@Porco PS5 started out good the first year besides the lack of availability. When they confirm Horzion and God of war were cross gen that’s when things started going downhill imo. Also when that steam leak was released and we learned everything would be ported.

@Mauzuri because you don’t like those games doesn’t make them soulless. Those are still more creative than the average AAA game. People have been saying stuff like this since the days Call of Duty got big too.

Honestly unless you’re a hardcore Spider-Man fan I wouldn’t even buy the console at all at this point in time tbh. $500 for 3 year old technology.

@NinjaNicky if you plan to play about 10 matches only. I already have hundreds online,I got more value out of it than 95% of games

@KundaliniRising333 MK comes out once every 4 years. Every character is given completely different moves and combos per game. Scorpion is this game for example has a entirely different moveset than his MK11 counterpart for example.

Not even close to being compared to CoD or Sports games. Fighting games have a much bigger level of complexity, it’s one of the hardest genres to become competent at overall.

It will be good but I’m not expecting to be blown away honestly. Maybe a 8.5.

@Bionic-Spencer all of that would have happened without him,you’re literally praising him for nothing. PS was already trending upwards for years.

People give this guy credit for things he didn’t even do. PS5 was going to be a success based on the PS4 and he had nothing to do with any of the games released. Those were already in the works.

It won’t sell well imo. They novelty of ps games on pc is whatever now compared to 2020 and the game is seen as bland.

@Constable_What Mena used Blanka, but he still has a low pick rate overall. Luke and JP are among the more common characters and people dislike fighting those 2,but I’ll give them a pass.

The real issue with the roster is they kept world warriors that didn’t need to be in,the game would have been much better with alpha/3/and even 4 characters in their place.

Evo means nothing btw unless you can get like top 64. I don’t understand why people who just play online try to use it to mean anything,the people who participate in that are a little fraction of the million of copies sold. SF6 had like 7K entrees I think? For a game that sold millions of copies.

@Constable_What I see all those characters in king of the hill. The number one player on the leaderboards used nitara. Most people play multiple characters too.

24 characters people actually wanted vs 18 characters filled with characters there was no demand for,and are thus underplayed. Who was clamoring for Blanka or Honda again? Not even a single SF3 character on the base roster.

@Korgon people are picking Ken because they are settling. The game didn’t need half of those world warriors who are bottom 75% in useage.

@Constable_What I’ve fought against more smokes and reptile raiden than those 2. You easily feel the difference in the roster size.

@4kgk2 because it’s street fighter. has nothing to do with quality SFV proved that already. MK never needed the fgc’s approval, you can get matches online extremely quickly even in MKX still.

@belmont special forces brought down the MK11 roster bigly. We had to have Sonya,Jax,and their kids and it was redundant. Imo they are the reason MK11 launched with ONLY 3 male ninjas and characters like smoke had to sit out.

@InsaneWade FF7 transcends the JRPG label, it was one of the best selling PS1 franchises of all time. And Persona exploded in popularity and sales this generation, I’m not even convinced Final Fantasy is a bigger franchise anymore especially with younger gamers.

Games like DMC5 and Nier Automata have reached 7 million.

@Nowings it was put on PlayStation plus because the game did not have that much legs…they announced it sold 5 million and then nothing for years afters.

Ghosts of Tsushima was a brand new ip and outsold this game by 3 million in a much shorter time frame…7 million is kinda low for a remake of such a hyped iconic game imo, people who never even played FF7 know Cloud Tifa etc.

@Tomato_Goose This has been a problem for a while,we aren’t getting enough new games to replace the ported ones. Looks like this is going to be a drip fed generation from Sony. Even this year only one first party exclusive.

Spider-Man 2 is just whatever for me, I’ll wait for reviews to see how truly different it is from the last 2 games. Everything else I’ll wait for a sale on PC.

@Strikke Street Fighter is a fighting game with less appeal to the masses because many don’t want to get bodied online. FF16 was made to chase the god of war and casual crowd

@TrickyDicky99 Horzion and God of War both sold over 20 million, yet Ragnarok outsold FW in a month. That tells you how much Horzion was boosted by bundles, that’s an insane discrepancy.
