Re: 'It Makes Sense Why the PS5 Pro Price Is So High,' Say Tech Experts

@Zeke68 you’ve said nothing again.

I’m not a PC nerd either, I have a gaming laptop that has been used once in 5 years and that was for a week long Sims 4 binge and a failed attempt at installing Battlefront 2 mods.

I’ve been playing consoles since 1996.

It’s you who doesn’t understand and no matter how many times you use bold or capitalised text, your argument is still going to fall through the cracks because it’s uneducated.

You are ignoring all the costs of developing and shipping this machine across greatly varying global markets. With no account for inflation or the fact that gaming is a luxury hobby.

This is not a console for the general consumer, its for people who want more from their console, like they would a PC when upgrading parts.

Honestly calm down, think about what your saying and the “facts” of your argument, and you’ll realise that this conversation has been a wash since your first reply.

@Zeke68 “This is a console, NOT A PC!!! sigh” - literally you bringing up PC.

“do you realise how much PC’s cost?
Have you seen the specs inside the PS5 Pro?” - literally me addressing you bringing up PC clearly suggesting the price shouldn’t be close to the same because its not PC.

Yet PS5 Pro is using PC like components to be more powerful, therefore justifying its price.

It seems it is you sir, who has reading difficulties as well as a clear lack of understanding of how things work in this industry.

The problem is for some reason people act like video games aren’t a luxury hobby, when they are.

Some of the same complainers will happily by a new phone every year or two despite minimal upgrades.

If the console is too expensive for you, then maybe it isn’t for you.

PS4 Pro wasn’t for everyone, and still sold well. Same will happen for the PS5 Pro.

I’ll copy and paste my comment from months ago saying the same thing:

“People not understanding the importance of live service for PlayStation’s future, and being able to continue making all the amazing 1st party titles is honestly scary.
Not supporting the initiative that will literally fund the current and next generation of games from Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Santa Monica etc.
Its almost as if these people in the PushSquare comments have never read a single article containing Shawn Layden quotes.
Sad times.“

The thought process you all have is genuinely scary and shows a complete lack of understanding for how things work.

Did you see how little money Spider-Man makes from the leak? Risks like that will benefited so much more from a GaaS that takes off even close to Fortnite levels.

Single Player is the bread and butter of PlayStation, but that bread and butter is getting more costly every generation.

Shawn Layden said it, i’m just a believer in the truth of it, something you all apparently are not.

Re: Sony Appears to Be Dabbling with Written User Reviews on the PS Store

This is already a greatly flawed system.

I got an email about reviewing Fortnite. Only realised when going to do so that I actually never downloaded Fortnite on my UK account, so I simply “Added to Library” and it let me review. If this is possible for other games its going to be a nightmare.

Anyway, I reviewed the game, and then read some reviews afterwards, and the nonsense 1 star reviews shown exactly why this will not work.
