I actually appreciate the on-rails design of naughty dog games these days.

Makes a nice change to open world design which most others go for.

Ubisoft seem to be seriously badly managed. How guillemot is still in charge I have no idea.

I’ll pick this up eventually but would like to see some pro enhancements before I do.

After being sick over the price reveal I’m now over it and excited for 7th Nov for my preorder to arrive!

Always found halo to be overrated tbh. Doubt I’d be interested in going back even if it is on ps5.

I don’t consider myself a framerate snob but going from 60fps last gen to 30fps this gen seems pretty poor better visuals or not.

@Boucho11 exactly, series x was already supposedly the most powerful console this gen (debatable) and it didn’t help them slay that’s for sure!

Nothing for me out of this list though if the pro doesn’t sell too well and there’s some Black Friday deals I’ll likely grab one.

I’ll buy it for £30 in 6 months after updates have improved performance etc.

@TomasVrboda I agree live service shooters definitely seem to be the biggest gamble in gaming. There’s clearly a very high risk for high reward but the failure rate is high.

Like I’ve said before they’d probably get better odds taking that money down the casino.

Sony could have sold 10x the 30th anniversary pro easily. Not sure why they limited it so much.

On the one hand I’m all up for more single player games, on the other I hope we don’t now just get sequel after sequel from the same franchises.

Happy with a portable device of some sort but definitely not an Xbox x/s situation.

The fact this team includes many ex-bungie staff isn’t surprising either. Seems like they all have an arrogant “we can’t be touched” attitude, probably as a result of halos success and they seem deluded.

Bungies a mess, firewalk seem to be a mess and hulst needs to take a good look at them and himself before more disasters happen.

Crazy the money sony spent on bungie and now it seems this game.

As others have said, PS needs the likes of shu, Andrew house and co back who actually know what they’re doing. I have no confidence with hulst in charge after all these missteps.

Damn I hate they’re including an edge with the pro as that’s gonna drastically hike the price up again 🤨 why are they making this so difficult 😥

@Bionic-Spencer same I switched properly the end of the x360/ps3 era (though I did have a ps1 and vita) and haven’t missed Xbox at all since.

Their disastrous xbone reveal and constant missteps have made me glad I did, though Sony seem a bit shaky at the moment I’m sure they’ll get back on track.

Out of all the examples that were shown it was the framerate of Ratchet that really stood out to me. Was super smooth.

@johncalmc I think people (myself included) have more of an issue with resources being taken away from other new games/IP.

Instead of a PS5 remaster of this which still looks great on PS4 and is backward compatible the dev teams responsible could have spent those man hours on something new. Maybe help naughty dog, sucker punch etc with their output?

It’s not comparable with past consoles when taking inflation into account as those consoles all came with a drive. Add the drive price to the pro and the like-for-like price is much higher.

Overpaid by a couple billion imo.
