Re: Suda 51 Says 'Everyone Cares Too Much About Metacritic Scores'

Well because those people can't buy every single game out there and review themselves. People don't have that luxury of time and money to be testing "creative off the beaten path" games at Β£60, perhaps they would if games were Β£10. Sites get review copies for free to give people an idea "before you buy!" Thought this is general knowledge.

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds Gets 1 Hour of PS5 Gameplay Fresh from Gamescom

At this point, don't think I need a trailer or gameplay vid to be sold on MH. It could have sweet cartoony graphics like RiseSunbreak or lean towards realism like WorldIceborne, there's still a lot of FUN to be had hunting and crafting lovely gear. Other devs underestimate the joy in hunting & crafting.

@breakneck I'm at 2000hrs+ for both WorldIceborne & RiseSunbreak strictly SINGLE PLAYER. Forget that played out MP rhetoric, still a lot of fun to be had in SP.

Trying a 2nd run of MAFIA DE. Still on MH Rise, some Iceborne probably. Plus, back on the GOAT - RDRII on my 4th run still. Aaaannd will probably return to Shadow of the Erdtree.

@colonelkilgore Funny how I bought GTAIV twice, 1 on PS3 1 on 360, but here I am, can't even get to play it anymore. Shocking we don't have a PS4 port at least yet, like RDR and people say R* care so much about money.

Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Studio Really Will Try and Port the Game to PS4

Generations is done. Consoles are going PC. You're going to get the best experience on the latest hardware, after all consoles are releasing faster than games these days. Games are going to release on as much platforms as possible to make up for the rising cost in production. There aren't going to be much PS6 exclusives, most are going to release on base PS5 also.

Re: The Monster Hunter Wilds Marketing Machine Kicks into Gear with New Gameplay Videos

@Logonogo @Colour Using Dual Blades or Sword/Shield makes for faster gameplay. Using that huge buster sword - my favorite - is slow, as it should in reality, you miss a lot of hits but when your attack lands...is so satisfying. That's the realism in the gameplay. Watch a monster's weakness - say Ice - craft a weapon with ice elements, and if the monster attacks with fire, craft gear with fire resistances. Things like that is just the tip of the iceberg, game is deep.

Re: Naughty Dog Allegedly Found Bungie's Feedback on Binned The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer Extremely Helpful

Well, you can't really tell unless you tried and failed. Who knew R* could make online fun with GTA4, in the days when it was all about Call of Duty 4 Modem Warfare. See how big GTA Online is now but hey there's only so much you can do in some post apocalyptic setting, you can't have brand new guns or cars or clothes being added every month to keep people engaged, yeah there's Fallout 76 maybe, but that's wacky so it's believable when they add any type of ridiculous content, TLOU on the other hand is serious business - realistic, you can't add just anything. So yeah Bungie may have been right.

Think I'm on the last boss of Shadow of the Erdtree, this up there with the toughest bosses ever and yeah there's the incredible Bayle also to beat so I've just taken a step back and gone back to the Lands Between. We ignore the wickerman fire golems but they're also almost impossible.
It's been so much FromSoftware for me these past few months I've just had to return to Monster Hunter Rise for a change. Just another spectacular Monster Hunter you just can't put down.

@Specky "For RDR2 and GTA V it's purely a matter of releasing the absolute best quality a game can be and that just holds up. The insane part is no other studio's copying that business model..."

Perfectly said! Ubisoft could make a quality game close to Rockstar's with their workforce but they're in a hurry to release hundred games a month. And to think Ubi's horses have been rubbish compared to first time FromSoft horse - Torrent, it's just laughable.
