Must be a fun ride. But man games arent cheap these days. i cant justify a hundred canadian dollars for this.

@Bunchesopuppies hey, i had eye laser surgery, my vision is above average now. and i still think that texts and subtitles are too small since the ps4. i always end up pumping the texts as large as possible when the option is there.
The core of the problem comes from devs that mostly play on pc. you dont have this problem when you game close to a pc screen VS game on a couch.

To me, second story is one of the best RPG ever made.
so much innovations came with it that are now standards.
and all the cryptic and hidden stuff. i finished it a couple of times and i am still not sure if i truly saw everything.

i would buy a ps5 pro, but never got into slim consoles. At least, not unless something breaks and i cant repair it.

this games looks so unattractive. its like a poor man lego style with tons of random stock 3d models patched together. its a visual mess!

well...often, too many features is just too much. Just like Genshin, feels like it will end up overburdened by events and new features. These games want all your attention and gaming time.
its fine for some people i guess, but with the quantity of quality games coming out, i cant be a one game guy.

after 2 years of Genshin impact, there is no way i am getting back into gacha games. im done. too much of a time sink.
the gacha system took too much space making the game more confusing than it should with weird story arcs that make no sense and way too much events.

We are in an era of gorgeous games.
But man... i cant go to another soul's like after elden ring. I'm burned.
The next one will have to be exceptionally fantastic or its a no go for me.

As much as these changes are nice, it doesnt help with the main problem it has.
Monsters that lvlup as you progress. Now... any meaningless dungeons and areas feel like the same. Diablo is mostly about feeling super powerful after a long journey of grinding and looting. Now it seems rather pointless if monsters lvlup as you do.
HINT: witcher 3 had an option to tick on/off for this exact feature. fixed levels or the opposite.

there is never enough games coming from Insomniac Studios. BRING IT ON

@SegaBlueSky oh i do. but one must also anticipate things and know that a vast majority of online games are sadly short-live.
Just know what you're getting into and have a plan B. simple common sense.

Im not even sure how many games i started with this one. But whatever update, i feel like ive seen more than enough already.
But for newcomers, its a more than welcome addition for sure.

played the first one A LOT. finished the second without going too deep. then.. tried every other opus without finishing them. for a reason, none really sticks for long.
Disgaea has a lot of anime clichés and annoying characters. This doesnt help.

impressive. Played genshin since the beginning, but i stopped something like 3 months ago. it was really good. really.
But the game started to push way too much events in the past year. I realized i wasnt paying attention to story anymore, skipping text to get to rewards as fast as possible.
Also, the main story felt like it became a a reason to add characters for gacha, and it didnt feel as good or well paced as the first arcs.
Whatever. fun experience, not coming back.

im always broke after Summer, so Fall is a moment of backlog gaming. i can wait anyway, that backlog is so huge

LOVED their PS2 era games. Dark cloud, rogue galaxy comes to mind. i think they did dragonquest 8 too, am i right ? too lazy to google.

A new updated take is a HUGE welcome. even if it looks like a very close experience.
i mean, i didnt see much new stuff in that trailer. its looks like a quality remaster of the first, and that's all good to me.

i planned to not buying games until febuary cause im broke. psplus gives me more than enough. thats great !

well... i wont be buying an xbox or a gaming pc, so it might be a game i will never play if this happens.
its sad, but whatever, there are tons of games to play.

@mariomaster96 you can use an xbox, playstation or even a 8bitdo controller on a phone.
yet, its still playing on a phone. its bad. You will either drain the battery super fast or make it overheat.

Porting a game on a mobile on ios/android can be a really tedious puzzle of optimization and assets/tech conversion.
Even there, the market for games on mobile platform is so much different. its just not worth it, better spend time on a new project.

Every year i am fooled by hype and buy a day one major game. And every time, the game is either buggy or has some major improvement & content just a couple month later. I swear, EVERY TIME.
Not gonna happen this time. I will let it mature.

Seems like a charming game... but why that cringe art style.
Anthro-furry characters are not my cup of tea at all, i just dont get it.
i mean, its not like they look bad, they're well drawn and all. its just... an anthro/furries awkwardness issue to me.
ill try it if on psplus for sure. who knows, i might go over the art and still enjoy it.

Might be a worthy game to comeback once it has evolved with updates and expansions.
D3 had an amazing expansion that really made the game better overall.

The game was a bit more than 100 canadian dollars here. let me guess, they want more money for an expansion ?

cause i dont feel i had a 100$ worth of gaming with D4.
the game was fun while it lasted, but man it got brainless grindy after we completed the story. Felt like i was playing Robotron with hires graphics.

@General_Disarray D4 was fun... but i think i overly expected a masterpiece.
it just didnt sticked as much as the other diablos. Post game was... tiresome. We were literally falling asleep on the couch while grinding. lost 2 hardcore characters because of that hahaha

well... time to cut that subscription.
The extras were amazing but after a year i feel like i tried those i judged worthy. Some of the monthly psplus games are fine, but most of them i wouldnt even have bought. And most of them i never finish anyway.
For the rare occasions a psplus game is one i would have bought, its not worth it for the new psplus price. ill just buy the games and they'll be mine and not stuck into a subscription account.

yakuza series. Feels like everything in there is made for my tastes.
japan culture, street brawl, rpg elements, weirdness, yakuzas, etc
But why cant i finish any of these games.

i played the portable version 2 years ago. never played the other versions.
a really charming rpg, im eager to see how it will be with their new game engine.

This one hits exactly where i needed a good gaming scratch.
old school rpg with all these years of game developing experience to prevent tons of annoying things.

looks like brainless fun.
there is always room for a single player shooter now and then.
