@Would_you_kindly fromsoft wouldn't do that though. Any kind of mtx and lootboxes would completely break the game and render the core experience absolutely pointless, that's before you get to the multiplayer aspect. One of the many reasons (and good god there are SO many) I love the soulsborne games is that they seem to be above that kind of monetisation.
It's an 8 for me. I love it, I'm enjoying every minute, but there's a couple of minor issues that are stopping it being a 9 (I've never played a 10). 1. The lock on can be unreliable leading to cheap deaths. 2. Netcode isn't what it could be (though that may change as player numbers stabilize) 3. Frame rate may be an issue at times 4. Occasional inputs not registering. I'll hit attack with a full stamina gauge and nothing happens. It's not common but it's not great.
I've platinumed Bloodborne and I've put hundreds of hours into each souls game, but I still believe that there should be an easy mode. Maybe with less trophies. They're such incredible games and it's sad to see people put off them.
So we're getting some of Ghost of Tsushima. Are they serious? After last month with tiny Tina and the idiocy of the godfall nonsense I'm not renewing plus anytime soon.
I'm a rare case personally as I finished the first game but I'm not buying the sequel. Nothing against it and if you like it then great, and I hope you're having a great time with it. I just don't click too well with it and I didn't really enjoy it much.
Still, quality AAA single player story based games are the best, and I hope it sells millions.
@Marquez well I have to disagree for obvious reasons but it's true, Manchester is great! It's so nice to see how it's been developed around the canals etc and all the work that's gone into the Salford end.
@Futureshark how very original. Some of the greatest history and science institutions on the planet, a city that went from "managed decline" to being at the forefront of business and culture in the north but no, it's just full of people who look like a sketch from twenty odd years ago that wasn't even that funny.
@Wolfie_Pie that stuff is lethal! Used to drink that in my late teens and spend less than twenty quid on a night out in the krazyhouse. Marvelous times.
@get2sammyb my old band played in there a few times! It's a good laugh the Cavern. They had some weird bands on at times too. I remember correctly ending up onstage with a load of people skanking to some ska punk band years back. Good times!
Liverpool is a great city. Lived here most of my life and was born here.
Cilla Black was vile though. Nasty piece of work who looked like Ronald McDonald after a three year drug binge and sounded like a goat gargling marbles. Horror.
Anyway, this is really good news for the staff and it's nice to see some investment round here. For anyone who's never even been, try to keep your mouth shut before making tired jokes, and remember that there's a lot more to the place than pathetic football rivalries.
It's similar to Manchester, amazing city which us scousers are apparently feuding with despite them giving us Joy Division and some of the best nights out of my life.
Inclusion and caring? This is going to be the Fyre Fest of video games and I am absolutely here for it. Remember when a bunch of streamers did this massive anti bullying thing and it turned out they were just trying to sell headphones?
Here's the thing. If you give anyone even partial anonymity and allow them to communicate with other anonymous people then they won't be inclined to be IncLuSIvE and CaRIng toward them. They'll act like they have no reason to respect them because, well, there isn't. Nobody owes you kindness. I'm all for treating people as you'd like to be treated, but it's just not going to happen.
Also, Mark Cerny is weird as hell. I always found him really creepy.
Yeah because most of us can't get one. I'm still trying to get them when they're back in stock and avoid scalpers. I've had the money sat in my account for months (protip, if you're in the UK and you've worked from home the last couple of years you can claim up to 312 quid a year back. Don't do it through a dodgy company, contact HMRC direct and they'll sort it) and I still can't find any online. I'm not even angry, I just want to play demons souls!!!!
Hotline Miami, Wipeout, Uncharted Golden Abyss and Killzone Mercenary. If you were into Japanese stuff then you'd get a lot more mileage but I'm still salty at how pathetic the support was for larger scale games in the west.
I hate this game and I've never even played it. The trailer seemed custom made to make me want to smack it in it's big stupid face. I'm glad it's gone.
At this rate Spartacus will be an NFT of a turnip in a bin with #1 written in glitter on it. Can't wait for the PlayStation access video of one of the team trying desperately to summon enthusiasm for what is an absolute dog egg of a month.
@Nepp67 well I can tell that you're not a true watchdogs fan like me. I can frequently be found waving my phone at traffic lights while wearing a big coat, or bothering San Francisco. /S
You're all aware that corporations- and especially the psychopaths who run them- don't care about any of us unless we're giving them even more money, right? It's not a case of Microsoft good, Sony bad or whatever, it's a case of people want your money for products. Nothing more.
If we get the occasional God of War or Bloodborne then good stuff, but you can bet that these grubby little horrors absolutely hate the fact that they can't graft some kind of FUT abomination onto them.
The whole industry has become a zero sum game. It was never in your favour.
@kyleforrester87 well said mate. The damage it does to viewers who are still forming attitudes to sex is one thing, and that's before we even get to the human trafficking, drugs, etc. The amount of harm it does is shocking.
This main character is about to join the ranks of the real legends: Bubsy, Awesome Possum, Johnny Gat, whatever the thing in the hat from Balan Wonderworld was.
It could have been an amazing handheld, even rivalling the switch. It's just such a shame that Sony didn't support it with games that took advantage of the hardware.
It may be a bitter pill to swallow but most people who play games aren't "core" gamers and couldn't care less about Indies. Much as I loved playing Hotline Miami and Velocity 2x etc on mine, I always felt that there should have been more games akin to Uncharted Golden Abyss on there.
If your goal was to make the best game possible then it wouldn't have shoehorned a live service and corporate tie ins onto what was essentially not a bad single player campaign suffering from bloat due to said live service nonsense.
Maybe the whole thing is a bait and switch. Just maybe after a few months it becomes an FPS where you find people using words like "steeze" and shoot them in the teeth before riding off on something.
Kill it with fire. Erase any mention of it from the annals of history. Give everyone involved new identities. Bury every piece of equipment used to create this.... Thing. Salt the earth above it.
This is the worst trailer I have ever seen for a game.
@Broosh having played Avengers the worst thing about it is that there's the skeleton of an excellent single player game in there. It's just buried under so many bafflingly poor decisions.
Look, I'm gonna say it. Mark Whalberg can't act. He's the same gormless titamaboob in every film, just sometimes with a comedy accent (the Departed). He went to the Vatican to apologise for being in boogie Nights, the one film he was good in, and that was due to him playing an idiot.
Let's also remember that he refused to apologise for a hate crime in which he blinded a Vietnamese man. He's a hack, he's a scumbag, and I have no idea why he still gets cast.
Tom Holland? Love him. Great actor, probably my favourite Spiderman, and seems like a really good person. Totally miscast as Drake, but that's not on him.
@trev666 Came here to say pretty much the same. I've had a few crashes and smaller bugs, and there's a fair bit of jank, but on PS4 pro it's no worse than fallout 4. I'm actually on my second playthrough of cyberpunk right now. It's a shame as the potential was through the roof, but I'm still enjoying it.

The Wolf Is Loose and Circle of Cysquatch by Mastodon should be on every racing game. All of them. ESPECIALLY Kart racers.
I will also accept the entire oeuvre of The Vengaboys.

Oh you sweet, summer child. Unless this takes off like Fortnite 2 there's no way this game is going to be alive in a year.

On the bright side this being by David Cage and his chums means that Attack of the Clones may not be the worst written star wars script for long.
