@trev666 I think half the fun of playing games for some people is paying full price for a broken game to then moan about it online. No one cares about you complaing about a game 6 months after release online.

I'll likely just sport the default suit unless there is a reason to change to a different suit when I do finally get to play the game. Just because it looks cool is not a reason for me.

@Fartingale If another company wants to pay big bucks to advertise a game that is coming to another console at the same time as all the others then let them. Unless you pre-order the moment it is announced on another console and can't cancel said pre-order so you can pre-order on your console of choice I don't see the problem.

It's Sony's attempt to upsell Switch owners to a PS5 while putting a few extra pennies in the bank. The Last of Us Part 3 will not be on the Switch 2 so these people can sleep easy tonight knowing this.

@Bamila After 87 years in development it needed a few more to add another A or two to the title. It would then lead to COD and Fortnite shutting down as they couldn't compete.

I think there is an extra letter at the end of player in the headline that needs removing.

@get2sammyb Just a strange comparison of stats. Was God of War faster than Helldivers 2 over 10 weeks? God of War was twice the price and available on half the platforms.
This shows that word of mouth, competitive pricing and the PC market help boost sales dramatically. Imagine a lower price known franchise game coming out day and date on PC. I can imagine we will get more of this in future for the live service games Sony has planned.

So God of War sold less than 1 million in weeks 11 and 12?

I can't get into Hades. Played it a few times and it looks pretty, sounds good and plays well but the gameplay is just like banging your head against a brick wall until it falls over. Can't get into Dead Cells either. As these are two of the most popular roguelikes I am guessing they are not for me unless anyone has any other recommendations to get me into them?

If that is the worst thing about the game then I am sure most people will get over it.

That is one way to make people buy the PC version. Make the console version unplayable.

@IndoorEnthusiast Sadly I believe they still play Vera Lynn in care homes. She'll be being played even after WW2 is a second hand memory for everyone there. I'd love to be in a care home playing music from the 80s rather than that if I ever end up in one.

Will this support the detachable drive as well to keep cost on the basic unit down or just all in on everything for the hardcore PlayStation devotees?

It won't be long before a game's price tag will get you a 1 year subscription to play the game and then you have to shell out more to keep playing. Granted some games have already done that only they haven't had the option to pay more as they shut down after a year.

@nomither6 I haven't played it but I believe stuff in Helldivers 2 doesn't expire and you can win in game currency so you can play the game whenever and pay nothing more than entry without having to miss out by not paying for a skin before it leaves the store.
Will this information shape the strategy of their impending live service games already announced? We can hope.

Who would have thought that a sensibly priced game would sell so well. Maybe Sony will see the benefit of none AAA games now and we will get some more reasonably priced games from them to fill the schedule.

I want my visual novels at 60fps. I can't read text at 30fps. It gives me a headache.
A fixed frame rate is better than one that aims for higher than it often achieves.

@Zuljaras How is Undying on the deck? Been meaning to give it a go as never played it and played Jericho ages ago on X360 which wasn't a great game but I am partial to the work of Mr Barker.

They clearly walked into a pub and asked a load of drunk people. People who don't play games know Mario and Sonic and probably Pikachu but most of the others not so much.

Most live service games are not for me as I like to run around messing about while going for an objective and in liver service games that gets you killed quickly so I spend a lot of time waiting. I didn't enjoy waiting back when games ran on cassettes and I still don't enjoy waiting now. That's the perk or the current consoles. You don't have to wait if you are playing single player games. Hopefully we will continue to get quality single player games for years to come and let people play Fortnite etc until they are on their deathbeds if they wish.

Kenzan first and maybe Dead Souls as well and then maybe we can move onto Kiwami 3 as long as we still get new games coming.

Useful for getting up to date on the lore while taking a toilet break.

These polls seem to have no real weight as I think the portal one was negative and the same people who bought that will be playing their PS5 Pro on it.

The first half of the headline drew me in and the second half pulled me back out.

So now developers will be targeting PS4, PS5 and PS5 Pro and there will still be no 60fps Bloodborne.

Microtransactions for stuff that can be unlocked via natural play doesn't bother me. If someone wants to pay extra for exactly the same game as someone else then let them. It's a single player game anyway so it doesn't give them an edge over anyone else.

They've got to sell the PS6 version of GTA V before they can release this one. Milk a few more extra pennies out of that one as it's not really sold enough yet.

@Andy22385 If I can't play on the TV in my house then I don't play at all. I play my Switch docked almost all the time. Basically have to wait until everyone else is in bed before I play.

I still don't get why you would pay £500 for a top of the range console then play it on a screen barely bigger than your phone often enough to warrant a purchase.
Might get the PS Portal Pro to go with the PS5 Pro when that releases though!

It's those three people who just wanted to download the tracks that have to pay all that money that I feel sorry for.

You probably get put on some kind of list if you select these types of outfits in games.

I am assuming this guy is not looking at the money angle on Hogwarts vs Squad and is instead looking at someone else's numbers in the successful live service arena and saying they want a slice of that rather than the slice they have with Hogwarts. Greed rather than common sense at play.

Knack 3 would sell 10 copies to every PS5 owner. Why have they not made it yet?
