Ai has its uses so I'm more concerned about their focus on multiplayer.

I've seen them mention "adding multiplayer to enhance the single player experience" what does that even mean?

Can't wait, hoping to spend at least 200 hours on it. I spent over 100 on the first part which was significantly smaller so can't wait for this to eat up all my time.

@FatalBubbles That's fair. Amazon, GAME, Square Enix etc. are quite unreliable as far as release day goes (though Amazon have improved) which Is why I order a majority of my games from ShopTo as they often deliver early and have never missed a release date so far.

I definitely see the benefits of Digital as opposed to Physical like game sharing and convenience. For me personally it's all about having the Disc as I hate not physically owning something. All I can hope for is that the option to have one or the other is always on the table as a completely Digital future is a major turn off for me.

@FatalBubbles Not to be rude but ever heard of Amazon? Or a postbox? I've never understood this argument for Digital when deliveries exist. I often get my games delivered days before the actual release date.

I'm more looking forward to Metaphor. It looks like everything I've ever wanted in a new Atlus game.

I hate the idea of 1 hour = £1 or that length = Quality. I'm tired of games being long just for the sake of it. Too much padding and fluff in games these days all because people want to fill their time with mundane repeatable objectives just to feel like they "got their money's worth".

I'd rather have quality than quantity personally. For example, I liked Spider-Man 2 more than the first because it didn't waste my time.

Only 20 comments and there's already 10 different opinions on what a FF should or shouldn't be. The only consistent thing about FF is the inconsistency of its fanbase 😄

I want this game to be good but I'm not too convinced it will be. I'm definitely on the fence with this one.

I kinda hope not for a very personal reason. I quite literally bought the Japanese version just a few days ago so this would be mildly irritating if true. I would also be excited to be able to actually read it in English of course but bitter that I would have to buy it for a second time 😅

@zupertramp I always choose Console over PC solely because they still offer physical media. I buy a lot of games day one and physical is cheaper %99.9 of the time and I love having a shelf full of games.

An all digital future would ruin a big part of gaming for me. I wouldn't want to miss out however so if it happens, then my future gaming will be on PC since my only reason for picking console would be gone.

I don't even see the point in owning a console if they went all digital. I'd just move over to PC the day that happens. No physical, no purchase.

Competition is good but things are starting to get messy. We could end up needing 7 different platforms just to play our favourite games. The future of gaming has never looked more bleak imo.

I'm surprised it hasn't sold more to be honest considering it's positive reception. Still, I'm happy it's doing well enough and I'm excited for the future of the series.

For games as big as Persona, I don't see why this had to go to Limited Run. I hate buying from them but if needs must...

@Kidfried I agree that UK box charts aren't an entirely reliable source for how well a game is doing but I disagree that "few people" buy Physical games. Of course more people buy Digital these days but those articles that spout nonsense like "99% of game sales are digital" include sales of DLC, Digital only Indie Games and Mobile purchases which also renders those articles mostly redundant when comparing Digital vs Physical sales.

I would guess that Digital to Physical if we're talking games that actually release physically is more of like a 70-30 split in favour of Digital. This is a guess as I'm not sure of the actual numbers but it's definitely not 99-1 anyway as people like to spread around.

Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie were my main team so that's enough for me. I'm sure they'll be playable in part 3 anyway.

Can't wait! I'm so delighted that FF7 is getting so much expanded content as its my favourite game of all time so more of it is very much appreciated. Never been happier to be a fan 😁

Dragon Age Origins is in my top 3 games of all time and I enjoyed 2 and inquisition but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned for this game.

This discussion has long since become very tiresome. We'll be having the same discussion again when FF17 comes out... It never ends.

@naruball The worst part is, you know with 100% certainty that if he said that he hated it they would be celebrating and using it as ammunition.

In reality it doesn't matter if he liked it or not (although I'm happy he did) the series has had multiple creators and is no longer his vision alone. His opinion means as much as anyone else's but it does help support the argument of this being very much a FF title through and through.

Can't wait for FF17 so we can repeat these discussions like we have since FF9 or even FF7 ad nauseum 😄

Always seems to be the same people in the comments wishing for this games demise. Very sad indeed. Still I'm happy that FF16 is doing well and I look forward to what Square Enix will cook up for the next main installment. I've been taking my time with it myself as I really like to absorb these games and I'm 60% in according to my ps5.

Judging by this, P3 reload and their new project that I've forgotten the name of, Persona 6 is probably still many years away.

Yoko Taro is brilliant. I've loved his work since the first Drakengard and I'm really looking forward to whatever he does next.

Ehhh, between not having a physical edition and being so long... I might have to pass on this one. At least for now, I just don't have the time.

I love bishoujo figures but this one was still odd to me due to there already being plenty of women they could've done. Triss, Yen, Phillipa etc rather than making Geralt a woman but at least they're doing Ciri. I'll probably just wait for that one.

I always struggle to rank XIV in particular because I love it like I do all of them and it's very much a great Final Fantasy but it's just so difficult to rate it comparing to the others due to it being an MMO.

Glad to see its doing well, not that there was really any doubt. Every Mainline Final Fantasy has reviewed and sold very well, even the supposedly "hated" 13 and 15.

I will definitely be picking this up. The artstyle is one of the standout things about this game and Final Fantasy in general.

Absolutely love it so far, it reminds me of Final Fantasy's 1-6 with the warring nations and heavy focus on crystals. It's like classic Final Fantasy but with action combat and its wonderful.

A Final Fantasy that's perfect for old fans like myself! (Also feels very similar to the Ivalice games, especially in artstyle)
