For me Odyssey is the better game when it comes to the gameplay and using the bow. But I prefered Origins for it's setting and story. Both of those are much better than Valhalla imo.
Just wish they made AC like they used to. As much as i enjoy these open world ACs, they feel like they could have been their own standalone warrior games.
I think it would ruin it for me. Really hated it in Zelda BotW and I really love Zelda games. There was a couple things that I disliked about the game and the stanima bar was one of them so I was quick to abandon the game for Horizon Zero Dawn instead. Even in Shadow of the Colossus it did my head in
I miss the old E3. The last good one I can remember is when Final Fantasy VII Remake was revealled.
E3 has gotten so stale that MS and Sony threw in a lot of filler. Reshowing things to death that the whole show was becoming so stale. And it felt like only Ubisoft was giving us a good show.
It used to feel like a second Christmas and my favourite time of the year. Used to just sit and read all the gaming news while rewatching trailers. But those days are long gone.
I think they just need to focus on giving us a great show when they are ready to. These days the E3 shows feels like they have to just shove stuff in there just for the sake of making an E3. A lot of surprise drops have actually been more exciting now than those past lot of years of E3. So I would rather they all just focus on their own thing on their own time.
I like the idea of them trying something new. Love the 2D games and some 3D games. But open world, it will be interesting to see how it is when it's finished. But that's the second video now that hasn't impressed me. The fight doesn't look exciting and in the last video he didn't seem to be running fast enough for such a big open world.
The thumbnail that is. The gameplay looks terrible.
It looks like a tech demo using Death Stranding as a playground. The game is full of this then this calls for a long delay and add the Chao Gardens if it's not already in it
I think a lot of Sony's IP are very interesting universe that shouldn't be locked to just gaming. Gaming should be the main focus though. But they can reach out to a whole new audience that can enjoy these stories too.
I really enjoyed the Uncharted movie. It's not as good as the games but the movie was very entertaining and it puts me in the mood to play the games again. It would be nice to see them finding more success from their IP and maybe build their own theme park with them someday. Imagine having a theme park for Horizon.
Even if us gaming fans don't like the series or movies, people that never played them before can enjoy them. Nothing changes for gamers but if you enjoy their shows/movies then it's a bonus win
The only mobile games I would like is with a new PSP/Vita
I wouldn't say no entirely if they were proper story driven games like what the PSP and Vita had. Can't see myself buying them though, especially at full price so a PS+ app would be needed.
Whichever company they decide to go with, the Titanfall ip would be good for Sony. It's the closest shooter to CoD and it's not like EA is doing anything with it. MS won't need it after the Activision deal goes through and Sony could use it to be competitive against CoD
Don't need them to enjoy some old classics. Especially if it's a game i really loved back in the day. Having trophies would help encourage me to put other games on hold and boot the game up sooner so it's not sitting in my waiting to play list
I agree with it. As much as I'd like to see the games on the service, I don't think it would make any sense for them and I certainly don't want them to deteriorate their games. They should stick to doing what they are best at and keep making those amazing games just as Nintendo should continue to do too. MS however, while some can be really good games, they aren't on that same level.
But MS have the pockets to take the hit. It's just penny in a jar for them. Look what they did with Halo, they tried to release it in a poor state and the backlash caused them to delay it. They launched the MP in an early access and then after that launched the campaign as it's own download (empty disc for physical), and it still lacks the coop. Compare that to the past games. And then there is Forza, locking the early access behind a paywall to sucker more money out of people from hype. 12 hours for early access should be enough, but they went 4 days and it caused players to lose out that weekend unless they pay up.
Sony shines best with the single player and if they added those to the service at launch, they will only end up hurting themselves. MS will keep paying up for now but give it time and they will start losing the quality even more. For now they will keep taking the hit on their own titles while they grow the service
I think somewhere in the first half of next year. They have Forspoken this year so they wouldn't want to release both games so close to each other. We should be due a FF7 Remake part 2 game so maybe they could save that for holiday 2023 or sometime in 2024
I thought the game was good at first but then after a while when we ended up at the home-base, it started to go downhill. It was becoming the next Destiny-alike game. Marvel Avengers had that same problem when we ended up in the Helicarrier.
Another problem with the game is that it's just not as fun to play alone. Last time i played (been a good while ago now), matchmaking was broken. Nobody would join to help and i needed friends to play with. When I joined others, they had lower tiers but I wanted to keep pushing mine up.
I wish they would just focus on making a decent story game instead of trying to be the next Destiny clone
If there is any chance Sony would acquire Square Enix, I would have liked Sony to have bought Tomb Raider. But I can't help but think maybe Tomb Raider could only be sold if someone bought the other games and none of them match Sonys quality
Deus Ex looks poor compared to Cyberpunk. Really enjoyed Human Revolution but Mankind Divided felt dull. Sleeping Dog is no match to GTA and if Sony wanted another game like that of their own, why not just bring back The Getaway. They have Uncharted so is it worth taking on developers and IPs they don't need/want just to get Tomb Raider? Not at all so selling them off to Embracer Group does seem to open the doors to acquire SE a bit easier.
I wouldn't read too much into the streaming games. I use that feature myself too but only to earn an easy achievement for the big Bing rewards points and then I stop using it until the next.
I love having remakes of popular games. It's great getting another chance to enjoy them again or play something I missed. While I could boot up the orginal version, it's nice to have the option of playing a newer made version for modern consoles.
I don't want them holding back on newer games though but if a remake is being done to give developers a job as they wait for the next project then I welcome it. A lot of older games were better made than newer ones we get today. New ones are released broken, open world is too big with a lot of filler, mtx, online only, etc. The older games had more heart put into them while newer ones are more of a money grab.
Look at GTA for example, the older games were so much fun and I enjoyed messing around just to make the police chase, use cheat codes. But the newer games were more about just playing the story, didn't want those police chasing, no cheat codes, and a money grabbing online mode.
Love the game and it was my GoTY. But time to move onto something new. Usuaully I would love a sequel and I wouldn't say no if they decided to make one, but I don't think it would hold up as good as everything about that game is already perfect and should be left as it is so it's better to make something new.
I think Deviation Games will be the next. Especially after expanding with a Canadian studio. It just sounds like Sony could have acquired them and helped fund that.
I hope it's true but I don't believe the things Jeff Grubb says. If there is any chance Sony is working on this, then I hope they are also working on Vita games too.
It's better for them not to announce anything publicly because there's no guarantee it will happen. And people will keep asking for updates on the progress for years to come. If they decided it wasn't working out and had to scrap the idea, then there will surely be a backlash over it.
It would be nice to have BC for all generations. It will be expensive but it would also make them appear more consumer friendly and give people more confidence to buy games from them knowing they will be safe. Right now MS is looking like the good guys as people feel confident their games will always carry over to the next platform. Would also be a good help with their service too and get people to keep paying for it.
For PS1 and PS2 games, it would be nice if they could do an external Disc drive to read those discs. If it couldn't run the games then at least allow us downlaod them and use the disc the same as PS4&5 games.
I hope we see the Vita support later down the road. Maybe it just needs a bit more time to sort out the Vita features. Still pretty sweet having PS1 and PSP so that's a start. Now just need to see what games we will get
Not a big borderlands fan but we got most of them from PS+ so I'm going to wait until then. If that doesn't happen then I'd buy it cheap eventually. For now I'm too busy with other games and still enjoying HFW too much to think about anything else.
Really enjoyed the movie and can't wait to watch it again in 4K. I still don't like the actor choices but they played the role well so I wouldn't mind seeing them return for a sequel. Better to not think too much of the games and treat the movie as it's own thing. The games will always be better but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the movie too.
I don't think she knows anything about it. More like she knows Sony is planning something and probably assumed Spartacus was already announced. There's been a lot of talk about Spartacus that makes it sound like it's the real thing and she's on team Xbox so probably isn't following the PS news so closely.
Didn't have any excitement for this game so I was expecting that score for the max. It looked interesting to watch for a while but not interesting enough for me to buy. Seemed like a game I'd have only played if it was on PS+.
The only thing I'm going to miss from Bethesda on PS is Elder Scrolls and maybe Wolfenstein. Everything else they make don't look that exciting
Big Potter fan here so I was already sold before the State of Play but after watching that I'm dying to play it and I need it now! It's the game I've been wanting for a long time!
@LilianaQuinn83 I always thought the reason we haven't seen anymore is because EA have the phone game printing gold for them. So maybe they don't want another console game as it won't make money like the phone game does. They made their own Simpsons Game after Hit & Run and it wasn't as good so they wouldnt want to work with Activsion as that would be like saying Vivendi Games (now Activision) made the better game and opening those doors for them to make a sequel. They know Hit & Run is more popular than their own. They didn't even release their own game into the EA vault as far as I know so I think they are just trying to keep the games hidden to themselves so it doesn't hurt their phone money.
That's just my guess anyway but now that Disney owns it, maybe they can work on new deals.
Really loved Hit & Run. It's my favourite Simpsons game and the only one i want to see return more than anything. Really enjoyed The Simpsons Game (EAs game) too and would love to see that on PS4&5 also.
Haven't got to see it yet but I'm looking forward to it. Not expecting it to be anywhere as good as the games but hopefully still enjoyable enough to be it's own thing and as a reminder how great the games are.
I just wish they didn't have Tom Holland or Mark Wahlberg as they are better known for other movies. When I look at Tom I see Spider-Man. I just wish they picked actors that are less known for something so big and remember him as that's the guy that played Nathan Drake in Uncharted.
I think it would be good to see more Uncharted movies going forward the same as we see Tomb Raider but stick with better actor choices that are more suited to the role. They don't need to look like Drake in the game, just look and feel like it's Drake in the movie without thinking that's Spider-Man
If Sony decided it's time to shut the stores down and use Nintendo as the perfect opportunity to do so, I just hope that they will allow us to re-download our games for many years to come. Should this also come to an end, then adding the games to Spartacus or PS Now would be a great way to save them.
Make a Lite service, one that can run the licenses we have purchased so they aren't locked behind a paywall. And the paying service to get access to all or most games. Before removing the feature that allows us to re-download the games, they should use that time to try get as many 3rd party developers/publishers to agree to allow their games onto the service and remain there for a long long time, even if they were to go out of business.
I don't think I will. But if I do then I might do it on a throwaway account. I think i downloaded the closed beta test and then when I opened it, it asked me for a Square Enix ID to sign up so I deleted it.
After going through such a hassle with Final Fantasy XIV trying to play the trial and being locked out from it due to my Square Enix ID being used for the beta test for PS3, it has put me off from using a Square Enix ID as I want to see how things go with FFXIV first (too long of a story to re-type it all up).
To keep it short, I just don't want to tie a new Square Enix ID to my PSN after going through such a hassle to have it removed until I decide what to do about Final Fantasy first
I think a Final Fantasy IX remake will happen for it's own 25th anniversary. And I also think it's possible Final Fantasy VIII could get the same a year before it. Both of them having the same kind of remake 7 has received only made into one game instead being broken up into parts as 7 is taking quite some time to complete
@BritneyfR_ee I want them too! Most importantly with SE as long as it's still multiplatform. They make really good Switch games too. Would really love to have Sega+Atlus safe also for Persona.
Hypothetically speaking, if Microsoft bought Sega, what would that mean for Atlus? Would Atlus have a say in the acquisition, would they be allowed to refuse or be given a choice to buy their way out or be sold to another, or would they be owned by Microsoft without choice but can be independent and continue to release their games on PS and Nintendo?
1) Resistance 2) KIllzone 3) PS Home (thanks for the reminder!) 4) Soul Sacrifice 5) Ratchet Kart (all PlayStation characters like Mario Kart) 6) PlayStation fighting 7) Open world racer
I agree Sony did overpay but I also think they made themselves a good investment for the long run. A lot of shooters have failed to reach CoD levels. Titanfall is the closest thing to having another CoD-alike game and look how well that turned out. Destiny is big even if most of us here don't like it or hate the decisions made for it. It's one of those games you can hate and yet you can't stop playing or keep coming back to. Sony has secured it so they will make good money from all platforms going forward and they don't need to worry about another company snatching them up.
We all know Bungie for making Halo so their name alone will carry success. Whatever they make in the future, fans will run to it because of Bungie alone. And Sony can make all the TV shows and movies out of Destiny. They also get experiences from them that could help them with other games.
Not interested in live service games but I think it's great to see Sony being interested in making more multiplayer games and those live service games means the games can live on longer.
I see people saying from time to time they aren't interested in games like Spider-Man or any other single player game Sony makes. So those live service games would be great to attract them to PlayStation. I wouldn't mind a few multiplayer games but single player is what I want more. Maybe some of those acquisitions we are waiting to hear about could make multiplayer or single player games of their own so there will be no shortage of both.
I'm not looking forward to finding out who's buying who. Really hate all this and I really hope Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider, Persona and most of Bandai Namco games remain on PlayStation. Would be heartbreaking to see PlayStation losing them. I'd play where the games are but PlayStation is where I want to play them.
If anyone was to buy out Sega, I hope Sega could sell Atlus to Sony and then the rest of Sega could go to Nintendo. Sonic feels like he blongs with Nintendo as that's the closest platform to a Sega console but Persona should be with PlayStation.
But anyway, enough of that. Tomorrow is the State of Play for ..
One more thing. If Microsoft was to buy out Take Two and got GTA, maybe Sony could consider bringing back The Getaway. Assuming they ended up acquiring Square Enix, maybe bring back Sleeping Dogs
I have a bad feeling CD Projekt RED could end up being a target soon enough. Placing my bets on MS being the one that acquires them. With Witcher 2 being on the 360 but not PS3 and the marketing rights to Cyberpunk 2077, it feels like they are closer to MS
It feels like a weird acquisition like they wasted their money which could have been better spent elsewhere. But I think it's good to allow the games remain multiplatform. It would mean Sony gained a good studio that knows how to make some great shooters that have better chances of reaching CoD numbers. And it means easy money rolling in without worrying about MS snatching them away.
I think it will be very good for TV series and movies too and those new fans might take an interest in the games. Maybe even bring old fans back. I've never played World of Warcraft before but I've been tempted to after watching the Warcraft movie. So maybe the TV series and movies could have that same effect. No matter what we think about the game and the descisions they made, it's a very interesting universe with fascinating lore.
I hope MS allows Activision and Bethesda games that have always been on PlayStation to remain multiplatform too.
Not a big fan of racing games but I might give it a watch anyway. Last GT I played was 5 and thought it was interesting. Would prefer to have a new Driveclub with an open world maybe for a racer.
Was expecting to see the State of Play to be mostly focused around Horizon Forbidden West with Sifu and GT7 also included but not one for just GT7 on it's own. Will see how it the game looks and maybe it can tempt me to get another GT.
Got the £10 upgrade. Would have really liked to get the physical edition for my collection though but that price is too high for something I already have so I did the upgrade.
Not the first time Sony has repeated games. I can't recall the names at the moment but I remember it happening a few times. One I remember is Limbo. We were given the game on PS3 and then again for PS4. Sony used a different generation platform to treat the game as it's seperate game so even though we had Limbo once, they give us the PS4 version as if it's a new game instead of a repeat.
And now they are using this standalone to be it's own thing that's seperate to what we had from the Handsome Collection.
If they are downgrading PS+, maybe it's a sign it's to make Spartacus look more attractive. Look what happened to Games with Gold, it used to look a lot better than what it is now. And now these days you see people hating on the GwG but they are happy to give it a pass because they can play something else on GamePass instead to make up for it. So what if Sony is looking to do the same thing, give us a decent month every now and again but try to downgrade it so that we want Spartacus more
After going through my collection, these are my top favourite games in order
1) Persona 4 Golden 2) Soul Sacrifice Delta 3) Soul Sacrifice (original) 4) Killzone Mercenary (Best shooter for Vita!) 5) Unchated Golden Abyss 6) Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation 7) Freedom Wars 8) Ratchet & Clank Trilogy 9) Sly Cooper trilogy 10) Tales of Heats R 11) Jak and Daxter Trilogy 12) LittleBigPlanet (Feels perfect in handheld so better than console) 13) Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster 14) Gravity Rush 15) Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Out of my entire collection, Persona 4 Golden is the only one in the list I want to play over and over and over. I wouldn't mind replaying Uncharted, just don't feel comfortable shooting with the sticks on handheld.
Currently playing Soul Sacrifice Delta but I missed my chance of getting some help before the servers closed due to forgetting to play over a few weekends and now I need to do the hardest Pacts myself. lol

There's been a lot of talk about Spartacus that makes it sound like it's the real thing and she's on team Xbox so probably isn't following the PS news so closely.
Re: Ghostwire: Tokyo (PS5) - Not the Bethesda Swansong We Hoped For
Didn't have any excitement for this game so I was expecting that score for the max.
Re: Poll: Will You Buy Hogwarts Legacy?
Big Potter fan here so I was already sold before the State of Play but after watching that I'm dying to play it and I need it now! It's the game I've been wanting for a long time!
Re: Best The Simpsons Games
Re: Best The Simpsons Games
Really loved Hit & Run. It's my favourite Simpsons game and the only one i want to see return more than anything. Really enjoyed The Simpsons Game (EAs game) too and would love to see that on PS4&5 also.
Re: Here's Your First Look at PS5's Slick PSVR2 Headset
Beautiful! Just beautiful
Re: Tom Holland's Uncharted Movie Looking Like a Box Office Hit
They don't need to look like Drake in the game, just look and feel like it's Drake in the movie without thinking that's Spider-Man
Re: Could PS3, PS Vita Closures Be on the Cards After Wii U, 3DS Announcements?
Re: Babylon's Fall Demo Makes or Breaks on PS5, PS4 Later This Month
I don't think I will. But if I do then I might do it on a throwaway account. I think i downloaded the closed beta test and then when I opened it, it asked me for a Square Enix ID to sign up so I deleted it.
After going through such a hassle with Final Fantasy XIV trying to play the trial and being locked out from it due to my Square Enix ID being used for the beta test for PS3, it has put me off from using a Square Enix ID as I want to see how things go with FFXIV first (too long of a story to re-type it all up).
To keep it short, I just don't want to tie a new Square Enix ID to my PSN after going through such a hassle to have it removed until I decide what to do about Final Fantasy first
Re: Rumour: Final Fantasy 9 Remake, Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster, and Many More Could Be Real After All
I think a Final Fantasy IX remake will happen for it's own 25th anniversary. And I also think it's possible Final Fantasy VIII could get the same a year before it. Both of them having the same kind of remake 7 has received only made into one game instead being broken up into parts as 7 is taking quite some time to complete
Re: Sony More Likely Than Microsoft to Acquire a Japanese Game Company, Analyst Explains
@BritneyfR_ee I want them too! Most importantly with SE as long as it's still multiplatform. They make really good Switch games too. Would really love to have Sega+Atlus safe also for Persona.
Re: Sony More Likely Than Microsoft to Acquire a Japanese Game Company, Analyst Explains
Re: Talking Point: What PS5, PS4 Live Service Games from Sony Do You Want?
1) Resistance
2) KIllzone
3) PS Home (thanks for the reminder!)
4) Soul Sacrifice
5) Ratchet Kart (all PlayStation characters like Mario Kart)
6) PlayStation fighting
7) Open world racer
Re: Sony 'Vastly Overpaid' in 'Desperation' for Bungie, Says Outspoken Analyst Michael Pachter
Re: Sony Plans to Launch 10 PS5, PS4 Live Service Games by March 2026
Not interested in live service games but I think it's great to see Sony being interested in making more multiplayer games and those live service games means the games can live on longer.
I see people saying from time to time they aren't interested in games like Spider-Man or any other single player game Sony makes. So those live service games would be great to attract them to PlayStation. I wouldn't mind a few multiplayer games but single player is what I want more. Maybe some of those acquisitions we are waiting to hear about could make multiplayer or single player games of their own so there will be no shortage of both.
Re: Geoff Keighley Hints at More Gaming Acquisitions in 2022
I'm not looking forward to finding out who's buying who.
Re: PlayStation Boss Jim Ryan Says You Should Expect More Acquisitions
I have a bad feeling CD Projekt RED could end up being a target soon enough. Placing my bets on MS being the one that acquires them. With Witcher 2 being on the 360 but not PS3 and the marketing rights to Cyberpunk 2077, it feels like they are closer to MS
Re: Reaction: Sony's Bungie Buyout Means Little for PS5, PS4 Fans Right Now
It feels like a weird acquisition like they wasted their money which could have been better spent elsewhere.
Re: Tales of Arise Gets an Awesome Animated Trailer Months After Release
One of my top 2 favourite games last year. Couldn't decide between that and Ratchet and Clank to be my GoTY.
Next time I do another playthrough, I'll be playing the PS4 version for a second platinum. Highly recommend playing!
Really love that animated trailer. Really hope to see an anime of it on the way
Re: Square Enix Reveals New Final Fantasy VII Anniversary Logos, Hopes You're 'Ready for the Year Ahead'
"has teased "other" Final Fantasy VII projects — so brand new announcements might be in the pipeline."
I hope one of those is Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Remake
Re: State of Play Announced, Featuring 30 Minutes of Gran Turismo 7 PS5 Gameplay
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection?
Got the £10 upgrade. Would have really liked to get the physical edition for my collection though but that price is too high for something I already have so I did the upgrade.
Really looking forward to playing them again!
Re: We Need to Talk About Tiny Tina on PS Plus
So what if Sony is looking to do the same thing, give us a decent month every now and again but try to downgrade it so that we want Spartacus more
Re: Poll: We Want You to Rate Your Favourite PS Vita Games
After going through my collection, these are my top favourite games in order
1) Persona 4 Golden
2) Soul Sacrifice Delta
3) Soul Sacrifice (original)
4) Killzone Mercenary (Best shooter for Vita!)
5) Unchated Golden Abyss
6) Assassin’s Creed 3 Liberation
7) Freedom Wars
8) Ratchet & Clank Trilogy
9) Sly Cooper trilogy
10) Tales of Heats R
11) Jak and Daxter Trilogy
12) LittleBigPlanet (Feels perfect in handheld so better than console)
13) Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster
14) Gravity Rush
15) Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Out of my entire collection, Persona 4 Golden is the only one in the list I want to play over and over and over. I wouldn't mind replaying Uncharted, just don't feel comfortable shooting with the sticks on handheld.
Currently playing Soul Sacrifice Delta but I missed my chance of getting some help before the servers closed due to forgetting to play over a few weekends and now I need to do the hardest Pacts myself. lol
Re: Poll: We Want You to Rate Your Favourite PS Vita Games
10 stars for Teddie!
