These comments are hilarious and SO negative. Nobody said that the game would be unplayable if they shipped on a disc. Game developers have deadlines, because it’s a business, remember? Completing the game digitally allows more polish time before the inevitable deadline. I say this as someone who wishes it was releasing physically.

Got to know Lance Reddick from watching Fringe; such a great actor! Mr. Reddick will be greatly missed. Love this tribute!

Maybe an HD-2D remaster, but not a remake. I worry they would change the combat system too much, and that the massive story would get streamlined to a degree that left too much out. I don’t know… Plus they just rereleased the game on modern platforms.

How about Xenogears gets a remaster/rerelease?! Eh?! Where’s the water cooler talk about THAT game?! Or Vagrant Story?!

Totally decent survival-horror with some easy to look past flaws. I finish very few games these days, and finished this one, so I guess that must count for something. Definitely interested in the final chapter DOC, but hoping it’s cheap…

@poetwarlord @doctommaso Have you watched the new gameplay video? The combat looks way more fluid than in the past, especially melee, and apparently the lock-on and camera have been improved. Between that and the way more exciting and expensive level design, an emphasis on engaging boss battles, plus all of the artistic vision they’ve achieved with the Souls games, I’m anticipating a very strong game, and probably a big uptick in fans. Could be a lot of Core-likes coming out after this, lol!

@Sequel Definitely just the Collector’s Edition, which is already way more than I should be spending! My figure will have to exist sans garage. Maybe I’ll build one out of Lego, ha! That premium edition price tag is bananas!

Just watched the Play Days developer video with gameplay and narration, and wow yeah, looks phenomenal. The music and atmosphere is haunting and the gameplay looks VERY unique. I can see why Liam was raving about it—you do need to see it in motion. Nintendo Life has the video here:

Well I stand with foot firmly in mouth. I didn’t think I would like the game at all, based on trailers and gameplay videos, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed what I’ve played of the demo so far. I’m surprised to say that I want to play the full game now! Enjoying the combat, story (and voice acting), lightning-fast load times (i.e., none!), and overall tone of the game—feels very Final Fantasy! My only issue so far is that, as others have said, it needs a motion blur toggle; swinging the camera around during play is giving me a headache. Other than that, I’m sold! Probably not a day one, but definitely excited to play it down the road sometime soon. By the power of the crystals (or something)!

Definitely a bit disappointing. But Capcom has been amazing lately, so I think we can give them a free pass on this one.

Capcom has been knocking it out of the park, so trust in them to take the time they need. Also, maybe this is the game that will finally prove they are humans and capable of messing up, and not game-making super-machines from planet Capcomia? (Lots of) time will tell…

Finished the Lies of P demo last night, thoroughly enjoyed it. Fun gameplay, great artistic direction, and solid performance on PS5. Will be buying the full game come September!!

Too late—I cringed so hard I broke my face

Really enjoying the demo so far. Definitely borrowing a lot of systems from FromSoftware games (bonfires from Dark Souls, health regain from Bloodborne, tool arm from Sekiro), but doing it in a way that feels purposeful, and not just copying them for the sake of it. I’m loving the Pinnochio story reimagining as well; the atmosphere and artistic direction are interesting. Haven’t finished the demo yet, but it’s been a fun journey so far. I was hesitant from just watching the trailers, but I’m convinced after actually playing the game. Maybe not a day one, but definitely will buy and enjoy it at some point soon after release!

This was already a no for me, but with each video I’m even more convinced that this is not the Final Fantasy I’m looking for. I’ll stick with FromSoftware and Team Ninja for my action RPGs, thanks. Wake me when Rebirth is ready…

I have high hopes for this Silent Hill 2 remake, and hope that Bloober is given the time they need to make the best game they possibly can. I enjoyed The Medium, despite its flaws, and definitely see growth there in their game development.

Konami, please show love, support, and patience to Bloober team while they craft their remake of one of the most beloved horror tales of all time.

I won’t buy one based solely on principle. Generally speaking, I feel like what was promised on the base PS5 has not been delivered.

@KundaliniRising333 I 100% agree with you. I love FromSoftware, and have also played their games across generations. But man, they need to get with the program on that old AF game engine, technical problems, and workplace issues. Sekiro ran okay (esp. on PS5), but Elden Ring was so, so disappointing, performance-wise. The open world finally broke that engine and revealed ALL the cracks. Such a great game, but hard to play sometimes…
I REALLY hope that AC VI: Fires of Rubicon breaks this mold!!

I think I’m going to pass this time around. I enjoyed 11 a lot, but nothing in this trailer feels like a “must play” so far. I’m definitely interested to see gameplay, but this looks like the same old Mortal Kombat with the same old characters. A bit disappointing, honestly…
