@anon_pel222
They do, but there are two things that makes this stand out:
1 - Its a Sony product
2 - Its a PvE game, nerfs shouldn't be a thing.
In a PvE game you usually don't need nerfs, you need to buff the other alternatives in order to make them attractive, or better, you tweak the enemies and make them more vulnerable or less vulnerable to certain types of damage.
Welp, they did remove the points and not the whole feature because they knew this move will stink a lot and they'll have to reverse course once the refunds starts popping.
But hey, you have to signal something to the DEI crowd, despite that crowd not being the one spending money on your product.
The fact that sales dropped only by 2.4M without any other game besides Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin to carry hardware sales means the console still has momentum.
He isn't completely wrong about that. Xbox dev support for Asia is basically non-existent, and if you had the luck to get a Series devkit you still have to deal with stupid dev policies MS has, all that to sell less than it would sell on Switch/PS5 and PC.
And when I say stupid policies I really mean it. Things like mandatory parity which demands hardware specific optimisation, mobile compatibility if you wanna use xCloud services, etc. They even killed support for Xbone development which could be used to backport some games or some engines like MT Framework.
@Bingoboyop Given that we don't even have a PS4 version, I guess it would be a lot more work. Like, Capcom won't release MvC collection on Xbox because the engine used on that port, MT Framework, isn't compatible with Series S/X. Maybe the same thing is happening right now where the engine used on these ports aren't compatible with PS4/PS5, at least not right now.
We are still getting an influx of Fate games, Fate/Extra Record was just announced and Fate/Samurai Remnant sold within expectations, there's still a chance for a port for this one, either that or a full blown remake.
Gotta love how bots on other sites are blaming Jim Ryan for all this, dude isn't even the CEO anymore and Bungie's management problem has been known for a while.
All in all, Sony did give them a chance to fix their management before taking direct control... Which is more than what Tango and Arkane Austin were given.
Honestly this paints Braid more as a product of its time rather than a commercial failure.
Same thing would happen if a Super Meat Boy or Fez Anniversary Edition were to release, not many people would buy those games because, well, you got way too many options of indies nowadays and many of those games are more polished than what we had back then.
Not a fan of Sektor and Cyrax new design nor the fact that they've been genderbent, Noob is looking awesome as aways and guests are not bad at all either, I'm digging that Ghostface and Conan. Also still no signs of Sonya Blade, why NR, why?!
Anyways, glad to see MK1 getting new content, game seemed dead even at EVO.
Hah, as if the industry won't outsource their work if SAG-AFTRA becomes a pain in the butt.
Also, one and a half year without a deal means the companies are telling you to kindly F off and that they'll go through, after all the ones who will judge if AI generated assets is bad or not in the end is the consumer.
Well, there are more chances of a person finding a character they like in Marvel Rivals. Plus it looks less generic than Concord.
Anyways, my take on this whole GaaS thing is if Sony wants to do it they have to look into other genres. EVO was a blast this last weekend, why not invest in a F2P live service fighting game since you already own the event?
The same people defending Ubisoft are the ones complaining about MiHoYo. Anyways the fact remains that this is the first AC where we won't play as someone native to the region... Guess the japanese aren't worth in Ubisoft's eyes
"Concord is a good game – but sometimes being good just isn’t enough anymore."
No, not really. I mean, if it was even remotely good it would attract numbers. Concord is a solid game from a technical standing, but it is FAR from being good.
@Rodimusprime1313 Playstation isn't their main source of revenue, semiconductors and camera sensors are, to the point almost every phone in the world have their sensors.
Playstation is their most famous brand and the one making news for Sony.
@DennisReynolds Nioh is made by a japanese developer, and Nioh also wasn't trying to be anything other than an action game with some japanese background.
Say, have actual people from Africa and South America who also actually play the game spoke against it? If not then I don't care, its a nothingburger and should be treated as one.
Just like Assassin's Creed Shadow and Netflix Cleopatra, let the people who were actually offended speak and take action agains it.
Given that Sly Cooper is the biggest PS Classic hit so far, surpassing Legend of Dragoon, I guess people care less about pinpoint performance than Digital Foundry does.
But then again, DF does complain if there's a 1~2 FPS fluctuation bellow the 60FPS threshold so...
Given that I've seen people with physical disabilities play DS1~3, Sekiro, BB and ER I guess this really isn't about difficulty.
One thing that I noticed is that people who complain about this kind of game have either no avaiable time to sit down and learn or have a shorter attention spam, and sometimes they have both.
Yeah, not going to happen. Unlike Microsoft, both Sony and Nintendo sell in a lot of countries where digital only isn't possible, and it ain't a small number either.
Going full digital would help them to cut costs? Maybe, but they also would lose a lot of customers on those countries, leading to less sales overall.
@themightyant I mean, it is normal to assume XSS is the problem here since it has a notorious memory bandwidth problem that requires a fine tuned memory management. If it wasn't for that it would be similar to XSX and PS5, but that one aspect breaks the box entirely.
Also, if PS4 Pro is anything to go by, development for PS5 Pro and base PS5 will be same thing, you just turn some settings on if you're running on Pro to let the game know it can use more resources now.
@Vdweller Actually this metric has been around since PS2 era and hasn't changed that much. And most of them don't even know why they didn't finish the game.
I don't know about that, photorealism is more of a sympton than the problem.
The problem itself is that most big companies don't know how to manage a project, which leads to overspending on a project that didn't need a lot of money to begin with, it also lead to scope creep, mismanagement of resources and so on.
Case in point: Capcom and Sega both have been selling well, most of their game have photorealistic elements on them, but also most of their games have a limited scope and they chose a hybrid of stylized and realistic art direction in order to convey a pleasant visual experience. A good example of project management done right, they develop a game around a budget and turn profit at around 1M~2M sales.
On the other hand you have Square, who thinks that blowing their budget on graphics will make people buy their games.
Miyazaki mentioned the game twice this year and expressed his wishes to see the game again, Sony put a BB thing on Astrobot.
I'm willing to bet they are cooking something for either 2025 or 2026... mainly because PS5 Pro and because by that time Miyazaki would have free time to be a consultant for anything related to any new BB project.
Just a reminder that Sony never promised 8K for games and all the time they talked about the feature it was to promote 8K media playback, which PS5 is capable to handle and so is basically any gpu released after 2018.
The main problem here is that native 8K never took off and the industry found cheaper to use AI upscale on TVs, which renders the feature kinda useless not only on PS5 but on everything that had the 8K seal of approval, which include many Denon, Onkyo, Marantz and other receivers/media players.
Yeah, it doesn't work that way Heman. You won't convert anyone, people who have a PS5 also have a PC for gaming and probably a Switch too, and people who use PC as their main platform play games way different than what PS Studios offer right now.
@Americansamurai1 I doubt they'll ever recover from that. The whole PSN login fiasco and the subsequent ban on 170+ countries burned a lot of good will from PC community.
Being on GamePass means that 70B hole is about to get bigger since you won't get sales from Xbox and have to rely on PC and PS5 to carry those numbers.

Dunno, but I will probably pick this game once its on sale.
The OG one was good and I can picture the remake being good too.
Re: Arrowhead Unveils 60-Day Plan to Placate Rebellious Helldivers 2 Fans
I'd say they have less than 60 days to fix anything, W40k Space Marine 2 is releasing next month and its pretty damn close to what HD2 offers.

The fact that MS is negotiating instead of just selling them away means raises some eyebrows, but overall good news for Tango.
I hope Krafton realizes Tango's worth more than MS ever did.

Its considered a war crime by the Geneva Convention.

People can't have fun taking innapropriate shots of zombies in a DEI filled world.
Killing them is fine though for some reason.
Killing a dead corpse is allowed but taking pictures of them isn't, let that sink in.
