't have the time to sink into multiplayer. Multiplayer is already ruined thanks to Warzone now. And £70 is far too much for the campaign. I also can't bring myself to support MS for buying up the publishers as it feels like i'd be supporting them to do more. So I think I'd just play the campaign when I have GP and then be done with the game. No more paying for it. That's really the only money they see of me as I never pay for the battle pass or mtx but I know my friends do or at least used to. Without the group, they may move on too as they don't have the money or time for another console. I'll be putting my money towards a different game instead.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give The Last of Us: Part I?

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I give it a 10/10 because the first game is one of my all time favourite.

I don't factor the price into the review score. The price changes over time but the game remains the same. And someday the price will drop a lot. It's good for reviews to mention the price and if the reviewer feels it's worth the launch price or mention what their biting point is or how much they think it is worth. I just don't think it should have any effect to the score itself unless they plan to update those reviews later down the road. If the price has any effect towards the score, then it's like saying only free games or day 1 Plus/GamePass games are worthy of receiving a 10/10

Re: The Witcher 4 Will Kick Off a Multi-Game Saga, Says CD Projekt RED

Beeeee-AHH-eer

I'm looking forward to seeing it one day. But I hope they learnt their lessons after Cyberpunk. Hope consumers have learnt their lessons too and not rush to pre-order. Wait until there the console gameplay videos & reviews are out at the least.

I'm sure they will do a good job as they have plenty of experiences with Witcher games before so it should have a smoother development than Cyberpunk which was brand new. But they shouldn't let that Witcher 3 success get to their heads as if they are invincible and just focus on making a great working game. Repair the damage Cyberpunk has caused and don't be showing it off too early either or they will see angry fans. Delays should be expected too
