I wish there was a 50% volume option. I might try muting, but I'm so used to it by now that I probably think something is wrong with my console when not hearing a beep.
It doesn't need to be a problem as long as missions and side quests have quality. They need to add to the story and overall experience. Just don't give us 20 hours of uninteresting forgettable fetch quests like collecting feathers. I need this game to be good. If it sucks, this will probably be my last game in this franchise. I found Odyssey underwhelming and Valhalla a major letdown. The promise of returning to their roots with Mirage is the only thing keeping me interested at this moment. I need Ubisoft to fulfill that promise.
It just doesn't feel like a PoP game to me. Too flashy and too much fast paced action. Same way that AC:Valhalla doesn't feel like a real Assassin's Creed game. Sometimes I think modern day Ubisoft creates random game concepts without knowing what they are making, and slams a popular IP on it to boost sales. This looks like a reskinned/modded Assassin's Creed Chronicles game.
But what if I bought the standard edition and would like to own the upgraded Ch 1 & 2 Deluxe Edition bundle?
Is there a separate upgrade path for that bundle if you already own the standard edition of Chapter 1?
That bundle has a lot of extra content.
As far as I can see I would need to pay $10 upgrade for Ch1 and the $50 Payback Edition to get all that content. Which is the same price as the Ch 1 & 2 Deluxe Edition bundle, also priced $60
Need to think about which option makes more sense.
@Amnesiac
That's how I have it now, but I still find it cumbersome. Especially when there is both a PS4 and PS5 version of the game. Or a PSVR1 and PSVR2 version of the game.
What happens next is when you select a game in a custom game library you created, it will first show both versions and ask you which version you want to play, even though only one version is installed and the other needs to be downloaded.
So you select the correct and and it will take you to the game page where you have to do another button press to start the game. These are extra steps that I like to avoid.
I got around this somewhat by going through every multiplatform game that I own in my library, then select the version that I don't want to see and hide it in my library. However, after doing this you still need to remove the multiplatform game from your custom library and then add it again, otherwise it will continue to show the multiple versions of said game. Once you've done this it will take you straight to the correct game's version start page where you can boot up the game.
So each time i buy a new game I have to repeat all these steps to have my library in order. And each time I delete a game I have to manually throw them out of the game library as well, otherwise they'll just stay in there even though the game is not installed.
Nice features. But all I really want is a good folder system, like we had on PS4. In which I can place folders right on the home screen. The game Library is a step in the right direction, but not good enough.
I don't want to scroll through endless lists with hundreds of items that aren't even installed on my console right now.
I just want to create folders on my home screen for my installed:
@NEStalgia My gut feeling is also telling me to get Ragnarok over Drums Rock. It seems a better game and the environments and the element that you're in a real boat race makes this stand out as a more fun experience to me. The only downside for me is that game prioritises following the melodies of songs over simulating actual drums. If it was actually following the drums in the song, this would be a no-brainer for me. Also maybe a nitpick, but the metallic sound cue telling you that your special power is ready sounds lame.
It was a dumb quib every 2 seconds or so for the entire trailer. I expected more from Rocksteady. This feels like a soulless corporate "games as a service" game. Removed from my wishlist.
I love the show. Only minor complaint is that it seems like each episode is it's own self contained story in which new characters will also leave that show at the end of the episode to never return. I would have loved to see some characters return in multiple episodes so we can get more attached to them or feel more impact when they leave.
The whole espisode about Bill feels like it could have been the last episode of a season or even show, it was that good!
But it would have been so much better if we first get to meet Bill a couple of episodes before we get the episode that we got.
3D Blu-ray support would make me so happy! But I'm afraid the PS5 disc drive doesn't support 3D movie playback, so it might be a hardware issue that can't be solved via a firmware update.
XCOM 2 is currently on sale for just €2,50 in EU PSN. That's an abdsurd low price! Even the expansion "War of the Chosen" is just €3,99 (45+ hours of extra content)!
Hope these low prices and no current titles in development is an indication that the studio is having a rough time.
How does this work? Do I have to buy each piece of DLC for full price again? Or do I pay a one-time upgrade fee? I already found it annoying that I had to pay full price for all the (Star Wars) PSVR tables while owning the the non-VR versions.
This sounds promising, but I don't trust Ubisoft entirely and it may just be PR talk. I want it to be true, but with like a bunch of other AC games in developent (Hexe, Red, Jade, Invicus, Infinity), I don't know if they are going to deviate too much from the last games.
And if they do and Mirage will be a success because of that gameplay style, are they going to reimplement this in future projects as well? Or is this just a "one time only" thing, to appease to the old skool fans and then back to the "RPG" formula as in the last few games?
It's made bij Neill Blomkamp, the guy that made District 9, Elysium, Chappie and some live action HALO and Anthem short movies for those companies and creater of the show "Oats Studios" on Netflix. Neill Blomkamp is an excellent underrated director with some of the best CGI in the business, who also loves video games. This is a perfect match for the movie!
Definitely going to watch this!
By the way, I love how they already tease static camera angles that mimic playing the games. That could be insane viewing this in 3D!
The movie Need for Speed did this in some scenes too, which looked excellent and made for one of the better 3D experiences to date, even though the movie itself wasn't that great.
Do you guys think this will tie into the Gran Turismo PSVR2 game?
Glad they acknowledge it's still in the making! This is a must buy for me. It was weird how it fell of the radar after a rather enticing introduction during a PSVR direct over a year ago.
@LiamCroft
Technically it doesn't "confirm" it, but it would be a weird choice to advertise a game this way, on a console that it will not be available on to play.
@Michael2008ish I hear you. But I've already played the original one, so the remake must be really good to make the experience feel fresh to me. And on the other hand, everything that made Dead Space the successful game that it is, is because of the guy that has now made The Callisto Protocol, so I'm still undecided what to choose, lol. If you've never played Dead Space before, that will probably be the best choice. If you have played it, I'm not so sure.
I expected it to be a spiritual sequel to Dead Space, so the familiarity in gameplay isn't a issue for me. My main question will be "Is it better than the upcoming Dead Space Remake?" Based on that result I will buy one of these two games.
One of my most anticipated games in a long while! It's mainly just blind confidence in Fireaxis + Marvel license that has me rooted for this game. Let's hope my trust in them is justified. 😅
@PegasusActual93 And that's exactly what I'm afraid of. The storytelling in this game is just as beautiful as it is heart wrenching. Just because I know what is coming doesn't necessarily mean it is a less intense experience 😅
I want to see this series. But at the same time I don't want to see it. As a man, a father, this is one of those few stories that really tug on the heartstrings. Living through the games was intense. Not sure if I'm ready to do it a second time.
YEEEEESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never thought we would see a movie based on this franchise! I kinda hope it will be over the top and retro looking as "KUNG FURY".
I gave it an eight, although compared with other games it should realistically score a little lower, I think. But I give it an eight because it's the best and freshest Sonic games in years and there is no other game that gives a similar experience!
The release of Sonic Frontiers actually made me buy "Sonic Colors: Ultimate". I love Sonic. The 16-Bit MegaDrive with Sonic was my first console ever. I was just never a fan of the 3D Sonic games.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate seems a fun and cheap game to introduce me in the 3D Sonic games.
If I like that one, I will buy Frontiers also.
The esthetics of Sonic Colors: Ultimate seems more in line with what I consider as "Sonic", but the darker vibe of Frontiers is intriguing.
@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy I prefer physical over digital. But when it's a smaller game, which is available digital for half the price of the physical version + it has packaging based on a different generation console as what I own then I indeed tend to skip the physical release it and buy it either digital, or when the PS5 physical version appears as is the case now. I just like to have all PS5 branded physical game cases when the option is there 😙
@Member_the_game
I have to say that I didn't buy the physical version because the boxart says PS4. If I can find a PS5 physical version for a reasonable price, I might actually be tempted to buy that one.
I think physical collectors will actually enjoy this decision.
Same trophy list as PS4? Same loading speeds? And I guess you can't play the native PS5 version from an external HDD as is the case with all native PS5 games. But this is possible with the PS4 version.
Something to take into consideration if the performance is exactly the same.
Anyone knows the size of this game?
@RBMango Preferably, yes. But it depends on the difference in graphical quality. E.g. does it still have ray-tracing and all those bells and whistles with that mode.
People are more thirsty for good singleplayer games than to care about a game being 30 or 60 FPS. As long as the framerate is stable and the game looks pretty, it's not a big of an issue as people pretend it to be, unless we're talking fast paced reaction games like Call of Duty or Devil May Cry etc.
