I’m not a PC nerd either, I have a gaming laptop that has been used once in 5 years and that was for a week long Sims 4 binge and a failed attempt at installing Battlefront 2 mods.
I’ve been playing consoles since 1996.
It’s you who doesn’t understand and no matter how many times you use bold or capitalised text, your argument is still going to fall through the cracks because it’s uneducated.
You are ignoring all the costs of developing and shipping this machine across greatly varying global markets. With no account for inflation or the fact that gaming is a luxury hobby.
This is not a console for the general consumer, its for people who want more from their console, like they would a PC when upgrading parts.
Honestly calm down, think about what your saying and the “facts” of your argument, and you’ll realise that this conversation has been a wash since your first reply.
@Zeke68 “This is a console, NOT A PC!!! sigh” - literally you bringing up PC.
“do you realise how much PC’s cost? Have you seen the specs inside the PS5 Pro?” - literally me addressing you bringing up PC clearly suggesting the price shouldn’t be close to the same because its not PC.
Yet PS5 Pro is using PC like components to be more powerful, therefore justifying its price.
It seems it is you sir, who has reading difficulties as well as a clear lack of understanding of how things work in this industry.
I’ll copy and paste my comment from months ago saying the same thing:
“People not understanding the importance of live service for PlayStation’s future, and being able to continue making all the amazing 1st party titles is honestly scary.
Not supporting the initiative that will literally fund the current and next generation of games from Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Santa Monica etc.
Its almost as if these people in the PushSquare comments have never read a single article containing Shawn Layden quotes.
Sad times.“
The thought process you all have is genuinely scary and shows a complete lack of understanding for how things work.
Did you see how little money Spider-Man makes from the leak? Risks like that will benefited so much more from a GaaS that takes off even close to Fortnite levels.
Single Player is the bread and butter of PlayStation, but that bread and butter is getting more costly every generation.
Shawn Layden said it, i’m just a believer in the truth of it, something you all apparently are not.
I got an email about reviewing Fortnite. Only realised when going to do so that I actually never downloaded Fortnite on my UK account, so I simply “Added to Library” and it let me review. If this is possible for other games its going to be a nightmare.
Anyway, I reviewed the game, and then read some reviews afterwards, and the nonsense 1 star reviews shown exactly why this will not work.
It is a hard one to approach anyway you look at it.
I just worry about those who just skip to the end to read the final summation and score, but I guess if their not willing to read the full review they shouldn’t be playing the game anyway.

Re: Poll: Would You Buy PS5 Pro If It Was Cheaper?
I was hoping for £549.99 - £599.99 before it was announced.
Would definitely be day 1 at that price.
Re: 'It Makes Sense Why the PS5 Pro Price Is So High,' Say Tech Experts
@Zeke68 You thought you was that guy with this reply 😂 do you realise how much PC’s cost?
Have you seen the specs inside the PS5 Pro?
You’ve just destroyed your entire argument with that reply. Never play yourself.
Re: 'It Makes Sense Why the PS5 Pro Price Is So High,' Say Tech Experts
@GreatAuk exactly!
Thank you for being one of few who actually understand and make sense of it.
Re: 'It Makes Sense Why the PS5 Pro Price Is So High,' Say Tech Experts
@Zeke68 you’ve genuinely said nothing here.
Gaming is a luxury hobby. That can come with a cost, of which the PS5 Pro does.
Sony rarely sells consoles at a profit. And no doubt they aren’t making any here either or at least very little.
I’m sure if PS6 is £1000 it’ll still sell a ton no doubt.
Re: 'It Makes Sense Why the PS5 Pro Price Is So High,' Say Tech Experts
The problem is for some reason people act like video games aren’t a luxury hobby, when they are.
Some of the same complainers will happily by a new phone every year or two despite minimal upgrades.
If the console is too expensive for you, then maybe it isn’t for you.
PS4 Pro wasn’t for everyone, and still sold well. Same will happen for the PS5 Pro.
Re: Talking Point: Is PS5 Pro Way Too Expensive?
@Kienda you being poor doesn’t make it absurd though, objectively.
I can’t afford it either but its not absurd, £800+ would be absurd.
Re: Talking Point: Is PS5 Pro Way Too Expensive?
Its not absurd, all the votes for that are mad tbh.
But it is too expensive. £599.99 or £549.99 would have been acceptable but £699.99 is too much.
Re: PS5 Pro Can Run PS4 Games Better Via Improved Backwards Compatibility
A “Pro Game Boost” is the closest we’re getting to Bloodborne 60fps
Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November
Shafted in the UK again.
Should be £549.99 max.
We’ll never recover from Brexit ffs.
Re: Mini Review: Rugrats: Adventures In Gameland (PS5) - Fun and Frustration in This Nostalgia Trip
They need to get Search for Reptar on as a PS1 Classic
Re: No Campaign Early Access for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Weird decision tbh.
I’ve enjoyed playing the campaign early in the past few years and getting it done before Multiplayer goes live so i’m ready for day 1.
Re: Yakuza Wars Appears to Be a Mobile Game as Social Media Page Spotted
Absolutely on board if its good.
We already get a new Yakuza almost every year, sometimes 2 in 1.
So having a game I can play on the go too will be great.
Re: Black Ops 6 Nerfs Its Best Weapon for Second PS5, PS4 Beta Weekend
I doesn’t feel like it, feels the exact same as beta weekend 1 🤷🏻♂️

Ridiculous.
Re: Mini Review: Vampire Survivors (PS5) - Indie Icon Should Come with a Health Warning
Should be a 10/10 lets be honest.

Re: How Much Would You Pay for Your PS5 Games? Dev Says Industry Is Waiting for GTA 6 to Hike Prices
Some of the takes on never paying full price for a game is why GaaS are being born left right and centre.
Its like you don’t realise you are part of the problem 🙄

Amazing offering here.

Re: Crash Bandicoot 5 Reportedly Cut in Favour of More Live Service Games
@jrt87 its amazing how wrong that last part of your comment is about PlayStation.
Literally the reason to support Concorn is to fund PlayStation’s future single player games and yet people still can’t understand that.
Re: Sony to Short-Change PS Stars Members with PS Plus Renewals Starting Next Year
God people just moan about everything!
And most if not all complaints are from people who don’t even use the feature 🙄
Grow up.
Re: Xbox on Bringing Exclusives to PS5: The Industry Is Changing for All of Us
He’s basically just said that Microsoft have forced them to do this.
Makes sense, cause GamePass isn’t profitable and they need to make money somewhere.

Early Access on Xbox.
Full refined version on PS5.
Love to see it.

Re: Rumour: Xbox to Announce a 'Big' Game Coming to PS5 at Gamescom
@Zriggin1 thank you for this reply, been a stressful day and work and this genuinely made me belly laugh.
Every section was wrong 😂
Re: Rumour: Xbox to Announce a 'Big' Game Coming to PS5 at Gamescom
@FatalBubbles no they’re not.
But Forza is greatly overrated. DriveClub and GT are far better than either Forza have ever been.
The Crew just needs to pick a lane.
Re: Rumour: Xbox to Announce a 'Big' Game Coming to PS5 at Gamescom
If it’s Forza, keep it.
PS already has the better racer and i’m tired of this narrative that Forza is better.

Re: Randy Pitchford Teases Borderlands 4 After Tirade Over Flop Movie Adaptation
Borderlands is a great co-op game for gameplay, 2 being the best.
But outside of the same thing over and over, there’s nothing really there story wise to shout about.
Movie is still garbage though.
Re: CrossCode Creator Reveals Gorgeous Pixel Action RPG Alabaster Dawn
Nice!
Crosscode was excellent so can’t wait for this.
Re: Unsurprisingly, the Borderlands Movie Has Completely Bombed
Watched it on Saturday, such a bad film.
I feel like Borderlands would do great as a 18+ with blood, gore and swearing like the games.
Plus it’d be nice if they cast people correctly, Lilith (Cate Blanchett) and Tannis (Jamie Lee) were shockingly bad casts.

Re: Sony Appears to Be Dabbling with Written User Reviews on the PS Store
This is already a greatly flawed system.

I find these reviews so weird cause the cons only exist in a modern lens.
Re: You'll Be Able to Play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Zombies in Third-Person
All signs point to a great all round Call of Duty this year 🙌🏻
Re: You'll Be Able to Play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Zombies in Third-Person
@Ribbitsneed Black Ops 4 was multiplayer only, Black Ops 5 is Cold War
Re: The Order: 1886 Dev Ready at Dawn to Close After VR Stint
@Deityjester could it have been longer? Sure. should it have been longer? Yeah probably.
But what it did I was very satisfied with and the sequel, likely titled 1887, would have only improved on everything that came before.
Re: Fortnite Adds Option to Buy Its Battle Pass Rewards After 18 Months
Wish they’d done this for the X-Men battle pass a few years back
Re: The Order: 1886 Dev Ready at Dawn to Close After VR Stint
A game that absolutely needed a sequel.
