I love how probably the most infamous and extreme singular vision of AAA releases is also such a positive beacon in all this chaos. Kind of fits perfectly.
@Sequel can you elaborate? Looks like a typical tactical (like the name suggests) game to me. I skipped trough the video and can't find roguelike elements. Do you have a timecode?
I played a few Outright Games recently because I am a sucker for racing games. But they are all sooooo soooo slow and handle like they are broken. It feels like a chore.
I was so incredibly pissed off when I downloaded the seemingly stand-alone release in the shop just to suddenly have Fortnite permanently added to my account. This is such a no-go to do without making it clear on the store entry.
Still would love to have it as a stand-alone release with 2gb size.
The game is re-creating the most generic horror movie cliche on purpose. Making an actual movie out of this is so weird. We have that movie already 100+ times.
Playing the PS4 version right at this moment (it's still on plus) and … it's kind of annoying. Completely a-hole characters, drawn out to no end and full of fake jump scares.
@AdamNovice I am huge into arthouse movies that have a similar vibe and pacing. Daft Punks's Electroma, Satantango, Stalker, Gerry, Elephant, Fonotune, The Brown Bunny etc.
And I would have never thought that somebody has the balls to do something like this in an AAA level game. This game should not exist and yet, it does. And I love it for that.
When the camera zoomed way out and the music started I got tears in my eyes and thought "I was not aware games are doing that"
I am old. In my days it was normal that a product is available for people to buy.
If something was sold out, it meant that the company doing it messed something up.
Now it's the other way around? Strange world. No wonder the young generation has no motivation to do anything anymore, if you are considered a failure, if you are not breaking records or producing something that is not sold out immediately.
I like that. The game is kind of an indie-movie. It's important that it exists, it makes a lot of people happy. But everybody can be really happy if they are not losing money in the end.
So what this publisher die is a really amazing move and I hope it will be appreciated by the community and press in the long run.

Re: Crummy Classic Sports Games Compiled in Accolade Sports Collection on PS5, PS4
That is a wild release. I wish we would get more of this stuff. No matter how obscure.
Re: Gaze in Awe at Official PS5 Pro Enhanced Label, Gracing Physical Game Boxes Soon
@Zeke68 you can just buy Empire of the Ants, remove the sticker carefully and put it on your copy of Bloodborne.
Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered (PS5) - A Sublime Remaster of a Modern PlayStation Classic
I never played the game and just watched the video. Every time I thought "wow" was - to my surprise - the PS4 version and not the PS5 remake.
Why is that? Is the original more artistic in it's visual decisions and the PS5 focusing more on realism?

Re: Poll: Are You Using the PS5's New Welcome Hub?
You can't boot the PS5 without landing on it first. So yeah. Everybody is "using" it by default.

Great. There goes my last spark of hope for Ridge Racer 8

Oh … I was ready to hate on it. But that looks fresh.

Yo. Also reporting from the German front.
Re: Mini Review: Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports (PS5) - Arcade Effort Doesn't Feel Great

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Silent Hill 2?
My answers are not an option.
I am not gonna play it because I am too afraid of that stuff. But I am sure that it's a masterpiece.

Re: Until Dawn (PS5) - Killer Teen Slasher Snags a Pricey New-Gen Remake
@Octaslasher your examples where from a time with huge differences in the generations and no way to play the OGs on the current hardware.
Completely different situations now. Especially with Until Dawn that is even on PS Plus in it's (good) PS4 version.

Beat me baby one more time
Re: This Silent Hill 2 PS5 vs PS2 Comparison Will Blow Your Mind
Never played it. But based on this video the PS2 version looks a lot cooler. The fixed camera and gritty aesthetic is awesome.
The remake looks … well like every other modern horror game tbh.
(All imo of course)
Re: As Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Turns 25, the Birdman All But Confirms There's More to Come
@lostlaserdroid Totally. The extreme sport titles on PS2 where so much my jam.
Most new games would save on music licenses though and it would just not be the same anymore.
Re: As Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Turns 25, the Birdman All But Confirms There's More to Come
@nessisonett all they have to do to satisfy me is adding more stages and music. Maybe a tiny update on the graphics, but it's no must.
Expanding on what is already there. Because that was dope and perfect.

Never cared about Kojima until DS. Now I am obsessed.

Love that dude and love the series.
My whole taste in music is based on THPS and Jackass
Re: Forgiving Gamers Are Contributing to The Day Before Devs’ New Kickstarter
@DennisReynolds I am not informed enough about this specific case. So I should not have commented I guess.
My opinion was more in general.
Re: Forgiving Gamers Are Contributing to The Day Before Devs’ New Kickstarter
A lot if ***** can go wrong doing a big project. It's fair to give them the go to finish their work.

Re: Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake Looks Absolutely Stunning in Latest Gameplay Trailer
Wasn't Toriyama at his peak during the SNES era? "Late" would be like the Sandland game.

The left pic looks better. I am confused.
Re: Anime GTA Neverness to Everness Could Be PS5's Next Big Thing
Argh that would look awesome if it would be a real game.

They talk candid about it and change stuff. Both are good things.

I am down with Lunar and Dino Crisis
Re: Mini Review: Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged (PS5) - Wonderful Remaster of One of the Best Adventure Games of All Time
I finished the GBA version of this one back then.
Re: Mini Review: Mister Mosquito (PS2) - Sony Classic Sucks in All the Right Ways
The described opening screen is exactly (!) what I love about the PS1/PS2 attitude. I miss this stuff SO MUCH!

Re: Fresh Marathon Details Cover Heroes, Pricing, and Bungie's Silence
I hate the trend of stuff getting criticisms by not releasing asap.
We all know what happens if stuff get released too soon.
Same with the Stardew Valley guy. Just let people work on their stuff without adding even more pressure.
Re: Mini Review: Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP (PS5) - A Sweet Return with a Bittersweet Bite
The soundtrack thing is just too much of an issue imo
It would be way worse to have a Tony Hawk game without the music. But LC also did rely a lot on the vibe the music brings.
Re: Horizon Zero Dawn's PS5, PC Remaster Is Very Much the Real Deal
I will play it because I never (really) spend time withe the original.
But having a full price remaster on a (still) new game is ridiculous imo.
Re: PS5, PS4's Long Awaited Skate Reboot Will Launch in Early Access Next Year
@nessisonett everything you just wrote gave me an existential crisis
Re: PS5, PS4's Long Awaited Skate Reboot Will Launch in Early Access Next Year
@McTwist now that you mention it … yeah! Where is the grit?
Thankfully for everything that puts pressure on Activision to get THPS 3+4 rolling though.
Re: UFO 50 Not Launching on PS5 This Week Is Bumming Us Out
Oh how cool is that.
Re: Suda 51 Says 'Everyone Cares Too Much About Metacritic Scores'
Same with movies. Harmony Korine movies are always around a 5 on IMDB.
It's a badge of honor. But sadly only for the people who already know what they are looking at.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for September 2024?
The PS2 selection is immaculate.
