If i was playing on PS5 the motion blur slider would be most welcome. A motion blur slider along with an fov slider are setting options that i wish would be as standard as is the option of reversing the camera y axis. Two thumbs up to anything that shortens loading times.

@naruball, Sony does not need to compete with the MS S if there is readily available stock and it's not selling well? But reality is that PS5 stock is not readily available, either model, and the X seems only a fraction more available.

With regular supplies and no covid the S model may not be as desireable, but there has been covid. However in "normal" times the S would still offer value with price and features even though it is not a full current gen like the X and PS5 models are.

I wonder about the current sales numbers. Total X's + total S's, and total disc drive PS5's + total digital PS5's. From what i hear S's are easy to purchase while X's are a lot less easy. I hear next to nothing about the two PS5 models like if one or the other is more easy to purchase.

Crunching sales numbers may reveal how total gen sales for MS may be highly bolstered by their $300 S model that is small, looks better than any PS5, plays current gen games, has BC, plays game pass, has a web browser, and seems easy to obtain for purchase new. Sony has nothing to compete with the S.

Overall Sony will sell at least as well as MS this gen when supplies improve and more exclusives are released. Competing against MS Game Pass? Absolutely maybe.

I expect at minimum some upscale in resolution and smooth 30fps or 60 fps. Manuel save anywhere at anytime is great for any game on any system.

My interests are in PS3 games that i can play from my PS4 or PS5 hard drive, have improved graphics and frame rates, and that i can purchase. For example are PS3 games that were released at the same time on PS4 like Far Cry 4 or released later as good quality upgraded PS4 editions like with GTA 5, Skyrim, the Borderlands series, and the Dead Island series.

Correction to my previous post: It is on PS4 as i found from researching the game. Having only PS5 listed in this review led me to think it was PS5 only. Also i found the omitted game rating is a Teen rating.

After watching some Road 96 video:

Looks to me like Arizona, New Mexico, or Nevada USA. But then what do i know? Maybe one of those fictional counties it could be in is Kenya, France, Japan, or maybe Greenland?

Road 96 = Route 66 the historic road from Los Angeles to Chicago.

Overall Road 96 looks interesting and a future play someday. Why is it not coming to the PS4?

I think 9.51 is mandatory as i was kicked from psn until i updated. I had paused RE3 to do a web search, went back to the game, and then paused again to return to my web search. and found i was not connected to psn and had to update to reconnect.

This is another example of why to wait for technical reviews before purchasing a video game. Can you imagine paying to view a movie and the audio cuts out sometimes, the frame rates are slow and go slide show at times, and characters fall through floors or sidewalks? Then after viewing the movie, or walking out midway, you are given a ticket for a free viewing after the movie is patched.

Two things i look forward to in video games: the next game i will like very much and replaying a game i like very much. So remakes and remasters do get my interest. Remakes like Mafia, RE2, and RE3 got me excited and after playing had me wishing for more remakes.

Many gamers are first timers with remakes of PS2 and PS1 gen games. Some were not even born yet when the older gamers were playing the originals.

My last play was 6 years ago on PS4 at a sale price. What a deal, and i had many lol moments with the characters facial animations. The screaming baby? Just mute the sound.

It will be interesting to see how ambitious the remakes will be. Could those remakes be as good as the Mafia remake?

Definitely a day one purchase for Forrest Gump. I will wait for when it's a Plus game.

XBOX X&S for backwards compatibilty to last gen, and some PS3 and PS2 era games, bc games owned, not rented, BC game upgrading, web browser, cd play, a smaller non goofy looking console, exclusives not as good as Sony exclusives, and odd asymmetrical sticks placement. Also game pass.

PS5 for, no web browser, no cd play, bc to PS4 games, disappointing bc to other than PS4 games, excellent exclusive games that MS can only dream of having, big ugly odd looking design, "normal" symmetrical stick placement, and good a history of hardware durability. Also nothing, to date, as good as XBOX game pass.

Mafia 3 definitive edition PS4 Pro. My second play, my first was 5 years ago on my regular PS4. This play i have the 3 dlc and some weapons, outfits, and cars included at the start.

The game looks better than i remember from 5 years ago, the frame rates are smooth, but there is a stutter sometimes when leaving places like Burke's junkyard. Also the daytime lighting is better but still needs work. Adjusting my monitor helped some.

After playing some and viewing the map, city and country, i thought what a great map for a GTA game, single and multiplayer. I find it fun just to park my T-Bird on a city street to watch the peds and listen to the radio play 1960's music.

A future purchase after patches and i play a game or two i already have. The only BL game i do not like is "Tales", and that is because of how the game plays. All other BL games i have multiple play throughs along with hours of grinding for legendaries.

So... You want to hear a story,eh?

I like DC2 and have many replays, once last year. I downloaded DC1 but can not play it because on the controls, no analog sticks for movement. I will pass on whatever this trailer is for.

Rain? In GTA games i find less is best. Seeing, hearing, and or feeling it.

What interests me is how the DualSense could make different vehicle types feel different to drive in GTA5. Also different weapon types feeling different to shoot.

6/15, all but two were quesses. Wolfenstein and JC2 i knew although JC2 is the only one i played. After extensive hours of play and repeatedly hearing the enemy soldiers yell " For The Glory Of Panau" how could i forget.

Would really dig hearing some news about moooooooooore interiooooooors in this super duper, ultimate, and insanely awesome PS5 version of GTA5. 4K, 60fps, RT, and probably Bahama Mamas West still closed and not used. Unlike the long wait for the Casino to open the BMW interior is in the original 2013 GTA5 file.

Watching the dancing one spooked me a little until i realized i was not hearing voices in my head. It was hearing music , The Macarena.

Overall i have almost no interest anymore in GTA5. Too many hours of play since release September 2013 on PS3 & 4. 60 fps, 4K, more grass, ect is not enough. It is still the same old map and same old story. I will wait fot GTA6 and something new.

GTA5 PS5 edition has yet to release and have 2 years of milking so my guess is GTA6 release is not before fall of 2024.

Sluggish menu on the PS5? Probably worse then on the PS4. Come on now if a game maker can't make a snappy quick and smooth menu and ui then maybe they should not be making video games.

Dragon Keep i will play. I like that dlc and being able to replay it without the full game needed will be nice.

Sony needs to rethink their decision with Planet Coaster and come to senses and offer it also for PS4.

Fun game that really nails creepyness. The Baker family and home look straight out of a nightmare.

RE7 also had a memorable demo that released the day RE7 was revealed at E3 2016. Players attempted to find clues and ended up getting punched as they heard "welcome to the family".

What is Sony gonna do? Unless asleep at the wheel Sony has known about, or suspected, past, present, and future MS purchases long before we have read about it here. With that Sony should have contingency plans to counter what MS does or may do.

Hopefully Sony has some good plans.

Same with Fallout New Vegas. Once that little glitch was resolved New Vegas was absolutely awesome.

A little bit of good news and all, but as usual i will wait for reviews. I am hoping it works well on a PRO and has a performance option along with the options to turn off camera motion blur and for fov.

Looks stupid, looks like fun, and that adds up to stupid fun. Definitely has my interest after watching this trailer.

100 hours building and populating settlements in FO4.
50 hours farming the Turtle in Dying Light.
100+ hours killing zombies, free roam, in Dying Light.
400+ days streak doing RDO dailies.
500 hours or more GTA 5, off and online, since 2013.

500 hours is a lot for any game, but more so if that time is in just one playthrough. However i find that time flys when having fun.

Audio logs yes. Reading notes and books? No, unless needed for a mission or hidden loot.

Dying Light is my favorite zombie game to date so yea DL2 is my current most wanted. I hope it plays well on my old PRO.

With all the gear maybe we will get a nasty flamethrower so we can "Burn Baby Burn, Zombie Inferno."

Web browser on a game console? We don't need no stinking web browser on a game console. Right? Well now on second thought maybe one could be convenient for some of the people all of the time and maybe even all of the people some of the time.

@ Nexozi no i do not want an XBOX. I want a PS5 that is smaller, already black, and has a web browser. The current XBOX checks those boxes and does so at the same price as a PS5.

As for a web browser on a console. Why not? For a lot of basic info on sports, weather, news, game info, and google searches my PS4 browser is easy and convenient. I am using my PS4 browser now while a game i am playing is paused.

Let me know when i can get a black PS5 without having to pay an extra 55 bucks. On second thought let me know when i can get a slimmer black PS5 at no extra cost. On third thought a slimmer black PS5 with a web browser at no extra cost, you know like the current XBOX.

My breakfast minimum for system performance is fresh dark roast coffee, black, fresh fruit, and with whatever i have and feel like eating. A favorite is leftover pizza rejuvenated in a skillet with some butter.

Looks like this may provide a nice break from my usual looting, shooting, and blowing up stuff.

So with GTA fans having high desire for GTA 6 we get remasters of PS2 GTA games. Were there that many fans loudly voicing for these remasters? PS2 gen games need remakes not remasters like the Mafia remake. A remake of Vice City released this year or next would be much better than this trilogy remaster released this year instead.

And yes definitely return the originals to the PSN store.

Why is it almost always, it seems, that almost all delays are delayed to the the last week/end of a future month?

I'll pass on these remasters for now. Maybe i will reconsider after i have tired of playing GTA6.

@Ghostngoblins, Rain and other weather/atmosphere effects are ok in video games if....If those effects are done well, not overdone, and certainly do not unnecessarily make a game annoying to impossible to play.

I could really go on a long rant about annoying weather and atmosphere effects in video game.. Some GTA games, RDR2, and Fallout 4 would be good examples. Thankfully GTA games provide built in weather codes . GTA4 is one GTA game that allows trophies if weather codes are used.

RDR2 online has been fun, but has annoying weather effects . Clear weather only about 15% of the time at most as clear and sunny turns to haze, fog, or sand storms in 3 minutes. Unfortunately there is no code to imput to clear the weather so i can actually see and then be able to actually play the game.

So an accidental slip and Tommy and Claude will still drown. That's annoying.

It seems a bit silly now about how awesome i thought it was when back in 2004 i found that CJ in SA could not only swim but also swim underwater.

GTA4 is my least favorite GTA game from PS2 to present. Poor graphics on the PS3 and overall lacking and disappoining. A remaster of TBOGT with improved car and motorcycle handling and at 60fps is all i would care to replay.

Like with the coming Trilogy remaster i rather hear about and play something new. Like freaking GTA 666666666666666666!

My concern is how this may effect the performance of the game. I have been thinking of a replay, disk copy, and as the game is now it has played smooth on my Pro, has a small file size, and i only use a couple of mods for good weather and no god rays.

I love this game, online and story mode, but i can only play for about 5 minutes now before i get annoyed because of the need to tap X to run.

It is really jarring coming from toggle to run to tap tap tap tap and tap tap tap tap to keep running. Making it even worse now is Far Cry 6 which offers just pressing the L stick forward to run with no need to toggle another button.

Red Dead Online has X for run and can be toggled instead of holding or tapping to run. However tapping X is stilled need to make your horse gallop.

Far Cry 6 on PS4 Pro. I am still on the first island holding back doing missions to explore to find weapons and materials needed to upgrade the weapons. I have one amigo, the gator, and the amount he helps varies from a little to a lot.

So far the game looks great, good frame rates, and the settings options are more than most console games have. Motion blur off, yes! That said there is still too small of text like when reading the letters and notes that are left in various locations. Using the PS4 zoom helps big. However subtitle size can be set larger and as white on a black background. Excellent!

My limited time with FC6 has me thinking i will end up enjoying FC5 more. FC6 may have a more varied map and more settings options, and look great with smooth frame rates, but FC5 will probably overall be more fun and with a more snappy play feel. More snappy as FC6 feels slow with button responses, especially bringing up the world map. I tried bluetooth and usb connections. Maybe a future patch will fix the button lag along with the silly low ammo carry limit and annoying process of using the photo mode.

Controls? Please:

Custom mapping of buttons. Like in Borderlands 3
No tapping X to run. Press once to toggle run.

Less fidgety movement. Slow to faster walking depending how far forward the left stick is pushed with sprint a seperate selection for fastest.

Tap to do actions. No annoying press and hold for 5 seconds just to exit/enter a car or interior.

Hopefully Tommy and Claude have learned to swim a little, and hopefully there are some fun codes that the originals have. Codes like peds riot, cars on water, and recruit anyone.
