Re: PS5 Pro Shows Real Promise in First Expert Analysis

Pretty much everyone on this site has a ps5 already (myself included), but if I didn’t, I’d definitely shell out for the Pro over the current model. That being said I’m personally not gonna buy a Pro on day 1, but I understand the market for this since many people are going to decide between this or the current model for their first PS5. Especially when Santa is looking for the right gift to put under the Christmas tree come December…

You’re also getting 2TB SSD, which is nothing to sneeze at, and worth some of the price difference itself. I’m no fanboy, and will probably make it through the rest of the generation with my current PS5, but I’m not blind to the overall consumer market either. Some people get a new phone or laptop every year. I hang on to a phone for three of four years and laptops for five or six, but when I do get one or the other, I buy the top of the line.

And as far as the comments disparaging the reporting of this hardware…well, just remember that you’re on a PlayStation site. 🙄

@Troubbble

I’m enjoying mine. You don't need a particularly stellar internet connection. I got it at launch and it was a bit laggy, but the lag has improved significantly after each update and it hasn’t ever been a problem for me in months.

I find it would be very useful for anyone who has to share the TV with family or roommates. It’s also been great for me with a new baby around because I can game through nap time, etc.

I hate that it doesn’t have a Bluetooth connection for audio. I spring for the PS Explore headphones, but that stung a bit since I already have a pair of AirPods Pro 2 that I really prefer to use.

Happy gaming!

Man you should’ve held out! I got it at launch and was regretting my purchase tbh. It stuttered, but also I forked out cash for the earbuds and they NEVER connected when (or where) I wanted them to. I stuck it out though and through updates everything is running very smoothly now.

I like to use mine to play chill games in bed, like Power Washer Pro, when I’m winding down. Also comes in handy on occasions when my wife wants to watch TV while I’d like to game. I’ll probably use it a bit more when I’m watching over my son later, but he’s just a couple months old now, so unless he’s sleeping it’s still all hands on deck. 😂

"Everything has been built from the ground up, which includes a complete graphical overhaul, new animations and mechanics for combat and parkour, and much more," writes Tom Henderson, adding it's also been rewritten and motion capture re-recorded.“

lol, yes. Thank you. Literally the dictionary definition of a remake. Anything short of that and it would be a remaster. These are not complicated vocabulary words to wrap your heads around. Glad they took a step back when they realized how poorly things were going.

I’m not sure if Helldivers 2 is the best game ever made. No, I wouldn’t say that. But it’s certainly taken the lion’s share of my attention. And deservedly so. Other than that I’ve been playing games that are easy to pause because I’ve got a newborn baby at home and practical logistics are a concern.
