Getting absolutely wrecked by Romeo, King of Puppets in Lies of P, mixed with the soothing joyful platforming of Super Mario Bros Wonder. It’s going to be a bipolar weekend…

It’s an awesome game, thoroughly enjoying it so far. The combat is polished and tactical, the story is great, and the environments are a (creepy) joy to explore. Very happy for this dev, and for me, bc I’m enjoying it so much!

@zimbogamer Lies of P = Bloodborne X Sekiro! Deflecting and the legion arm is VERY Sekiro, while the whole vibe and sort-of the weapon building is VERY Bloodborne. Anyways, fantastic game no matter how you look at it. A great year for us Souls-heads, indeed!

@silverspeed I play a LOT more Switch these days bc I can play in the evening while my lady watches TV, and we can still socialize and hang out together. I’d love to be able to do this more easily with my PS5. Also I think the device checks all the boxes—having an 8” screen solidly built onto a true Dualsense controller with Link to get me a solid connection via remote play is just what I wanted. And I can live with plugging in headphones, absolutely not a dealbreaker (also—lag free sound!). I’m super pumped for it!

Absolutely fantastic game!! Bumped me off Armored Core, which I think is really saying something. So many fun and well-done elements, and the story and world is very well realized. Play it!!

Good to hear everyone’s feedback! Sounds “good not great”, makes me feel okay that I skipped this one. Loved MK11 for a good while, and felt like I got my fill for the next decade. Maybe I’ll pick it up once it inevitably becomes like $20 for a komplete edition.

I bought it now full price just to support the devs. I absolutely loved the demo.

I absolutely loved playing through the game the first time I played it on PS five when it came out, but this seems like a dream come, true! Can’t wait to sometime in the future jump back into a new game and experience everything this update has to offer. Plus phantom liberty! So awesome to see this game transform in the way that it has!

@Jimmer-jammer Thanks for sharing! I have yet to try a shotgun in any capacity, will have to try one out. I did end up finally beating Balteus with that awesome plasma rifle in RH, that long grenade launcher in LH, vertical missles and the back laser rifle. The trick was to stay in the air though, which took me WAY to long to figure out… 🤦🏻‍♂️ Very satisfying when it exploded into flames however 🔥🔥🔥

@ErrantRob That’s exactly my plan today. I’m still rocking beginning weapons, tried to see how far I could push them lol. Time to grind and buy some new armature. Love this game though! Armored Core is back!

I mean, the game plays very well. I’ve noticed a few drops here and there, but given the madness on the screen at times, I’ve been very impressed with Armored Core VI’s technical performance in my playtime so far. Waaaaaay better than Elden Ring (at least at launch).

A delay is a good choice, the demo a bit rough around the edges. Definitely has promise though.

PS Plus Essential was already in overpriced. I let my subscription lapse 2 years after buying my PS5. Now there is zero chance that I’ll be subscribing again. Major bummer..

I definitely want one! Looking forward to playing curled up on my couch next to my lady while she watches her favorite TV shows after work. Wish it was a little cheaper (like 150 seems about right), but I think I will get good use out of it for the money.

I play my Switch soooooo much more since I got one (post-PS5 release). I have lower back issues, so I love laying on the couch or in bed to play. My PS5 is starting to collect dust for this reason. Having the Portal to remote play games lag-free via the new Link system in my home sounds like just what I need. I definitely wish it had an OLED screen, but LCD obviously brought the price down, so not a terrible concession. I wish it was a little cheaper, like $150, but I’m probably going to buy it.

Sounds like a classic AA game that a lot of people might still enjoy. This review reminded me of the first The Surge game—lots of small issues, but still a solid experience underneath it all and a unique take on the genre. I’ll definitely check this out down the road, as it sounds like a pretty fun time!
