@MaccaMUFC oh come on, the Xbox showcase is their ONLY showcase this year. Sony have gone for a different approach with more regular but shorter showreel's. I refer the latter approach really but I'll be watching the Xbox one with interest.

Makes me think if other indie games will end up day one Extra and Premium, maybe Little Devil Inside at some point.

What happened to that dinosaur high school game? Not saying I'm a fan but weird how it's all but disappeared since it's initial reveal back in 2020.

It was very good, something for everyone.

My highlight? Stray. Looks like something very different from what I usually play, but that's a compliment. The cat is very cute as well.

I don't know about anyone else, but once the music first hit I thought it was a Last of Us reveal. Possibly the rumoured remake or Factions. Only for a few notes mind.

I have an interest, a good show is a good show irrespective of what it's based on. The Last of Us should be good, Horizon as an anime would be perfect OR a huge budget is required for a live action version. Gran Turismo though, that's...a tad weird lol

People say Sony should stick to games but many on here don't even seem to like these!

Bought the PS5 version in Feb, played it, liked it, dropped it for HFW, came back to it and loving it.

Really good game.

If you're not interested in upcoming third party games or PSVR, then don't watch. It's that simple.

Sony don't do big showcases any more but I think I prefer it this way, more of a steady drop of info and footage over the course of the year rather than one big event. I suspect I'm in the minority though.

I finally managed to complete all sectors but the complete lap? This has proven to be very difficult. May give it another try, right now I'm trying to get all the S Licences.

This is a fantastic game, plenty of ways to earn credits and just enjoy the racing/cars.

Days Gone released on PC about a year after its initial release on PS4. This move isn't without precedent plus I'm not sure it's a big deal, not with the game being available on the new PS Plus Extra service.

I'll be giving this game a go when I upgrade to Extra next month.

@Voltan it does feel perfect for anime. I'd have preferred a big budget Transformers-bothering movie franchise for Horizon but so be it.

Gran Turismo though? That's a strange one, I think they should make it reality style and have people actually trying to complete the licences and missions but maybe that's just me.

Spider-Man was a really good game, Miles a lot of fun and looking forward to and the Wolverine game.

Rather these games than FPSs or pretentious indie games.

@TheArt hi mate, for me both games are as good as each other. 9/10 all the way.

HZD has the better story though, HFW better side quests and characters. Combat just as good in both although the new mounts in HFW are a lot cooler.

Death Stranding was a very interesting gaming experience, elevated to almost greatness by the performances, graphics, music and a very beautiful story.

I love the Last of Us series but I'm not sure about this. Perhaps if pick it up when on sale or if added to the new Plus, even if it's just to see the pretty graphics and experience the gameplay changes. It's not a needed remake but by all accounts, ND have still been able to work on other projects so it's not as if the remake has prevented them from doing anything else.

Buy it or don't. It's up to you.

Wow, a lot of hate for FF VII remake. Not sure why as I thought it was fantastic but perhaps it helps that I never played the original lol.

Reminds me of RE3 remake, a lot of hate for that game came from fans of the original. I didn't play that either so in many ways, I enjoyed the new RE3 almost as much as RE2 remake, my only complaint being that it was too short.

Hipsters never like remakes though, especially when they prove to be better than the original. See it as some kind of personal attack on their childhood memories or something.

It's a strong list and not even complete. Not sure what people were expecting?

I fancied playing Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima again and having the DC versions seals the deal. Will definitely give Returnal a go, already own GotG and Demon's Souls on disc but can't win all the time. Maybe I could sell them now but suspect I won't get much for them.

Slightly disappointed by the Third Party releases BUT we haven't seen all the games yet and I'm sure they'll have some good ones on there.

It's got better games than Game Pass does, that's for damn sure.

@dark_knightmare2 yes, seemed strange to me on a PS site for there to be articles and comments hailing it as a failure (and kind of reveling in it as well) but perhaps they spoke too soon.

I don't think it will get close to the overall sales of Zero Dawn but it should more than make a profit for all concerned and merit a follow-up.

@UltimateOtaku91 yes it is, many were too quick to hail it as a flop.

Hopefully GT 7 will renter the Top 10 at some point as well, it's also a fantastic game.

My 'main' is Cyberpunk whilst my 'starter', 'side dish' and 'dessert' is GT 7.

Both really good games and a treat for the eyes and senses on a PS5.

Will be watching the Cup Final today, don't support either team but as a Spurs fan I'll be rooting for the Reds....for once.

People missed the point. Some of geeks might be interested in buying Three Emblems or Astral Chain etc BUT the vast majority of people that bought a Switch did it for kids or kids friendly games like Mario or glorified mobile games like Animal Crossing. Look at the sales of those games compared to the more 'mature' ones.

Just seems strange to me how many Nintendo fanboys there are on a PS site. Seems you can criticise PS on here but not Nintendo. The only game the latter have that I'd play if released on PS is BotW,, that's it.

Mario Kart? Pah. Unlike a certain other poster, I prefer racing games that are more realistic not the other way round. 😉

What else they got? Nothing for me as I can't stand Pokémon, probably the worst franchise in history. Arms?! Hahaha.

Anyway, enjoy it I guess but this IS a PS site so it's pretty likely you're going to come across some gamers that prefer their consoles over the Switch. Try not to be too offended.

So many great lines, Brooks nailed that role. Why they never brought Hank Scorpio back is beyond me, would've made the perfect villain for The Simpsons Movie instead of yawn Mr Burns.

The Sideshow Bob episodes were great, especially the Cape Fear parody and the reuniting of the Frasier brothers.

@Sakisa I own a PS5 and I don't like this move, just screams laziness on the part of the developer. I didn't see anything in that demo to suggest that Gotham Knights couldn't run on a PS4.

For sure more games should be made for PS5 only but only if by not doing so would compromise the vision of the artists and developers.

Some on here are very keen to see millions of gamers be left behind but only because they are fortunate to have nabbed a PS5.

@RBMango FromSoft are or were seen as niche, whatever the hell that means, not as if HFW was released the week before GTA 6 or something!

I didn't experience many bugs nor other technical issues but I was playing it slowly, so by the time I finished it it had received a number of updates.

I think what some gamers class as a buggy game is different to a few years ago. I think if Skyrim was released now it would be subject to review bombing!

@RBMango I don't think anyone foresaw how big ER would prove to be, probably not even FromSoft themselves!

It didn't seem to be the 'bigger' game at all, rather a nice alternative for anyone not interested in Aloy's new adventure. In an ideal world it would've been released late last year but there's only so many delays gamers can accept.

I think this is a case where hindsight is a wonderful thing so accusations of arrogance on Sony's behalf, are quite baffling and incorrect.

It will have legs, long legs, and may not sell as many copies as Zero Dawn but it will more than make it's money back and then some.

What kind of message would that have sent? Pushing it's release back due to another game? Might have made it look as if they didn't have any confidence in their product, which wouldn't have been a good look.

Over time it will sell millions upon millions of copies. It's a fantastic game after all.

I bought Resi 8 last month, after swearing that I wouldn't buy any more games due to purchasing HFW and GT 7 within a couple of weeks!

Interesting lists. Really does seem as if a lot of PS4 players are waiting to get a PS5 before buying the two games mentioned above or maybe I have that wrong.

@mucc GT 7 is a fantastic game, it may contain MTX but not once have I felt that in order to progress I need to spend more.

There are a myriad of ways to earn credits. From the Menu races, to Arcade, to the thrilling circuit experiences and more. The 'fuss' made about this game by the so-called gaming community was overblown and frankly embarrassing.

@UltimateOtaku91 Nintendo already exist though, let them do their thing and Sony do their's.

It's not a failure if HZD 'only' sells around 20m copies for example, a brand new IP that hasn't been around for decades. That's a success.

Yes, Sony should look to expand upon the variety of their games but NOT at the expense of what brought millions to their platform in the first place: big budget AAA single player games.

Nintendo aren't really aiming at the same crowd as Sony/MS, at least not as the main console but in support of. Also, if you're not interested in Mario games and Animal Crossing and Zelda why own a Nintendo in the first place?
