The Stellar Blade controversy is not overblown at all. They explicitly stated the game would not be censored, then did go ahead and censor it!

In this Helldivers case, they did communicate the PSN requirement prior to the game's release, so these players can't complain!

Managed to get many hours of enjoyment playing Rebirth and Unicorn Overlord remotely via the Portal. Of course, I had to configure router settings to get it working outside of my home connection (setting up a dedicated backport) but it was all worthwhile!

Nah, I'll skip this one since it isn't possible to play solo.

Good month. Reminds me of FIFA 22 being given as an Essential title 2 years ago also in May. I'd never buy those sports games but I enjoy playing them from time to time. Tunic is the highlight of the month, amazing title.

I'd have bought this game had it been released in a physical format. There's simply no way I am spending £50 on a digital game.

Why are people defending this disgusting practice? The fact remains that they promised the game would not be censored, yet they went ahead and censored it, which is blatant lying.
Most people couldn't care less about the appearance of the modifications, the main issue here is the blatant misleading and lying.

Wonder if they'll go the same route as Unicorn Overlord and skip the PS4 physical version... Hopefully not.

Rebirth at #1 was a given. Glad to see my vote Unicorn Overlord make it into the top 10.

What an excellent read! I bought the Collector's Edition of Unicorn Overlord and rushed to finish the endless Rebirth in order to finally start it up. Loving this game, Vanillaware never ever disappoint!

Too busy with other games, gotta finish Rebirth and then start Unicorn Overlord, hopefully managing to finish the latter before Stellar Blade is released

Still on Rebirth two weeks on. Only halfway through according to the Game Progress function on the PS5. Once I've completed it, I'll start Unicorn Overlord.

This is not surprising. The PS4 has amazing longevity. To put things into perspective:

PS3 release date: November 2006
PS4 release date: November 2013
PS5 release date: November 2020

We're in March 2024, 10⅓ years post-PS4 launch and 3⅓ years post-PS5 launch. The vast majority of games being released are available on PS4. The next FFXIV expansion, Dawntrail, will also be released on PS4.

The equivalent of this was March 2017, 10⅓ years post-PS3 launch and 3⅓ years post-PS4 launch. The only games released on PS3 that year were Persona 5, PES 2017, NBA 2K18, FIFA 18, and barely half a dozen of small indie titles. The FFXIV expansion of that year, Stormblood, was not released on PS3.

The PS4 sure is impressive, what an achievement.

Just when you begin to think Atlus can't get any more anti-consumer than they already are, you get another revelation to prove you wrong. Unbelievable.

So scummy from their part. After the whole Persona 5 debacle (many bought the game 3 times), I'd decided to only buy Atlus games second hand so that they don't get a penny from me.

Another day, another disgusting Atlus lie, can't wait to read their next one!

I'd rate it 9/10 after 48 hours of gametime, the very obnoxious minigames are the reason I can't give it a 10

As for Vanillaware, it's defo one of my favourite devs.

Tokyo Xanadu was my first ever Falcom game, and it introduced me to my favourite franchises in gaming: Ys and Trails. Can't wait for this one!

Second-hand purchases only when it comes to Atlus titles on my part. People shouldn't give them their hard-earned money with these shady practices. Their statements are pure lies.
