@JAMes-BroWWWn I agree, the soundtrack really stood out. There was a track which played during chaotic scenes, where it almost sounded like someone forcing an old record player to play in reverse. It captured the scene perfectly

@ApostateMage @Agramonte I agree, she's exceptional. The character of Amicia is so well written & acted. She has flaws, vulnerabilities, & a wide range of emotions over the course of the game (and boy does she go through alot!) The result is outstanding character development, making others (Aloy for example) come across as planks of wood in comparison.

I don't care really, that's why I play on console. Plug, play, accept it for what it is. If you want 60 on every game, get a decent PC. It's not like Sony hasn't been training you up towards that anyway!

I'll be starting A Plague Tale: Requiem, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope, with a bit of Top Gear on the snes as well.

Playstation were the only ones of the big 3 giving us fresh new IP each gen, it was probably the biggest draw for alot of gamers. Xbox would shove Halo, Gears, Forza down your throat ad nausea, Nintendo the same with Mario, Zelda & reselling you the same old games til the end of time.
Playstation always seemed to be above that, giving you good reason to upgrade to the latest console with great new IP to demonstrate it.
Now, they seem just as boring as the other 2, and that's really disappointing. And all these TV shows coinciding with games? It just feels like what MS attempted to do with Quantum Break, somehow feeling even more desperate for relevance.
Announce some new (non Marvel) games already, stop thinking you're Nintendo, & just pull your head out of your ass.

This gen started off with a bang, but since then has all but completely fizzled out for me. Sequels, remakes, Marvel, Star Wars, Marvel zzzzzzzzz...
PS5 has sold more than enough consoles to justify some exclusive games, never been a problem for any other console in the past, even for those with much fewer units sold.
This gen really has been so dissapointing so far, I rarely play my PS5 these days.

What a coincidence, just this week I bought Scooby Doo: Night Of 100 Frights for Gamecube😁 Looking forward to trying it, tis the season & all.
Apart from that maybe some Splatoon 3 & Valkyrie Elysium.

I gave it a try, got past the tiger, then had enough. I can see why some people might like it, but I didn't enjoy it that much. It felt a bit clunky, and controls unresponsive (or I'm just that crap at it). But most of all, I think I'm a bit over the souls style games at the moment.

Some awesome looking stuff in there, namely Call Of Ronin, Ragnarok, & Like A Dragon: Ishin (just hook it directly into my veins!)
That mech game looked interesting too. So yeah, good stuff.

Why not announce a pointless remake to go along side this & your upcoming Star Wars game, go for the full melatonin trifecta? So boring

Didn't buy it. I respect my time & money a bit too much. ($125 in Australia, yeah right...)
Plus I've always thought this game was super duper overrated. People always bang on about the story, but very rarely the gameplay. And that's because it's average at best. It seems frequent in gaming these days, go watch a movie, read a book (or play one of the Yakuza games) if you want a decent story.
This is my opinion, so if you don't agree, that's ok. I really don't care.

I think they should both shut their mouths & focus on creating fresh, new experiences for their current gen consoles. Because as it is, this gen has so far been about as exciting as....well.....a yearly iteration of Call Of Duty😐

On PS5 I've been playing Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed, which I'm enjoying alot. I'm also playing Klonoa: Phantasy Reverie for Switch.

Though I'm a bit confused regarding your praise for the story in Insomniac's Spiderman. It was pretty ordinary, and
seeing as we're comparing, the latest Spiderman movie (No Way Home) absolutely destroys it a million times over.

@Serialsid I mostly agree. For me, it was a fairly average story, elevated by excellent performances from the entire cast.

I believe games and movies should be kept separate. Once you inject a game's story into a movie, it shows how terrible, or average (at best) the writing really is. With Ghost being no exception.

I'm still dipping in & out of 13 Sentinels, took a break recently to play through Stray & TMNT. But mostly I'm playing my Gamecube, Starfox Assault & Twilight Princess.

Soapbox: I have no doubt in my mind that Stray would've topped the charts with or without PS plus extra. There was bugger all competition, and people love cats.

In a perfect world we'd be getting an enhanced Gravity Rush collection for PS5 (leading up to a part 3) in September, while The Last Of Us sits on the sideline peeling oranges.

The real tragedy here is that Naughty Dog haven't released a new IP since the PS3 era. One of the biggest benefits of being a PS fan used to be the excitement of new IP each gen. Now they just seem kinda safe & boring, like Nintendo & MS.

I can understand why. Back in 1900's (nes, snes, etc) games came with manuals, often filled with some nice illustrations, and the box art was usually great.
Nowadays you get no manual, a quarter of the game actually on the disc, and frankly atrocious box art with some goober just staring at you like an fool.

I do enjoy reading statistics like these.
If you pat your belly while rubbing your head & squint really hard, the PS5 performed 1.8976% better than the PS6 a decade into the future from now. (But was still beaten in raw numbers by the Switch U Wii Wii)

I think the real bummer is that we haven't seen anything new from Naughty Dog since the PS3 days.

I've been playing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, & enjoying it quite alot. The characters, writing, & voice acting are all top notch. The RTS battle sections are really fun too. I'm surprised at how much I'm getting in to this one actually. Have a nice weekend everyone!

The only interesting thing Ubisoft has in the future is the new Mario + Rabbids game. Assassin's Creed sucks now, as does Far Cry, Ghost Recon, etc

Hopefully in the future Playstation announce their future titles a bit closer to the release date. The recent Last Of Us Part 1 reveal is a good example.
I want this game out so we can move on & hear about whatever else Playstation have been working on (of course I'll play and enjoy it though)

How does this keep happening? It's every month now! Sony should just let these guys officially announce the plus games at this rate lol
That said, Crash 4 is a great time. A tough bugger though!
