Nothing to go on, nothing to get excited over. That said, a narrative open world Captain America game set in the 40’s where you basically infiltrate and sabotage ***** and use your powers in special ops could be kinda cool. That’s almost for sure not what we’re getting though.
People shouldn’t buy the season pass. I don’t understand why people would if you don’t even know what they’ll make. There is 0 reason to get it before the dlc is announced beyond being someone who is taken over by hype.
@Humaniac Hard disagree. Some good games have trophies based on mastering mechanics you enjoy or cool things to note to appreciate the full game. This is just tedious.
Looking forward to this indeed. Been a while since I could get really stuck into a deep RPG and this piece of content should allow us to try some mythic paths in combat.
Not entirely convinced with the snippets of combat, looked a bit janky, but will always give a sci fi game a try if it’s good. Hoping this is a new golden age of sci fi games.
@HeeHo There’s having things to do, then having a map littered with repetitive activities that aren’t engaging. Elden Ring has a fantastic open world without bloat. It’s doable and quite frankly should be the norm in this day and age. Even Horizon has at the very least more engaging activities to do without becoming overbearing.
Looking forward to the review on this. I would love another Persona-style game to occupy me, but without the school day distractions/sub game, I’m not sure if this would be engrossing enough.
22 was absolute dross. If these are just minimal improvements, the novelty will wear off after a season or two. It needs a proper revamp, not half-assed measures.
Still pretty amazing. The community loved the journey, and the level of modding now available will usher in a lot of fresh interest in the game. They’ve done a lot to bring fresh eyes to the game and should be commended.
@wiiware blame the character instead of the writing. The problem isn’t ever that it’s a woman with a hairstyle, but the writing was *****. Also not sure what was bad about Jessica Chenwick in Matrix 4.
@Would_you_kindly You can be funny without punching down. I don’t really see what the issue is here. You want Rockstar to make jokes about the homeless or mentally ill? I mean sure, they could do that, but is that the only way to be funny? Why do people take issue with this? Most of the very best comedy out there, standup or sketch/show based doesn't punch down.
@Old-Red Honestly Sony has been pretty awful this gen. Yes, their studios are still firing out great games, but some of the decisions the hierarchy have been making and the way they’re communicating them is troubling.
@Bismarck This is just wrong. Witcher is one of my favourite series, but Horizon has fantastic lore. It’s more sci fi but I found the Horizon world to be gripping in its own way. Don’t understand how you can have such a bad take.
People seem to be misunderstanding why people were mad at the endings. I was on the BioWare forums at the time, and shared in the disappointment. The main things that pissed people off were: the Star Child being pulled out of someone’s ass, having everything explained to you in the last 15 mins of the game with nothing really set up earlier in the story to give you food for thought on what option to choose, the Illusive Man’s really disappointing character arc, all endings merely being different colours, and that the Indoctrination theory that fans developed being a far better explanation of some of the game’s events than what was actually written.
Honestly, people would have been fine if there was a single ending to the game, whilst the subplots could vary, but the execution of it was really poor. Considering some of the forethought that had been put into previous games’ outcomes, it felt rushed. People didn’t want 100 different endings, that’s just a mischaracterisation of fan sentiment at the time. They just wanted a at least one satisfying one.
Best news I’ve heard all week! Had my issues with Kingmaker, but enjoyed it nonetheless. This seems like a stellar sequel, taking lots of feedback into consideration, and PC reviews have been phenomenal. Can’t wait to try out all the mythic paths. With Owlcat working on a Warhammer CRPG, they’re slowly becoming one of my favourite RPG devs.
Really like Curse of the Dead Gods although their buff and gear system wasn’t great and could be improved immensely. Hopefully they do that in this, will defo keep an eye out.

Re: Story-Focused Battlefield Game Now in Development at New Studio
@riceNpea what are you about? How is that linked to this at all? Seriously complaining about “woke” of a fairly innocuous announcement
Re: Engage in Tactical Vacuum Action in Justice Sucks, Available Now on PS5, PS4
Pretty interesting concept. Another game I would absolutely try if it were on Plus Extra.
Re: Steelrising (PS5) - French Souls-Like Is Almost Great

Re: CDPR Confirms New Cyberpunk 2077 Update, Info Coming Next Week
@Jimmer-jammer Anime will be worth watching just for Trigger alone.

Re: Ubisoft Denies Rumours of Blade Game Based on Marvel Movie
Thank god, leave it for another studio.

Re: Earth Defense Force 6 Japanese Ad Is Somehow More Absurd Than the Game
Game of the year, clearly.
Re: Soul Hackers 2 (PS5) - SMT on a Budget
Looks like I’ll keep comparing it to P5 and will be left disappointed. Will skip this until it’s on Plus Extra I guess.
Re: Learn the Basics of Time Manipulation in The Entropy Centre, Coming to PS5, PS4
I needed something to fill my Port-hole. Looking great.
Re: Construction Simulator Breaks New Ground, Adds Multiplayer on PS5, PS4
Can you walk to fish and chip shop down road for dinner?

Re: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Pre-Orders Now Open, Discounted for PS Plus Members
So so looking forward to this. Mythic path system seems really cool. Owlcat on an upward trajectory, their Warhammer game should shape up nicely too.
Re: Drill Down Into Made in Abyss With This Game Overview Trailer
Any word if Kevin Penkin is scoring this? Would make it worth the look alone.
Re: Face Your Demons in ONI: Road to Be the Mightiest Oni, Coming to PS5, PS4
Looks nice enough, would make a good Plus Extra game.
Re: Play Far Cry 6, Including Its DLC, For Free This Weekend
No. I don’t think I will.
Re: Beyond Good & Evil 2 Just Found Its New Lead Writer
This will eventually release as painfully mediocre. They clearly don’t have a proper vision for this, so muddled mess is on the horizon.
Re: FIFA 23's Player Career Will Let You Be a Pampered Prima Donna

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Anime, Edgerunners, Continues to Look Awesome in Official Trailer
The cyberpunk lore is great, so it should translate well to an adaptation. And Trigger are quality at what they do so this is looking promising.

Re: SD Gundam Battle Alliance Demo Is Ready for Launch on PS5, PS4
@TheCollector316 I know right. Could you imagine a narrative-driven Gundam RPG? Why does the world not listen to us?

Re: Rumour: Black Panther Game Being Developed by EA, Is Single Player and Open World
I’ve never gone from 100-0 as fast as seeing Black Panther game then EA in the same sentence. Optimism very very low, a damn shame.
Re: There's 'No Comparison' Between The Last of Us on PS5 vs PS3, Says Dev
@Old-Red Honestly Sony has been pretty awful this gen. Yes, their studios are still firing out great games, but some of the decisions the hierarchy have been making and the way they’re communicating them is troubling.
Re: Rumour: Immortals Fenyx Rising Spin-Off Is Inspired by Polynesian Mythology
That’s awesome. So many pantheons that we know little about, encourage anything that spreads awareness.
Re: Gotham Knights Prequel Comic Will Launch Alongside the Game, Expanding Its Backstory
Is it really one of the most anticipated games of the year? The previews have been pretty underwhelming.
Re: Saints Row Goes Gold a Month Before PS5, PS4 Release
No hype for this whatsoever.
Re: The Witcher 3 Livestream Set for This Week

Re: Check Out 20 Minutes of Gameplay from Warframe's Duviri Paradox Expansion
Does look pretty cool. Fair play to Warframe, their expansions always cater to the fans with something fresh and interesting.
Re: Reminder: One Week Left to Grab Six Free Months of Apple TV+ on PS5
People need to stop sleeping on Pachinko. Best show on there. Severance is really good too.

Is Penkin doing the soundtrack for this as well? Because that would really tempt me into getting this.
Re: As Red Dead Online Fans Ready Funeral, Rockstar Admits It's Basically Pulled the Plug
Lol you lot aren’t spending enough money for them to take their eyes off potential GTAVI revenue.
Re: Ravenswatch Is a Dark Fantasy Roguelike That Brings Fairy Tales to Life, Coming to PS5 in 2023

Re: Meet Your Brother Knights in This New Trailer for Strategy RPG The Valiant
Does look promising, albeit unspectacular but would like to see the wider game systems and goal.

About blooming time. Now can someone also get Wildermyth to make the hop over please?
Re: Deus Ex, Guardians of the Galaxy Writer to Lead Narrative on the Next Mass Effect

Re: Right Wrongs in JRPG Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten
Looks pretty cool, like the combat. Will keep an eye out for release
