I will watch it someday, if just only out of curiosity. I play and love the games, maybe this movie can be included with Borderlands 4 in 2025 or whenever it is released.
I went to the website using the link. The only complete list of games I could find was a lame video with tiny thumbnails. I'll read some future reviews and maybe then I will consider the service.
Add me to the list of likes the game but not interested in the movie from the trailers and reviews I have read.
Movies are movies and games are games. How many good movies or games are made about the other? Even tv series to movies or movies to tv series is a high odds gamble. Better odds are movies made from novels or short stories.
Number one: The Handsome Collection. It has BL2, Pre-Sequel, dlc to both games minus the Fight for Sanctuary BL2 dlc, and all with upgraded graphics, improved frame rates, and faster loading from the PS3 originals.
Number two: Borderlands 1 on PS4. Has all dlc with improved graphics, frame rates, and loading times from PS3 original.
A younger cast of unknowns with maybe some cameos of known acters/stars would be my preference. The cast used are too old except Tiny Tina, and I just can't help thinking of their previous stuff.
Overall I would rather see a movie that is a parody all the way. A movie like Airplane, Not Another Teen Movie, Kentucky Fried Movie, and others.
My playing habits are the same year round and I play what I desire, new or old, replay or first play. That desire currently is Fallout 4 with the latest update, GTA SA definitive edition, and Just Cause 4, and all on my old PRO.
Looks interesting, but I don't play games with the camera view used in this game. Watching gameplay has me wishing for a True Crime Streets of NY remaster or remake.
Meanwhile four years later: still waiting for remasters/remakes of Total Overdose, Scarface, GTA4, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Dino Crisis 1 and 2, Mercenaries 2, Saints Row 1 and 2, and others.
Is this an updated remaster of the DR game that I did not like, and only played a couple of hours because it all seemed to be annoying clock watching time crucial game play? It has been many years and I believe the first DR game is the DR game that I downloaded and played on my PS3.
From day one online content has had a wall in GTAO, either in grind time or real money shark cards. GTA+ only offers the real money option for some features. I can easily imagine online for GTA6 sold separately like an add on dlc. From there either a monthly fee or an expanded GTA+ for some of the content/features.
The putting of auto collecting safe money from our businesses behind a real money pay wall is just plain incredibly pathetic.
Making lot of game that 68% do not see doesn't mean much without who, what, and why. The percentage of not finished games could also increase with subs like Gamepass and Plus where sampling is easy. That along with long games that are not easy to resume play after an extended absence, and thus may need a restart.
I like both long and short games. However the longer the game the more there is to manage like inventories, leveling, perks, and more along with lots of tiny text to read to hopefully have it all explained well. Long games need to be more long game play and less management and internet searches to explain stuff.
Graphics are very important, but 4K photo realism is not at the top of the list. Graphics for me need to be sharp and not blurry along with good animation and lipsync. That can be provided 720p-1080p. 60fps needs to be the minimum as it makes the graphics smoother. Why have photo looking 4K if it just just blurs with camera movement.
Overall I want a variety of game lengths , but do not need photorealism or complicated management. Least of all I don't want teeny tiny text or to hear a developer say " it's cinematic".
@aj21009 , The online play is the expansion of GTAV. The new playable character is us the players, the story is our story. No it is not like the expansions and dlc of GTAIV and other single player games, but the depth of the online play easily replaces traditional expansions/dlc.
Also the online has always had solo and invite only lobbies, except for some features, however there were tricks to play solo in an open public lobby and now all can be played solo or private.
Oh, ok Phil, whatever you say. We all know your goal is for every gamer to be able to play any game they want to and on any device they want to with, but with only one requirement, Gamepass. However until then you will need to cover that big 69 billion dollar deal by releasing games also on Playstation.
Shadows and Outlaws look good, especially outlaws. I can wait for big price drops on AC games, Black Flag was the last I purchased when released on PS3. However Outlaw I want now after watching the video of gameplay.
Nothing for me and many looked basically like the same game. That is jumping and hopping around defying gravity while swinging huge swords at mostly huge monsters.
A new GTA Six trailer along with a new Mafia game announcement and teaser would have been nice.
New Bioshock, Borderlands, and Mafia? How about doing like Bethesda did at E3 2015 with Fallout 4 and announce hard release dates in 5 months for this coming November. Would make 2025 a special year for me and I will finally upgrade from my 7 year old PRO.
I have yet to play the previous new content so when this summer dlc drops I'll be visiting Los Santos again to play both. It's been awhile, I hope I don't find squatters living in any of my properties.
@tangyzesty, Mods are codes, codes are mods. The early definition on consoles was cheats because it offered easy wins with invincibility and unlimited ammo. Mods are associated with PC gaming as along with easy win cheats were community created stuff like new maps and missions.
I played more games on a PS2 than other systems prior to the PS3. Those games had codes for car colors, car modifications, changing the weather, slowing down or speeding game play, recruiting npc's to join your character, walk through walls, breath under water, spawn vehicles, jump higher, run faster, and much more. Not making a new map or missions mods, but mods none the less.
@CutchuSlow , The Game Genie was released in 1990. It was a device with codes and it plugs into the Nintendo console like a game cartridge.
The PS1 and PS2 Has codes for most games on GameShark disks, disks from other companies, and or, controller inputted codes that come on the game disk. The PS3 and PS4 only have controller inputted codes other than Skyrim and Fallout 4 on PS4 and PS5 that I know of.
My research has the Konami controller inputted code starting with Gradius in 1986 for the 8 bit NES.
All of those old mod codes were referred to as cheat codes on consoles but provided more changes than just infinite health and ammo.
@tangyzesty, consoles games have had mods other than Skyrim and FO4. My first use of mods were with the SNES console in 1993. Mods were very common with PS1 and PS2 console games, but became very rare starting with the PS3 console. However those mods were called cheats and not mods.
Thankfully Fallout 4 has mods where just a few simple mods improve the game without feeling like cheating. Mods like improved settlement scrapping, improving weather, improving graphics, and cleaning settlers dirty faces. Game enjoyment easily overcomes trophies being disabled.
My second Fallout 4 weekend. I am just no hurry cruising at this point, level 29, and I have yet to visit Fog Harbor and Nuka World.
My Sanctuary settlement is at 20 people and 2 dogs. All the shops created, a nice pub built, eight 40 gallon water purifiers, and machine guns and missile turrets for defense.
Like my previous plays of FO4 I wish my settlers looked better. At least they could wash their faces after being rescued. I may give some settler mods a try.
I don't play Fortnite, but I have thousands of hours of GTA and Fallout games. How about Fallout in GTA 5 online?
A Fallout update could include clothing, vault suits, power armor, plasma/laser weapons, a vault residence to purchase, some weird new missions, and maybe some nasty giant rad scorpions.
It looks nice but gameplay here doesn't look interesting to me. Looks repetitive and somewhat boring with the lone character, similiar looking corridors, and no other human characters.
Two purchases of GTA5: PS3 a week after release in 2013, PS4 2016, both disc copies. Over 2,000 hours of single player and online play. Amazing entertainment cost per hour ratio, especially the PS3 years of online play that did not require Plus to play online.
@ApostateMage I hooked up with Cait yesterday, MacCready will be next. Cait is my favorite to travel with.
This weekend is all Fallout 4 on my PS4 Pro. My last replay was about four years ago. Like then I will pass on picking up some trophies for how well a few simple mods improve the game for me.
I use mods that remove the godrays, sun glare, and washed out look, Clear Skies to deal with the too much rain and fog, a better settlement scrapping mod, and a pile of you're special books to reduce the grinding time. Also a mod that fixes the Sanctuary bridge.
Gotta go as there are some settlers that need my help.
@nookie_egg The missing zoom was not available on release but was added to the PS5 in an April 2021 update. Like you I rely on that zoom at times with the teeny tiny text used in some games.
Game saves to usb is allowed if it is a PS4 game save, but not allowed with PS5 game saves.
The PS5 also added folders after release but users say it's not as good as the PS4 folders which also was added after release.
That most new games have been cross gen vastly reduced the need to upgrade to a PS5. The PS4 and PS3 had some cross gen, but much less.
For some, like me, the PS5 was in some ways a downgrade from the PS4. I'm talking ui, no web browser, no folders, no themes, no USB saves, the storage issues, no in game zooming, and other features.
Overall for me I would have updated for just the faster load times and improved performance of my existing library. However the 5 is big and ugly with missing features, and with few must have PS5 only games. I have kept rocking with my now 7 year old PS4 Pro. Also my 2009 PS3 slim for some games like replays of The Saboteur and Fallout 3 and with the dlc.
Phil Spencer may have the job titles, but it's the bean counters in the board room that are most likely making the decisions. With the board all that matters are the stock prices and their annual bonuses. Phil Spencer is the frontman, the face, the one to take the praise and, like now, the heat.
Two mods, 'Disable God Rays', and 'Clear Skies', will vastly improve the graphics. Gone is the washed out look, the sun glare, and volumetric lighting blur. Clear Skies ditches the rain and fog.
I just started a replay on my old Pro and 1080p tv. Boost steadies the frame rates, the motion setting my tv has eliminates the camera motion blur, and those two mods makes it pretty. The only downside to using even those basic mods is that trophies are disabled.
Fallout 4 on consoles definitely needs some of the graphics options provided to PC users.
It seems like 20 years could pass, Rip Van Winkle could have awakened, and we would still be waiting for Fallout 5 and ES6. No GTA 7 yet either, but the remastered definitive special edition of GTA 6 is available for the just released PS8.
Fallout 4 like FO3 and NV are not games, but an experience. The story plays second to exploring, messing around, then sometimes reloading saves to undo stuff.
I love all 3 games and their dlc. Each has it's good and bad. In FO4 the settlement building and companions are all good for me. Building the settlements then populating, defense, businesses, and even dressing the inhabitants was many hours of enjoyment of experimenting.
Soon I will do a replay or at least a visit and see how my settlements are doing.
Hopefully some stuff will be fixed that has kept me from doing a replay of Fallout 4 on my PRO. That is: horrible frames in some downtown locations, poor frames in Far Harbor, raining inside some buildings, and sniper rifle sway and useless scope reticles.
The sniper rifle sways even with full upgrades, max gun skills, and arm braces on each arm, braces that are suppose to negate sway. The bug is that sway only temporarily goes completely away, only to return permanently with no way to remove the sway. Even with no sway the scope reticles are the worst in any game I have played for lining up distant shots.
Mods for the PS4 helps with some issues like removing haze and godrays to improve the colors, the always sunny weather removes the rain in buildings, improves the graphics, and ditches the general over abundance of rain. A scrapping mod allows more clearing of stuff in settlements. However no sniper sway or scope mods to improve sniper rifle use.
Oh well I will see. If not a replay I can still visit an old save file and see how the settlements I built-up are doing.
@BAMozzy @carlos82
Fallout 3 and New Vegas are yes only streaming on PS4 and PS5. No download, no sreenshots/video, and worst of all, no dlc. Without dlc Fallout 3 is only half the game and doesn't not have the real ending. NV the same but to a lesser extent.
Picking up a reduced cost used or even a new Series S to play some back compatible games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas is something to consider. Those games can then be purchased along with dlc and played from an internal drive.
@Ravix Vegas was the location I hoped for with Mafia 3. The early years in the 1950's or Rat Pack- Ocean's 11 era. New Orleans 1969 Dixie Mafia in Mafia 3 was an interesting time and location. The city did seem more alive in that game, the map was large, and vehicle and weapons/ammo delivery was nice additions from previous games in the series. However I would like to see a return of a safe house with stored customizable vehicles like in Mafia 2.
I want Mafia 4, an all new game. The remake of the original was much needed and was a good remake. Mafia 2 and 3 are fine as they are now. Maybe a remaster for 2 with an expanded map and new features, but only after an all new game.
Mafia 4 as a prequel could be interesting as it could include the 1920's prohibition roaring 20's. Hopefully a new game would have a city with more life and side stuff to do than previous games. Don't need much, just some stuff like being able to take taxi rides, interacting with some npc's, more choices of clothing and hair styles, and police that don't have idiot AI.
My advise is play Fallout 3, then New Vegas, and then Fallout 4. However after hundreds of hours of play of those games I do not believe anything is lost in any order of play. The older top down games I have absolutely no desire as I do not like the top down style, but many gamers like those early Fallout games.
Fallout 76? I'll pass on that, but it can be easily sampled by streaming with Plus Premium.
Also with Premium Fallout 3 and NV can be streamed but no download. Along with only streaming is no dlc which makes Fallout 3 an incomplete game, and to a lesser extent the same with New Vegas.
Fallout 4 is a love or hate game, even amongst fans of Fallout. For me I love 90% of it. The settlement building is a big hate or big love. For those like me the settlement building added hours and hours of game play, building and rebuilding the same settlement, saving builds on save files and recording screen shoots, videos, and viewing other builds and tips on youtube. Then there is populating the settlements and then choosing their outfits.
Fallout 4 also has mods. Some simple mods improve the game like with improving weather, graphics, and scrapping. An other simple mod can quicken game play by providing high level perks from the beginning of the game, essentially a new game plus.
All I want is smooth blur free game play. 60fps can eliminate most of the camera motion blur that game makers think we all want but most hate. Thankfully some games on consoles are providing options to turn off camera motion blur. Now they just need to make it a standard like Y axis inversion is standard.
Other standard options should be fov, dof, chromatic aberration, anti aliasing, lens flare, god rays, volumetric atmosphere, grain, and text size options.
Overall regardless of graphics, and any image effect techniques used that degrade the image, 60fps is superior to 30fps because it is smoother.
It will be interesting to see how GTA+ may be used with GTA 6 off and online. At worst it would be required for online play.
Bully, and or, LA Noire would be nice Plus games, especially with the price increase last year. Also the PS4 versions that can be downloaded.
GTA + may be good for new gamers, but for R☆ veterans like me we most likely already own the games we want, and are past needing any freebies in GTA online.
I missed my horses so I'm back to RDR2 online riding around and doing the daily challenges. Also doing a replay of Far Cry Primal. More like a first play as my real first play was short before I moved on to other games. This time I am enjoying it more. It's basically Far Cry Caveman. The most powerful weapon is a thrown spear, for transportation a bear can be trained and ridden, and there is a large pet owl that can drop bee hives on the enemies.
I have wanted to play the PS4 version of RDR. Hoping for a $15 sales price or as an Essentials or Extra game with my Plus subscription. I don't want GTA+.
@NEStalgia
I agree with your point about competition for the same pool of players and about luck. GTAV is a perfect example. The success of GTAV online was more than Rockstar ever imagined. That success caused single player dlc to be replaced by online dlc, the very long delay of GTA VI, and RDR2 online to be givin very low priority for content and especially fixing problems. With GTA V online printing money years after the initial big investment there is no rush to put to market anything that could stop that flow of easy money.
I loved Goat Sim on my PS3, this looks like Squirrel Sim. Looks like a game in my future. It may not sound so manly but squirrels can be so cute sometimes.
I just watched videos of those 4 games mentioned. 3 are a definite pass with only Sea of Thieves the lone interesting game. Grounded might interest me some however the extremely short outdoors infocus distance leading to blur would give me eyestrain and a headache.
Flight Sim, Starfield and the coming Indiana Jones, Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 or any Fallout remasters/ remakes is what I want. Waiting out a year or two of Xbox exclusivity for those games would be OK, I could wait.

Re: GTA 6: Everything We Know So Far
I'm cautiously optimistic that GTA 6 will still be GTA and have a fun, "I can't stop playing it", single player story and sandbox to play in.
To be honest my hype meter is at zero. I need some trailers and a close hard release date for some hype to register.

Re: Fallout 4 Sales Up 7,500% in Europe as Bethesda Series Dominates
@BAMozzy @carlos82
Re: Rumour: 2K Gearing Up for Mafia Announcement
@Ravix
Vegas was the location I hoped for with Mafia 3.
Re: Rumour: 2K Gearing Up for Mafia Announcement
Re: Fallout Beginner's Guide: Best Game to Start With
My advise is play Fallout 3, then New Vegas, and then Fallout 4.
Re: Poll: How Much Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
All I want is smooth blur free game play. 60fps can eliminate most of the camera motion blur that game makers think we all want but most hate. Thankfully some games on consoles are providing options to turn off camera motion blur. Now they just need to make it a standard like Y axis inversion is standard.
Other standard options should be fov, dof, chromatic aberration, anti aliasing, lens flare, god rays, volumetric atmosphere, grain, and text size options.
Overall regardless of graphics, and any image effect techniques used that degrade the image, 60fps is superior to 30fps because it is smoother.
Re: L.A. Noire, Bully Both Coming to GTA+ Subscription Service This Year
It will be interesting to see how GTA+ may be used with GTA 6 off and online.
Re: Random: Vladimir Putin Considers Creation of Russian Gaming Console
I knew it, Vlady is a gamer. He often has that look of counting down the time to when he can get back to his latest favorite video game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 522
Re: Red Dead Redemption Is Now Included with Subscription Service GTA+
I have wanted to play the PS4 version of RDR. Hoping for a $15 sales price or as an Essentials or Extra game with my Plus subscription. I don't want GTA+.
Re: Days Gone Dev Bend Studio Staffing Up for 'AAA Live Service' Game
@NEStalgia
Re: Rumour: GTA 6 Could Slip as Far Back as 2026 Due to Development Issues
GTA VI maybe now taking even more than " for ever man" is just another reason why the current gen is like not so cool.
Re: Vault Dweller Experiences Wasteland Justice in Fallout Prime Video Teaser
I got to admit that Power Armor with Jetpack scene is awesome. Makes me want to load a save file from Fallout 4 to just mess around a while.
Re: PS Plus Extra Loses These 11 PS5, PS4 Games Next Month
Oh 🙀 no! Not Bassmaster Fishing 2022. Going to give Ghostbusters a try before it's removed.
Re: There's a Squirrel with a Gun, and He's Firing at PS5
I loved Goat Sim on my PS3, this looks like Squirrel Sim. Looks like a game in my future. It may not sound so manly but squirrels can be so cute sometimes.
Re: Xbox Is Bringing Four Exclusives to PS5, But It Won't Say Which
I just watched videos of those 4 games mentioned.
