Re: Best PS5 Headsets in 2025 - Enhance Your Audio Experience

@RiverGenie
Pulse Elite connects to the PS5 and phone (via Bluetooth) simultaneously. I know this article is about headsets but the Pulse Explore earbuds do too. It’s great for listening to audiobooks and playing Power Washer Simulator. 😎🤓 One day I’ll quit my day job and open a solo power washing business. A man can dream…

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Delayed Again, Now Out 20th March

I read the article, then came to the comments to post what I thought would be an “unpopular” opinion that delays are a good thing these days in a world where big games get pushed out early and half-baked and polished months or even years after release. I’m very glad to see that most of you on actually on the same page and realize it’s better to wait for a more refined game. We’ve got plenty to play anyway. Happy gaming!

Re: Black Ops 6 Is Going Free for a Whole Week on PS5, PS4

Too bad the campaign isn’t included. I liked the old campaigns. Like CoD 1 and 2. I remember them being grittier and liked them because they did not glorify war or make it “cool.” It felt more like the video game versions of Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers, where “war is hell” was the driving message. Maybe that’s all in my head but that was my takeaway at the time at least. Multiplayer CoD is a different bag altogether and not my cup of tea. This is great news if that’s what you’re into I guess, but I’ll pass on this offer…

Re: Opinion: The Price of Playing PS5 Games Day One Is Getting Higher and Higher

@Golem25

Ditto. I missed the PS4 generation, except for the last year. I’ve got a huge backlog of some of the best games in history. I don’t need to buy anything and I’d be set for years. Sometimes I still do though, mostly just when I want to play with friends who are firing up a new release. Or when I’m super duper excited for a game. Like Red Dead 3, which is coming out next month. Wait…what?

Re: PlayStation Fans Gleefully Snitch on 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro Scalpers

@1UP-HUSKY

The scalpers can go fly a kite. I hate scalpers, and I should have made that more clear in my initial response because I was in no way trying to defend them.

As to your question about what’s more important…well—to Sony—it’s whatever will make them more money. They have to decide that strategy and walk the line between generating hype or protecting their community “who will invest further.” I don’t know what’s better for them in the long run because I am no marketing expert and don’t particularly care for marketing in any case. But I bet they’ve got some people who get paid a bunch of money to sit around a big wooden table in a nice office somewhere and argue about it until they come up with an answer to your question.

On a personal and philosophical level I think corporate greed and always putting the bottom line first is one of the things wrong with our society in general, but I’m just trying to rationally think about what motivates these decisions…

Re: PS5 Pro Shows Real Promise in First Expert Analysis

Pretty much everyone on this site has a ps5 already (myself included), but if I didn’t, I’d definitely shell out for the Pro over the current model. That being said I’m personally not gonna buy a Pro on day 1, but I understand the market for this since many people are going to decide between this or the current model for their first PS5. Especially when Santa is looking for the right gift to put under the Christmas tree come December…

You’re also getting 2TB SSD, which is nothing to sneeze at, and worth some of the price difference itself. I’m no fanboy, and will probably make it through the rest of the generation with my current PS5, but I’m not blind to the overall consumer market either. Some people get a new phone or laptop every year. I hang on to a phone for three of four years and laptops for five or six, but when I do get one or the other, I buy the top of the line.

And as far as the comments disparaging the reporting of this hardware…well, just remember that you’re on a PlayStation site. 🙄

Re: PS Portal Is By Far the UK's Most Popular Gaming Accessory Right Now

@Troubbble

I’m enjoying mine. You don't need a particularly stellar internet connection. I got it at launch and it was a bit laggy, but the lag has improved significantly after each update and it hasn’t ever been a problem for me in months.

I find it would be very useful for anyone who has to share the TV with family or roommates. It’s also been great for me with a new baby around because I can game through nap time, etc.

I hate that it doesn’t have a Bluetooth connection for audio. I spring for the PS Explore headphones, but that stung a bit since I already have a pair of AirPods Pro 2 that I really prefer to use.

Happy gaming!
