@Bentleyma I wouldn't call MAFIAII a bad remaster, at least the graphics is more consistent than III's vehicle textures. And I'd argue that those PS3/360 era graphics still look good looking cartoony somewhat. For example TLOU2 and TLOURemake realistic graphics look good but the PS3 Remaster still looks good too.

Sword Saint is worse than Malenia. I spent 30-45mins tops on Malenia, with Sword Saint...I even stopped playing for a while, that's because Sekiro's leveling up is different and you keep losing precious spirit emblems, it just makes it flat out hard.

Don't got Plus, just here to shout out MAFIAII. That PS3/360 era graphics still holds well imo. Beautiful immersive game.

External got corrupted and deleted all my games - downside to digital. Redownloaded MAFIAII to start 2nd run on Hard, can't believe Plus users have been giving this classic for free and some are whining. Got stronger and gone back to wipe out all the magisters in Fort joy in Divinity OS2. Then some MHW Iceborne and Elden Ring probably.

Far Cry 5's DLC was one of the most needless DLCs of all time.

Thought Lee Chaolan got old.

MAFIAII is wonderful, that 4/10 review was at launch when it had so many bugs. Right now it's a 8+ easily.

Layoffs are awful. Employ someone and later tell them you don't need them anymore...tf!

Divinity OS2 - game is so deep. Thought it was going to be a breeze like Persona 5's or traditional FF's turn-based but this feels difficult.

So who made the law; short games = quality and long games ≠ quality. Like @Th3solution says, the Order 1886 says hello. If a game feels too long, it's just natural burnout, happens with anything from food to whatever. AC Mirage is short yet it's not like it's giving Valhalla a run for its money. There are people who don't care if it's padding or filler, they probably enjoy the gameplay so they want it to keep going for hours, something like Monster Hunter. I mean FIFA and CoD are selling every year, there are people enjoying repeatedly playing the same old matches for hundreds of hours, they'd say it's better value than a short game. Same way some enjoy playing hundreds of hours of SP like they would an MP, regardless if it's filler.

Probably more than 20+ years since I played an isometric game, but all this talk of these games these days I decided to get Divinity OS2. It's wonderful with a steep learning curve albeit. It's taken my attention off MHW Iceborne a bit, which I was closing in on 400hrs on my 1st save. And there I was thinking I won't have games like Skyrim/Fallout4 to spend hundreds of hours because of MS' hypocritical buyout. So yeah, it's probably these 2 this weekend.

@PixelDragon And it's funny how they dropped scores feeling like they're special, now they're back to scores hiding behind stars. That site only got popular with their PS3/360/PC comparisons back in the day which morphed into DF, that's it.

@Totheteeth Eurogamer have repented - changed their ways, they realized hating on AAA games just wasn't worth it anymore.

91 out of 120 reviews is really impressive. Maybe I should give the first a chance. After the joy I had with Arkham City being forgettable after beating it back then, I just couldn't bother with superhero games no more.

@AdamNovice Haven't you heard, PushSquare is now Eurogamer and vice versa. Difference is, the latter are FromSoft fans and the former are Yakuza fans. 😉

Still on MH World Iceborne, too much fun. Grinding in Sekiro to acquire skills which is feeling highly repetitive, this is why Elden Ring is the best because you have a huge open world to go grind. Some HFW and Valhalla or GT Sport probably.

@trev666 Yep because there are too many time-consuming great games above 8, people can't spare the most valuable asset called Time on 7s.

Now I feel like reinstalling P5.

It's just been Monster Hunter World Iceborne the whole week! Can't get enough of that gameplay loop.

Well it's Codemasters' DiRT Rally so it's definitely going to shape up nice, people should constantly be reminded of that and not just slap EA Sports on it.

As expected, around the 70s on MC is exactly how I guessed. Just basic stealth gameplay won't do much in this climate. We've had crazy stealth like the Dishonored games. Great for people who wanted the AC back to its roots but maybe it's time to move on.

Glad I'm sober from FIFA for the past 6 years, well yea got FIFA20 at the time, didn't play it that long like the others. I remember missing a whole lot of games back in the day because of buying FIFA yearly, not anymore.

Still on Sekiroooooo, typical FromSoft fashion, will keep calling you back even if you wanna give up. Another game that does that is Monster Hunter World Iceborne, will be playing that too, currently on 304hrs on my first save. Then some HFW, Valhalla and anything else.

@PixelDragon Lol but that's the general information that has existed since the dawn of time, nothing to do with the shutdown news. Ok so they say online trophies won't be attainable right...so how are offline trophies going to be attained if there's no save function, are we going to leave our systems on for days and weeks...How does a game or anything that requires progress pass regulations if it doesn't have something as basic as a save function... It shouldn't even exist on the Store, c'mon bruh! 😁

How's this going to work if the game can't save absolutely NOTHING by your logic. Why would it even still exist on the PS Store? They would've dropped the entire game altogether.

@PixelDragon But it says it can be played offline, and how do you play a game without a save mechanic...Well they could easily update to save offline so...

@PixelDragon Huh? I mean that's exactly how it is from Adam till NOW - you can't save when not connected to the internet, it only saves online. Pretty sure they're talking about online multiplayer not online saving.

@God_of_War_ Forget it, I was like you waiting for it to drop from that $30/£30 but it's been stuck there for a hundred years, it's ridiculous, gave up and got it early this year I think.

@wiiware naah it's not all parrying but if there's a game that teaches you parrying, it's Sekiro. You can get stronger and one hit enemies though.

Returned to my 2nd run of Digital Foundry's best graphics of 2022 - Horizon Forbidden West. Whooping boss after boss in Sekiro, currently at the Fountainhead Palace. Just beat Glavenus in Monster Hunter World Iceborne, on to Tigrex etc, that crafting beautiful gear and whooping beautiful monsters gameplay loop never gets old. Then it's probably some laps in GT Sport and tarrying in RDR2.

The side quests were really engaging, in typical CDPR fashion. Was on my 2nd run but FromSoft games kept hijacking my attention.

I mean that's how I expected the ones released early this year to look - with a P5 coat of paint - in the first place. Atlus just wants to play with people's pockets as usual.

@Scoopz Lol silly! Where did I say the graphics were bad... I'm saying masterpieces like Zelda, Elden Ring are not demanding on a technical level yet they're critically acclaimed.

Time and time again, it's being proven that just shiny demanding graphics isn't the end of it all - Zelda, SF6, ER. Seems it's just Naughty Dog and Rockstar, well Guerilla these days, who are able to combine graphics and wonderful gameplay.

Feels like I'm nearing Sekiro's end, it's been a very difficult game with no searching for help on the internet whatsoever. Then it's some GT Sport, RDR2, Valhalla or anything else.

Back to Sekiroooooo, GT Sport, legendary RDR2, AC Valhalla, Elden Ring and whatever else.

Mustard the courage to step down.

Oh come on 🙄 it's 9 reviews. The game looks spectacular no doubt but that 97 belongs to only Rockstar's games and Zelda.

Watched gameplay vids and found it highly impressive. Just one day... I'll definitely play it.

@freddquadros I just love Valhalla's immersion. You have a settlement to return to, kids welcoming when you're back, a sense of belonging, a single blacksmith upgrading your hard to find equipment(not a million gear in your inventory you don't care about). They took notes from RDR2.

Dan Stapleton of IGN giving Starfield a 7/10 considering his history with these Bethesda games gives me comfort I'm not missing much. I mean who goes to buy up a fackn multiplat studio and makes their games exclusive, I mean timed-exclusive would've been ok even if silly. I've never supported Sony's lousy timed-exclusives either.
