Re: Astro Bot Sells 1.5 Million PS5 Copies Inside Nine Weeks

Shad361

@PuppetMaster define “well”. These are average numbers at best. Especially for a 94 meta game, that everyone on the internet said they “wanted more of”, yet only like 1 in 60 PS5 owners bought the game.

Any half decent game with a name can sell a million copies these days, that’s the floor now.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Web Swings to PC in January 2025

@HotGoomba Every Nintendo console from the NES to SNES to N64 to GC all sold less than the last until the Wii..which died early because most people bought games on PS3 and 360 and the hardcore audience was done with motion controls by 2010. The Wii's legacy as a whole is questionable honestly.

They would have sold enough consoles to justify it, but not 147 million worth or whatever the switch sold. They merged the console and handheld audience together and it was a "new" thing. I personally think switch 2 will decline like the nes to snes in sales.

Re: Japan Sales Charts: PS5 Software Actually Sells for Once

Shad361

@Flaming_Kaiser Why would I cry? I never argued quality,I’m arguing sales. 60+ million ps5 owners, how many supported the game?

It sold 12K in Japan, but that was “good” numbers and the “best the console could do”,yet metaphor completely proved that wrong. And it’s a new ip so you can’t even use that excuse.

Re: Japan Sales Charts: PS5 Software Actually Sells for Once

@PuppetMaster people fishing for engagement on Twitter are not “capable” people. And again, these people have literally been wrong before. They say what people want to hear mostly so they don’t get backlash and get followers, this is a hustle.

It’s the opposite actually, people like a game so much they’ll do anything to say it was successful. That’s exactly what happened to final fantasy(look at what this cherry picked guy on Twitter said, it sold well!)

Re: Japan Sales Charts: PS5 Software Actually Sells for Once

Shad361

@PuppetMaster show me actual sales numbers that prove that and not cherry picked statistics like it sold more in Europe on launch…

Same people saying “It sold well” said Rebirth also sold well and FF16. Also define “well”, 1 million? 2 million? We don’t know.

Re: Atlus Fans Don't Think Xbox's Marketing Is Doing Metaphor: ReFantazio Justice

@QiaraIris what proof do you have the “majority” of players think this in an Xbox exclusive? This is an atlus game…anyone with basic logic should understand why that’s unlikely. Imagine being JRPG player and having trouble finding out what platform a game is on that was announced MONTHS ago. That’s a weak excuse.

The game just isn’t that appealing right now in a stacked month with big games releasing. Maybe Altus shouldn’t have chosen to release a game the month that Dragon Ball, Call of Duty, and Sonic x Shadow are releasing.
