Dragon Age Origins is in my top 3 games of all time and I enjoyed 2 and inquisition but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned for this game.

I really hope it's good.

I can't wait to play it but that won't be until they release a physical edition 😔 they've made plenty of money so there's no excuse now.

@naruball The worst part is, you know with 100% certainty that if he said that he hated it they would be celebrating and using it as ammunition.

In reality it doesn't matter if he liked it or not (although I'm happy he did) the series has had multiple creators and is no longer his vision alone. His opinion means as much as anyone else's but it does help support the argument of this being very much a FF title through and through.

Can't wait for FF17 so we can repeat these discussions like we have since FF9 or even FF7 ad nauseum 😄

@Cordyceps If anyone's on Copium, it's people like you and NES in every comments section related to XVI grasping for any "proof" that the game is just as big of a turd that you claim it is. When in reality it's sold and been recieved very well by the majority of people.

Always seems to be the same people in the comments wishing for this games demise. Very sad indeed. Still I'm happy that FF16 is doing well and I look forward to what Square Enix will cook up for the next main installment. I've been taking my time with it myself as I really like to absorb these games and I'm 60% in according to my ps5.

Judging by this, P3 reload and their new project that I've forgotten the name of, Persona 6 is probably still many years away.

Yoko Taro is brilliant. I've loved his work since the first Drakengard and I'm really looking forward to whatever he does next.

Ehhh, between not having a physical edition and being so long... I might have to pass on this one. At least for now, I just don't have the time.

I love bishoujo figures but this one was still odd to me due to there already being plenty of women they could've done. Triss, Yen, Phillipa etc rather than making Geralt a woman but at least they're doing Ciri. I'll probably just wait for that one.

I always struggle to rank XIV in particular because I love it like I do all of them and it's very much a great Final Fantasy but it's just so difficult to rate it comparing to the others due to it being an MMO.

Glad to see its doing well, not that there was really any doubt. Every Mainline Final Fantasy has reviewed and sold very well, even the supposedly "hated" 13 and 15.

I will definitely be picking this up. The artstyle is one of the standout things about this game and Final Fantasy in general.

Absolutely love it so far, it reminds me of Final Fantasy's 1-6 with the warring nations and heavy focus on crystals. It's like classic Final Fantasy but with action combat and its wonderful.

A Final Fantasy that's perfect for old fans like myself! (Also feels very similar to the Ivalice games, especially in artstyle)

Just give me the game early! Problem solved.

Collectors editions without discs is driving me up the wall. Ah well, looks like it's the standard for me this time. Saves me money I suppose 🤷

@NinjaNicky No mainline Final Fantasy is connected. They're all seperate games with their own characters and stories so you can jump in wherever you like and go from there

@NEStalgia OK so I've gotta ask, what is Final Fantasy to you? I've personally enjoyed every main installment and consider them all to be "Final Fantasy" 1,3 and 5 being my least favourite and 7,15 and 9 being my most favourite.

Final Fantasy has been Sci-fi fantasy like 7,8,13,15.
It's been more traditional like 1,2,3,5,9 etc
We've had ivalice games like 12 and Tactics.
It's been turn based like 1-10 and also action based like 15 and 7R or MMOesque like 12 or straight MMO's like 11 and 14.

Final Fantasy has been all these things so why can't it also be a dark fantasy, Action rpg? We've heard the game opens up so I'm still willing to stand by it being an rpg until I see otherwise.

@KaijuKaiser I wish more older fans understood this and could be more open to the evolution of the Final Fantasy series. I can't think of a single long running series like FF that has stayed the same. Resident Evil didn't keep tank controls and fixed cameras forever and Assassin's Creed is completely different to how it used to be.

A game with 16 main installments and many spin offs isn't going to stay turn based forever. Dragon Quest is the only one I can think of but it honestly suffers from it's refusal to do something new and different imo.

@Caveman49 Most FF names are oddly weather related like Cloud, Squall, Lightning, Snow and other odd names like Hope, Quistis, Zell, Yuffie, Locke, Kain, Bartz etc however we do get the odd few normal names like Cid who is a recurring character or Clare and now Clive so there is a lot of variation.

Looks cool and I do like mechs but I don't think I'll be getting this, at least not immediately. It just doesn't grab me like Kings Field-Elden Ring does.

It looks so good that it would be very disappointing to me if it is exclusive. I love Atlus RPG's and a medieval fantasy shin megami tensei sounds like a dream come true but I still wouldn't buy an xbox for it and I think it would be a bad move by Atlus because the audience for jrpgs just isn't there for Xbox.

@KaijuKaiser Right? So much to look forward to with 7 round the corner and heavy rumors for a remake of 9 too. 7 is special to me so I have a bias towards it and will probably prefer it in the end but 16 is shaping up to be something really special.

Why do people get so worked up about swearing? It's so bizzare. It's not exactly new to Final Fantasy either, Barret and Cid swore like troopers.

It's perfect, absolutely perfect, down to the last minute detail.

The gameplay is so fun and I can't wait to see how much it opens up with more abilities and such. It's like Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry and the Witcher combined and I love it so so much.

Holy moly it's actually good!? I didn't expect to see something that looks this amazing. Can never get enough star wars so I'll be getting this for sure.

I'm looking forward to this. I like both the new and old Assassin's Creeds but the former have always let me down on some of the key aspects I loved about AC.

I hope Mirage isn't just a one off though and that they combine the elements of both new and old for future entries and create something special.

Can't wait to get home and finally play it! Good to know that progress carries over.

@SirMarshmallow Why do you care so much about how people consume media? You buy digital? Cool. I buy physical and that's fine too. It's having options that matters.

@ATaco I don't know if it's that certain. We still get DVD's and CD's and even records to this day so it would be bizzare to eliminate physical games entirely. All making games digital would do is push people over to PC.

Looks like this is no longer a day 1 buy for me then, plenty more games to play anyways.

Disappointed in Tactics but can't wait for P3 as its my personal favourite. I hope they keep the darker tone that 3 had, rather than try to make it more like 4 and 5.
