@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare Sony is publishing Death Stranding 2. There'll still be some period of exclusivity (unless things really have changed and Sony is no longer the publisher).
@truerbluer @ED_209 I mean, it's not like anyone's buying a PS5 in 2024 for Death Stranding, right? It probably makes more sense to just keep Kojima happy.
@nessisonett Yeah, but obviously the Xbox also sells a lot less. And that figure, I believe, also includes Switch which does better on the physical front. So it kinda averages things out.
I'm not saying it's a flawless metric, but clearly physical players are now very much in the minority.
@IOI Maybe but when you see the data, in the UK, less than 25% of people are now buying physical. With numbers that low, I kinda get why they're making it optional as 75% of the market don't want it.
I'm not overly against offering the disc drive as an optional extra, as I can count on one hand the number of times I've used my PS5's disc drive to be honest.
But if you're going to do this, at least make sure the accessory is in stock for people who want it.
@3VET Honestly, it's been years and years since I played The 3rd Birthday so I couldn't really comment on how that system worked.
Here you just press L1 to assume your "spirit" form, and then you can float a certain distance and target someone else within range to assume control of them.
Makes sense, Microsoft is a third-party publisher now to be honest. Indiana Jones will be best on PS5 Pro, too. As will any other games they port over.
PS5 packaging has been quite uneventful this gen, but I know Sony worked really hard to make it all completely recyclable, which is important in this day and age.
@LikelySatan Oh, thank you! You're very welcome! It's always been our mantra here on Push Square to do that, and we'll continue to do so as much as we possibly can!
@Bionic-Spencer It's a sign of the times I think. You're not going to get those generational leaps anymore. New consoles will be more like upgrading your graphics card.
@Papa_Emeritus I think it's great that compilations like this are being made, and I will certainly buy it. But let's be real: these are not great games in 2024.
@J-Dubs Potentially, yes. Just examples, though. We get one or two of these interviews per year, and they only ever include the questions Sony's comfortable being asked.
I don't blame Variety for taking the exclusive here, but this interview has barely any substance to it at all.
Always in for James Bond-style spy thriller stuff. Great review, Liam. I think I'll wait to see what other maps they add and then I might give this a go. I really enjoyed Cold War.

@mrmartinrohr Wow! Very exciting day for you!
Re: Death Stranding Gets a Surprise Xbox Series X|S Port, Out Now
@LowDefAl Exactly! Ding, ding, ding.
Re: Death Stranding Gets a Surprise Xbox Series X|S Port, Out Now
@ED_209 Because they own those franchises and no longer own Death Stranding? 🤷♀️

@Mostik Glad to hear those positive things about the build quality. Excited to hear everyone's impressions!
Re: Death Stranding Gets a Surprise Xbox Series X|S Port, Out Now
@__jamiie I think it's a great game. I can't wait for the sequel.
Re: Take-Two Has Sold Its Private Division Subsidiary to an Unnamed Buyer
@PsBoxSwitchOwner Possibly yeah. Just seems crap.
Re: PS5 Pro Has a Remarkable Impact on Unpatched Games Too
@BlaizeV It's more about performance, check the framerate sections.
Re: More and More Games Tag on PS5 Pro Support Before Launch
@Mostik It's not on the list yet sadly.
Re: PS5 Pro Actually Gives You Almost All Its 2TB of Storage to use
Always useful! That's good news.
Re: Empire of the Ants' Creepy-Crawlies Will Move at 60fps on PS5 Pro
@Oram77 There was an article earlier in the week about this. Early indications are it's a lot better on PS5 Pro.

Great review, Scott. Shame about that bug but hopefully it's fixed swiftly.

PSSR putting in work!
Re: Slitterhead (PS5) - Inventive Horror Is Essential for Japan Studio Fans
@Gravytrain It's all opinion at the end of the day. Read the reviews and see if things liked/criticised align with your own taste in games.

Re: PS5 Dominates UK Black Ops 6 Sales, As Game Pass Causes Xbox Share to Collapse
@RBMango I don't believe they did, but they're generally extremely vague with all of their numbers anyway.
Which is of course their prerogative, it just makes any meaningful analysis extremely difficult when so much is obscured.
Re: PS5 Dominates UK Black Ops 6 Sales, As Game Pass Causes Xbox Share to Collapse
@IOI I'm not expecting much of a meaningful shift for Game Pass. There's no way it grows by 5 million.
Of course, we'll never get the data anyway.

Re: Fans Work Out Why Monster Hunter Wilds Feels So Weird and Weightless in PS5 Beta
I didn't really think the beta was all that personally. Very ugly visuals IMO and gameplay didn't feel that great.
Obviously I understand it's unfinished code etc etc I'm not making my final judgment based on this. But not the best first impression really.
Re: Official List of PS5 Pro Launch Games Revealed by Sony
@themightyant @wildcat_kickz This is the official list released by Sony. It's missing quite a lot really.
We have an unofficial list of everything announced here: https://www.pushsquare.com/guides/all-ps5-pro-enhanced-games

Re: PS5 Pro vs PS5: Full Tech Specs Comparison
@OldGamer999 There's no reason for any dev to be using FSR when PSSR is an option.
Re: Slitterhead (PS5) - Inventive Horror Is Essential for Japan Studio Fans
@lazarus11 Yeah it's disappointing they're not releasing that nice physical version in Europe.
Re: Slitterhead (PS5) - Inventive Horror Is Essential for Japan Studio Fans
@Rich33 Yes. It's a nice smooth 60fps on standard PS5.
Re: Slitterhead (PS5) - Inventive Horror Is Essential for Japan Studio Fans
@DonJorginho I fully expected the mixed reviews. It’s a janky game, but I liked it a lot overall. It’s weird and memorable in a way few games are.
Re: Slitterhead (PS5) - Inventive Horror Is Essential for Japan Studio Fans
@Titntin It’s not massive on jump scares but there are a few, yes. Generally it’s more just tense but they do hit you with a couple of jump moments.
Re: More People Are Playing the Original Horizon Zero Dawn Than Its Remaster on PC
@Steel76 Looks great to me?
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for November 2024?
How is this a crap selection? I swear sometimes you people are on another planet!
Re: PS5 Pro Could Seriously Improve the Quality of Your PS4 Games
@Runex2121 Ideally, a successful launch should be a product available for everyone who wants one to buy.
The idea that a system should be completely sold out so no one can buy it otherwise it’s not a success is an odd one.
Re: PS5 Pro Could Seriously Improve the Quality of Your PS4 Games
@AgentGuapo It won’t improve frame rates. This is about image quality/resolution.
Re: Fortnite Mixing It Up with Hip-Hop Chapter 2 Reboot
Snoop Dogg has kept himself very relevant for new generations through stuff exactly like this, and Eminem is obviously still popular.
I think both artists are still relevant for younger audiences.
Re: Interview: Metal Gear Would Be 'Too Much Pressure' for Vampire Survivors Maker
@GamingFan4Lyf He mentions in the interview that he started development with a Castlevania assets pack lol.

Yeah it's such a no brainer. So cheap and tons of value. Was great to talk with Luca!

Thanks for the review, James. I loved the first Planet Coaster so I'm hoping to get a few hours with this once the Xmas craziness is over!

@rjejr Oh if it's between Call of Duty and Infinity Nikki, I pick Nikki every time. Haha!
Re: Wolverine PS5 Lead Dev Leaves for Xbox's Perfect Dark Team
Marcus Smith is an Insomniac veteran so I'm confident the project is in very safe hands.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (PS5) - The Strongest Return to FPS Form
@SheerDisappointment The review says approximately eight hours.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered (PS5) - A Sublime Remaster of a Modern PlayStation Classic
@DiggleDog More or less, yes. Maybe not quite as dramatic as Dead Rising as that game was on 360 originally, but still a nice upgrade on what we had.
