@LifeGirl They’ve clearly put a lot of time and effort into the game and gone well above and beyond what was promised and still continue to release everything for free. They made a mistake with the release, no one can deny that, but they’ve definitely redeemed themselves enough. They could have stopped after a few updates. I’m glad the game is a success.
I’ve just played the tutorial and a little bit of the first mission and it seems decent enough so far. I can imagine it being quite fun with 3 other players. Tbh I think the 3D graphics aren’t as bad as people are making them out to be and most of the time it does look like the show. I need to play more to see how quickly repetition kicks in but so far so good.
Maybe this is another Suicide Squad where people are hating on it a lot more than they should because it’s not the sequel they wanted.
@RoomWithaMoose My girlfriend and I are both gamers and our living room set up is two 55” TV’s next to each other with our own PS5’s under each one. It’s awesome and I could never go back to just sharing one TV lol. It makes co-op games more enjoyable when you can also watch the other person play.
Back to the Tomb Raider Trilogy for me after just finishing Rebirth. My plan was to stick with and beat all the Tomb Raider games back to back but I’ve decided to take a break and move onto a different game after each one. Already had burn out after finishing the first game and its expansion. So once I’m done with Tomb Raider II I might crack on with Chernobylite.
@Player_1_Ready it’s not as good as Remake? Personally, I think Rebirth trumps it in every way and I can see a lot of people here probably feel the same. The amount of effort that went into this game and creating the world makes Remake look like a glorified tutorial/demo.
I’ll be playing Rebirth, which is continuing to impress the further I get. I simultaneously want to continue the story but also do all the side stuff as well. Just got to Cosmo Canyon and it’s exactly how I hoped it would be.
I will also be giving Outlast Trials a try later with my girlfriend and some Saturday night drinks.
Loved the demo, and these sorts of games aren’t usually my thing. But once I’ve finished my backlog of games I’m definitely thinking of picking it up. The art style is amazing and the gameplay was addictive. Also, while the story so far seemed rather generic, it still kept me hooked and the characters seemed likeable enough.
Tried the game this morning. Did the tutorial and one of the trials on my own and I can tell it’s gonna be great with friends. I was also surprised at how well they kept the outlast feeling and also really impressed with the environments and graphics.
Not usually my sort of game but I tried the demo because I like free things and spent over an hour playing it. I decided to stop in the end because it’s highly unlikely I’d spend £55 on the full game.
So many games I’d like to buy, but I’m committed to Tomb Raider I-III remastered at the moment and that’s a lot of games to play including the expansions. Also got Rebirth to play too, another big game
Just finished Tomb Raider 1 Remastered with a respectable 81% trophies and will now be playing the Unfinished Business expansion, which so far seems more brutal than the original. Hopefully get the plat on Roots of Patcha tonight too, and also I’ll be playing some Suicide Squad with my brother on Sunday.
Also may have to play a few missions on Helldivers 2
My single player game will be Tomb Raider Remastered Trilogy. Loving it so far, despite the amount of times I’ve accidentally loaded a save instead of saving. The plan is to beat all the games and expansions in time for FFVII Rebirth.
Also be continuing Roots of Patcha co-op with my girlfriend, which is amazing! And between all that I’ll be squatting some bugs in Helldivers 2.
I actually enjoyed the beta so might pick it up down the line. I only played it for an hour or so though so I’m not sure if repetition will start kicking in
@Pedski I can see why there was no physical release at launch now after all these updates. Maybe the plan is to release it when they can finally sit back and say there’s nothing left to fix.
I’ve read that this game will have co-op, which if true is a day one buy for my girlfriend and I. We’ve played most survival games on PlayStation and are looking forward to this and smalland
I tried the beta last night for an hour and surprisingly enjoyed what I played. I couldn’t find the wood needed for a ship though even though I went to the icons on the map. Is it a case of other players grabbing it first and I have to wait for it to spawn back?
I’ve already preordered the game, but I’ll give the demo a try anyways seeing as it’s probably stuff I’ve already seen from the gameplay demonstrations.
Can someone explain how the single player story works? Is there one town hub and you just go out to different areas and then come back to town, like in monster hunter? Or is it more like Tales of Arise, With proper exploration and multiple towns?
Rebirth is my most anticipated game this year by a long shot. Might have to give Remake another play through before it’s released. Gonna be hard playing through the dim areas of Midgar after seeing the open green fields in Rebirth.
Been wanting to play a co-op game like Stardew Valley with my girlfriend and we’ve found a similar game on the store called Roots of Pacha. We’ll be giving that a try tonight.
The trailers look interesting, but I’m still not sure what this game is besides shooting. Is it missions with objectives or waves of enemies? Is there a story to play through? It looks fun but the low price makes me question the games replay value.
This is just going to encourage players to run off on their own trying to be a one person army. I already get grouped with players who focus on kills closer to the enemy spawn over defending objectives and this will probably make it worse.
Can’t wait!!! I’m glad it’s more open and it also makes sense. Leaving Midgar and first running around the world map in the original FFVII is one of my fav gaming memories as a child. It was the first time I’d experienced a world that big with the choice of where to go.
Also, funny story. As FFVII was the first RPG my brothers and I had ever played we used a guide from one of the PlayStation magazines back in the day. They had titled the world map section of the guide ‘part 2’ and we’d also never played a multi disc game before either… so once we read that we immediately took the first disc out and put the second one in. Needless to say our game wouldn’t load any of the games areas after that and we didn’t know why.
It was ok. There was no weight to the combat and the story mode just felt like I was playing a multiplayer game on my own. Pluuuus the boss took way to long to kill!
I had a statue made of my character and naturally I wanted him to bare all! Whenever I examine the statue his… manly… area… still jiggles when you move it around, despite being made of stone.
@ralphdibny Ive noticed how they purposely make mistakes in adverts. Especially on puzzle games, even if the solution is obvious. It’s never worked on me but I bet a lot of people will download the games just because they see the solution.
@Voltan Yeah, everyone ***** on the game have already made up their minds before even giving it a try. I must admit, I didn’t have a ton of interest in the game but after giving the alpha a try it’s now a day one purchase.
Im gonna be cracking on with getting 100% in Forspoken, which from the looks of it might take a few weeks because the map is unnecessarily large. Also I’ll be playing some co-op Return to Moria with the girlfriend while having a few drinks.
I’m currently playing this co-op with my girlfriend and we are enjoying it. The problem I have is the many bugs that are here. These range from streaming issues where you have to wait at a door for the next area to pop in before you can advance, to little things such as my game brightness randomly changing. The game also doesn’t run as smooth as you would think, considering you’re confined to small passage ways and areas. We never had any issues with the tutorial being vague though and have found it quite easy to progress.
I’ve been playing Return to Moria with my girlfriend. We’re definitely enjoying it despite the mixed reviews but it definitely needs some patches to smoothen out the bugs and tighten the combat. I don’t get how the game has streaming and frame rate problems when you are confined to small areas.
I haven’t read any of the reviews but I can imagine a lot of people are comparing this to Far Cry, which is fine by me! Despite being the same formula every game, I still enjoy them. The Avatar setting is just the cherry on top.
