I'm playing it at the moment and absolutely loving it, but the ray tracing mode really does slow the whole thing down. It's like a slide show compared to the performance mode.
I'd like to lend my support to the theory that PS didn't get a copy due to it's adherence to honesty in reviews. The fact that the site frequently has to remind casual readers that a 7 is still a good score bears that out. It's also the reason Push Square has been a daily check in for me for the last ten years.
@NEStalgia yikes. I didn't know that was the case. Tbh I've only seen a couple of trailers and it didn't appeal to me at all, but I'd be lying if I didn't feel some small amount of shadenfreude after SE pulled that crap with Avengers being a live service, whatever Babylon's fall was, and their attitude to NFTs.
Based on Writing on Games' review this looks like it could be monumentally bad. I'd find it funny but the actor who plays Frey is likely to get a heap of abuse from the usual scum online and she absolutely doesn't deserve that. Bad writing and a horrible character is not the fault of the actor.
@ItsBritneyB_tch I'd say on the whole it's the best book due to the pacing and the overall story hitting it's stride, but yeah the third film isn't the best.
It's a great collection but the online multiplayer was absolutely broken at launch. I really hope they fix it as I'd love to play the arcade and SNES games with friends.
@Northern_munkey he was a pretty big deal back in the day. For a couple of years he was everywhere and never out of the tabloids due to his national service stint as Madonna's boyfriend. Thankfully that was phased out and we no longer have to worry about being called up.
God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring come out in the same year and we're arguing over which is better. Good lord. They're both incredible, both push things forward in different ways and both were an absolute joy to play. You can't really compare which is "better" as it's so subjective.
Got bored on the extended yak level but now 25 hours in I may have seen the last of the yak. Other than that it's a solid nine. I've never played a 10. I don't want to, because once I do it means nothing can beat it.
A titan, a giant, among voice actors. His tones will be missed and his incredible performance as Batman will never be forgotten. RIP sir, you will always have a place in our hearts.
Yeah great it does all the high end stuff, but it's for consoles. This is dead on arrival at that price. Sony won't develop software for something seven people bought at launch.
Nothing for me personally but hardly a poor selection. I'm quite busy with Yakuza; Like a Dragon at the moment so I'm still very much getting my money's worth.
I just don't really see the point if only the graphics have changed. I love both games but if they'd brought TLOU2 combat to the remake I'd have jumped on this. As is I'm not paying full whack for some updated bells and whistles that for me at least don't seem worth it.
TMNT For the NES is very much of it's time but hardly terrible. It has randomised enemies which were rare for the time. Strategic elements, light RPG elements, a variety of weapons, shortcuts and replayability. It's easy to get sucked into the hate post AVGN and every other lazy review of it, but having played it to death on the c64 and NES as a kid it was really a good- though hardly great- game.
Oh, and as for the water level just take your time and use Raphael. He can tank the whole level and he's useless everywhere else.
They had the biggest open goal in history for a single player rise to power playing as Paul and they made an MMO. I will enjoy every moment of watching this fail.
@Ryany most of the people on this site and people who want something they can boot up and play without depending on servers or other people. Nothing archaic about wanting to enjoy something you own on your own terms.
I'm really excited for this. Cuphead was a perfectly balanced difficulty for me and a nice throwback to my contra (well, probotector) filled childhood. It helps that it's stunning to look at too.
Let it die was pretty good fun for a few hours so I'll likely give this a go. It was the only F2P game I've ever spent real money on so it was doing something right.
@tomassi I've played Rugby and used to box in my teens. The issue isn't being anti sports, it's being anti football. Since we're stereotyping here then maybe us "basement dwellers" don't have much interest in a sport which relies as much on convincing the ref you've shattered your femur on a blade of grass as it does on skill. In front of an audience of baying, racist, violent morons.
See? Stereotypes are dumb. Most people I know love football, they're good people, and they all happen to own FIFA already if they play it.
@MightyDemon82 as much as I'd like to agree (as in its an incredible kids cartoon and it was inspired by one of the greatest bands of all time, Ween), it just isn't for me. If you or anyone else loves it though? Good times! It's a great show!
Card games are beyond tedious. I mean you're on a console that lets you do pretty much anything and have unparalleled control of your character. Why bother being limited by the constraints of a physical game?
I'm too old for SpongeBob so no point there and Hood isn't exactly setting the world on fire is it? I don't have time to invest in becoming competent at a repetitive MP game and I really don't want to.
Three pointless games which Sony should be ashamed of. It's all well and good saying ItS OnLY A poUnD a MonTh or whatever but the fact is this is a service that has gone massively downhill, and to not speak up about that is anti consumer.
I'll likely go for the most expensive seeing as it's got the PS3 games and my ps3 packed in after fourteen years. If GT7 is an indication of how Sony are going to handle live service games then I definitely won't be sticking around for it though.
Nothing of interest there. I'm fuming I have to have plus just for Elden Ring as I'd have gladly skipped it again otherwise. Apparently Spartacus is getting announced "in the coming hours" according to Reddit so hopefully there will be some better news than this.
Card games though? Why? Just buy a physic deck with pictures of elves or whatever on them. Pointless genre.
I'm not a fan of the property, but it's really nice to hear fans being so excited for this game. It looks amazing!
I'd say the best way to go would be a full on arcade style Quidditch game. Similar to Rocket League. Take it online and possibly f2p and it could be absolutely huge.
It's pretty obvious that Hogwarts Legacy is going to be a massive hit, so there's no reason it couldn't support spin-offs. I'd like to think that the fans have made the whole property their own thing now and that the author is being sidelined. A huge community based around a multiplayer Quidditch game could be a good addition to that.
Well it looks incredible. The graphics are unbelievable and the gameplay looks like it could be good.... But I'm just not a fan of the franchise. I could maybe look past that but the other issues I have with the author in particular mean I can't support it.

Seems like nobody talks about Blood and Truth anymore. That was probably my favourite VR game. That and Doom VFR.

@nomither6 oh I'm fine with pronouns. All for em. If you're born a certain way then who am I to argue? Nobody, however, is born an anime character.

Vtubers. Yet another reason I'm glad I don't have children.

Great. Now I have to play the expansion with a "Pavlovian response".....
Re: Test Your PlayStation General Knowledge - Issue 20
10 but I'll happily admit that I had a lucky guess on the persona and suikoden questions as I've not played them. Tricky one this time!
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for October 2022?
Some really good games but nothing I would personally get excited for. If you like Dragon Quest it's a good month though!
Re: This Is How Much It Costs Sony for You to Complain About the PS Plus Games
@sonicmeerkat dream on. Knack 2 costs all of the money. Developing the motion capture for the hands on the NPC's cost seventeen million pounds.

Re: Soapbox: I Tried So Hard to Like Elden Ring, But I Just Couldn’t Do It
You gave the game a fair shake and it wasn't for you. Fair play for that. I tried persona 4 and just couldn't get into it, and most people love it.
Not everyone loves everything, and that's fine.

Remember Where the Water Tastes Like Wine? This is going to be a similar story. It'll sell in single digits and the studio will probably go under.

Blaidd is the new Solaire far as I'm concerned. Easily the most likeable character in the game.
