I was actually hoping this would hit consoles/PC because it wasn't half bad for a BR. Mobile constraints didn't do it any favors unfortunately.

@theheadofabroom Yeah I would consider the graphics on the PS2 port very comparable to the GameCube for sure. And I agree the art style was it's strongest point by far! Just seems like this remake's reception was kinda set in stone, even if it launched in this post-patched state.

So the average-at-best shooter's remake is now average-at-best now that it's mostly true to the original? Shocking.

Another month that I'm glad I'm not subbed to Premium. Maybe in a year there'll be a decent vintage library there to warrant it.

The feature to replace sticks is good for when it starts to drift I suppose 🤷‍♂️

Perhaps this game is like getting a new kitten. It's so innocent and adorable you want to spend all of your time pampering it. Then by the time it's a full grown smelly adult that has overstayed it's welcome, you see it for what it really is 😂

I...totally forgot about Killzone Shadow Fall, and it was one of my first PS4 games 😔 I should revisit it.

I'm glad I stuck with it, because it actually provides good plot explanation as to why Wesker doesn't look or act like the famous VG villain, and how he's even there at all post-RE 5. It has campy bits and scenes that make little sense, but overall this is my favorite live action representation to date.

This seems broken? I can't select Crisis Core five times over. Anyway, that's obviously my #1, but Callisto and Hogwarts are up there too.

This is too bad, inFamous is always a joy to revisit and Second Son in particular set a standard for PS4 visuals and gameplay. Hopefully PS5 will see a new one some day but it's sounding pretty doubtful.

I'm leaning towards watching Dogma, as the only thing that would pull me towards the FFVII stream is if a Crisis Core remake or remaster is somehow happening (but extremely doubtful).

This is hilarious, and now seeing Acquire is involved this became one of my most anticipated titles of the year.

What does Open World even mean in this context? The camera is still facing the ground and the previous games didn't heavily limit where you roamed?

So any hope for transferring content from PS3 to PSP is also likely kiboshed. I suppose alternate methods will have to do..."yargh"

This game is such a gem. I especially loved the combat system involving climbing larger enemies and throwing smaller ones. It still bums me out that Dragon's Dogma Online didn't even get localized before the servers were shut down 😣

No longer subbed to Plus, but when that Vintage library gets a major buff I could be convinced to go for the top tier.

I had a weirdly great time playing this on PC after remapping the controls to be more like Dark Souls. Despite the jank, this is one of the few open world games that truly feels like an adventure as you get to grips with its unique systems.

I was very hyped at the prospects of this game on announcement. It's been so long it fell off my radar, but here's hoping it was all worth it. Square Enix's quality is consistently inconsistent.

@buckp25 You'd need to play the other three technically (including Travis Strikes Again). That being said, the story is whacky anyways, so playing the others will mainly make some references and cameos more appreciated.

Glad to hear news on this! Despite it's flaws I had some fun with the original, so these QOL changes look very welcome.

I hope there's a future for this franchise. The character editor it has is surprisingly in-depth (I've been playing as Lupin III astride a Chocobo) and being able to roam the course is a fun bonus.

If they add PS2 and PSP titles with online support (Resident Evil Outbreak and Monster Hunter for example), I would sub to premium no question.

Any word on if they plan to add a toggle for the dualsense's Home button functionality when pressed vs held? This continues to throw me off to this day.

Man this is a bummer 😕 Doesn't sound like the best experience for $60, but one to keep an eye on for a sale. It probably would have benefitted most for being a linear game with more focused combat mechanics.

Yeah this game will be Slytherin its way onto my shelf on day one.

One of my friends also playing via Steam encounters a bug where most enemies and NPCs are invisible. Sounds like PS5 is on the better side of technical issues lol

Got an 11, with two definite guesses. Works for me.

My only annoyance is the PS4 version keeps reappearing on my dashboard each time I power on the console (but that's not specific to this game, but seemingly all free PS5 upgrades I have for disc games).

Downloaded this and booted over my lunch break - big mistake. It was very difficult to put back down. Excited to see/play more.
