@Matthewnh upscale it with HDR? The game has HDR itself.
It might work regarding the framerate but you will have additional input lag with this kind of upscaling from your AVR.

I’m pretty sure they will improve those minor stutters in cutscenes with upcoming patches.

I would have expected only 1440p - which would have been ok, too.

Uncharted 4 from the legacy of thieves collection - really enjoying it again. After my playthrough of the Lost legacy with 60 fps, I chose the 120 fps mode for U4.
Otherwise a bit of Maneater und CoD Modern warfare campaign.

@JJ2 it’s not crazy expensive. You can get a fantastic LG Oled with full hdmi 2.1 compatibility for 1200€ (55 inch).

The VRR thing is becoming a bad joke.
When this won’t be included in this, I guess, April update then it most likely won’t be available until Oct/Nov 2022 when the next larger system update will be released - in this case VRR would launch 2 years after the consoles initial release date.

Such a great game. Will sometime jump back in the game for a 2nd run with another play style.
It’s a great after launch support by the dev. Some patches were definitely needed because of a relatively „average“ shape of the game at launch.
But nevertheless they also improved a lot of additional stuff, too. Faster loading times are very welcome, these seemed to be way too long, especially for consoles with SSD.

@jgrangervikings1 on base PS4 the performance is very weak. But for this price why not. If you get upgrade to a PS4 pro or even Ps5 sometime later it will be worth it.

Bought the upgrade. It’s fair with the ticket for the movie for free in the cinema.
I absolutely like the lost legacy - currently playing it again. So nice with the 60 Fps.
Had hopes for some further visual improvements, probably to see what’s coming next from naughty dog. Nevertheless still very good looking games.

I really enjoyed Lost Legacy. The 30 fps with slightly slow and unresponsive controls were the biggest downer for me in these games.
Lucky to play them again with the 60 fps, not urgently but for the 10 € with the cinema ticket it’s totally fine. Will do the upgrade this Friday.

Of course it hurts a bit, but it could be worse than that. There are so many independent dev studios with great games out there, if it’s only CoD and some old Blizzard legacy titles that have to leave the PlayStation… it’s not the end of the world.
Horizon, the insomniac games, something like ghost of Tsushima, housemarque … all of them are way better than CoD.

MS has a heavy pressure now to get a return for their invest of 70 billion. Game pass can not be so cheap anymore…
But of course, it’s also pressure on Sony, they have to step up their lineup as well now. 1 1/2 years for a VRR update can not be the regular case in the future for example.

@awp69 that’s true but this doesn’t say anything about quality. Even FIFA is a top selling game year for year, but who really cares about this as a gamer with experience?
The acquisition will definitely make a difference and strengthens the position of the Xbox but I don’t really see that the Xbox system is a must buy now. If you mostly play CoD then yes, but there is a lot more to play on a console or PC.

@awp69 but what kind of games do you expect? Blizzard and Bethesda are not the same anymore. Do you really thrilled for their upcoming games when you think about Fallout 76, CoD and world of Warcraft?

I would care the most about Diablo 4 when it would come exclusively on Xbox, everything else?
The last Activision games that I bought were Diablo 3 and CoD WW2, first one on discount, second one used over eBay.
It’s all fine but Sony needs to do something. I’m sure they have something in the pipeline.

@NinjaWaddleDee on the Pc it’s a new release and they put a lot of effort in it. It’s a very good pc version.
If we want cheaper prices for a game that’s „older“ but I can understand the price tag here with 50 USD as a new release on pc.

@Marquez that’s exactly what I do when I play outriders with a friend. I play on Ps5 and he on pc. The game doesn’t offer a ingame vice chat soo he uses discord on pc and I have it in my smartphone. Not the most convenient way but it works. Will be so much better when discord is integrated in the PlayStation OS.

Not a huge fan of rogue likes tbh. I’m currently on Deathloop, still not sure if I like it after the first 5 hours.
