Not really bothered about the Day One thing....they've delivered such a decent offering (certainly on Extra) that I've had more than enough to never get around to playing.
@Psnfanboy79 Did it come tracked/signed for? If not, and they left it by your front door, then you never received it and you now want a refund.
Or, assuming they just posted it through your letterbox and that the above isn't an option, there's a nasty scratch on the disc that means the game doesn't install and under statutory rights you want to return it for a refund.
Loved the me trilogy first time around, and that was on an Xbox 360 without any of the DLC.
Nearly bought the LE on a sale many times, but contented myself with the expectation it would arrive on Extra sooner or later. So in light of Sony removing some Extra games after fairly short periods and without a great deal of notice, to get this as a permanent addition to the library via Essential is an absolutely brilliant result for me.
Well, damned if I'll be rushed into trying to plough through this in the next month. I was curious to try it sometime, but not desperate. Doubt I'll miss it, even if it doesn't ever reappear.
@themightyant I use Turkey PS store - prices extremely affordable over there... For example,.Horizon Forbidden West currently £18, God of War £33. All playable via your regular UK PSN account too. Even to even make the disc lovers jealous 👍
@LifeGirl couldn't agree less. The PAL versions of Japanese PS1 stuff such as Tekken and Ridge Racer were appalling. Noticeably slower and with large borders top and bottom of the screen. I bought an import PS1 to avoid it, most didn't or couldn't because back then you still had to have a multistandard TV for that to work. Good riddance to those days.
I lucked into a long Premium sub that runs until 2026 thanks to the 'buy a month of Now and loads of PS+' loophole earlier in the year.
For me, the value from Extra has been amazing, but I can't say I would miss Premium at all. And as others have said, there's no way for a subscriber who has some Premium to extend on a discount period and just buy Extra. And the month my premium expires (Jan) there'll be no offers on Extra lol. So either pay full price, or have no sub at all until the next BF and stack then. Weird.
Poor effort. Also stupid. Why would this encourage anyone to purchase their future attempts if this is their attitude towards a game which is still nowhere near fixed? Certainly my first and last purchase of this series.
Compare with the likes of studios such as IO Interactive, Insomniac and Motion Twin for post-launch support and they're just an embarrassment. Scummy.
Without Extra i would have grabbed a couple of these via my Turkey account, especially Tales of Arise for £12 and The Ascent for £6.50, but I just know that's gonna end up on Extra soon. And thanks to that, I have more games than time to play anyway.
@Beerheadgamer82 same here, more than enough great games to play on Extra. Although these particular games aren't trash per se, there's nothing of interest to me.
Nearly bought DQ11 several times. So that alone is a win for me, along with the rest of the Yakuza games, Assassin's Creed and I was curious about The Medium.
Whenever I play my old PS4 Pro, now donated to a good friend, I'm struck by how much faster it is to get around on the Pro. Saving/loading game data, choosing a game, folders, going through options menus.. everything is so much more intuitive.
I hope Sony get somewhere back near it on the PS5 one day, but piecemeal stuff like today's update doesn't leave me very optimistic.
Oh, and almost two years on I still hate the feel of the silly PS shaped central button on the dualsense compared with the simple round one on the DS4.
It was perfection back in 1995. It's perfection now. Very weird that Sony didn't keep on using it. I know it's sort of there in the background on their current Sony studio jingle, but it's hardly the same.

Do people still play that crap? Sounds so last year.
Re: Disney Speedstorm Hits the Brakes, Delayed to 2023 on PS5, PS4

@brazzios_84 That's a shame, I hear he speaks very highly of you.

Re: Tekken 8 Will Flex Its Unreal Engine 5 Muscles at The Game Awards
So long as Nina and Yoshimitsu, my favourites from the original game, are in there I'm happy.
Re: Massive Jurassic World Evolution 2 Expansion Expands Dominion Movie on PS5, PS4
Ah....thought this was a free patch at first like, you know, decent companies offer for their games post-sale.
Should have known better when it's from Frontier. PASS!

I'll wait for the second DLC and the inevitable 'complete' edition.

Re: God of War Ragnarok Update 2.04 Is Available Now, Here Are All the Patch Notes
Why buy on release date? You inevitably get patches over the first month or so that not only bug fix, but usually improve the experience.
Re: Mini Review: Arkanoid: Eternal Battle (PS5) - Retro Revival Can't Overcome Sticker Shock
Love Arkanoid style games, but not at anywhere near this price thanks
Re: Evil West (PS5) - Dumb Vampire Slaying Fun Certainly Doesn't Suck
Seems to have a Zombie Army 4 vibe, which I would never have bought, but enjoyed much much more than I expected when it came to Plus!

Re: Disgruntled PS Plus Premium Members Can't Downgrade for Black Friday Discount
@Verzion214 "..Also have you got any evidence as to why people signed up for Premium?..."
Due to PS Now loophole, a lot of us got many years of Premium as an almost free upgrade from PS+ when this service was started.

@__jamiie MS definitely screwed you over too when they sold you that poo Series S

Wait for Extra or a very deep sale.

I discovered with band, like many I'm sure, through Death Stranding. This is awful. 40 years is no time.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077, Mass Effect, Ubisoft Games on Sale This Weekend
ME Legendary Edition probably heading to Extra before too long, otherwise I might have been tempted at £14 on Turkey PSN.

Re: Hitman 3's Free PS5, PS4 Freelancer Mode Looks Phenomenal
A gorgeous trilogy, and supported by numerous patches, extra missions, next-gen upgrades, and now this entirely new mode, all for free.
Compare and contrast with a lot of the greedy grubby devs out there and give thanks to IO Interactive.

@riceNpea Yeah she was great in the Equalizer - for anyone reading who hasn't seen it, really worth a watch.

It'll take up exactly zero GB of my drive.
Re: The Witcher Remake Announced, Rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5
@Ward_ting @theMEGAniggle Good news! Played it to death years ago but would do it all again on a proper current gen version.
Re: The Witcher Remake Announced, Rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5
I'd rather have the PS5 Witcher 3 - they promised it ages ago, and seem to have gone suspiciously quiet on it recently.

Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
@jrt87 yeah, this. anyone who does this and can't spot the blurry mess of 30fps either needs a new TV or new eyes.
Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
1440p60 over 4K30 any day of the week. Heck, give me 1080p60 rather than going back to the horrors of 30fps again.
Re: Hands On: God of War Ragnarok on PS5, PS4 Is PlayStation At Its Pomp
One day the cross gen ***** will end.
Re: Gotham Knights (PS5) - It's Actually Pretty Good
30fps? Come on.
And it just sounds too bland anyway. This is definitely gonna be on Extra sooner rather than later and I might take a look then if I have the time.
Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for October 2022 Are Available Now on PS5, PS4

30fps for a PS5 game? Nah, you're alright.
